Who is the true Israel? Who is the true Jew? In today’s show, guest Dr. R. Scott Clark and Pastor Chris Gordon dive into the current state of Israel and how it can cause people to look to biblical prophecy for answers. They discuss and dispel the dispensational view and clearly define who the true Israel is. Listen in as they go through scripture to parse out how Jesus is the center of the story, the true Israel of God and the perfect obedient son. They stress why it’s so important for Christians today to understand and accurately define who the true Jew is, not a person of the flesh, but of the regenerated spirit.

A very good discussion that is much needed in our day. I am grateful that my Reformed pastor spends much time deprogramming those is us who grew up in Dispensationalism. It’s not easy because it is a deep infection.

Fascinating truth presented in this video. Thank you so much for sharing this information with folks like me who grew-up in dispensationalism.

Thank you for this thought provoking discussion. When Scott states that "we are the Israel of God" in Galatians 6:16, is he asserting that the New Testament saints are the Israel of God, or all the saints in salvation history (sons of Abraham counted righteous by faith)? Hebrews 11 seems to state that all the saints counted righteous by faith are made perfect together (Hebrews 11:40). Blessings

When a dispensationalist says “the church has not replaced Israel,” what he or she is really saying is, “Christians have not replaced Israel.” This phrase, depending upon how it is construed, can allude to various aspects of ecclesiology. First, they could be stating that the New Testament ekklesia (Christians; Jew & Gentile) has not replaced the Old Testament ekklesia (Israel; the twelve tribes, sojourners, and proselytes) as the ekklesia of God. That assertion is false, according to Jesus. Matthew 21:43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.” If there are any doubts, ask yourself if you can cite some differences between the Old Testament ekklesia and the New Testament ekklesia. Secondly, their intent may be to state that Christians haven’t replaced Israel (the natural descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) as the recipients of the promises to Abraham through the Seed. Thirdly, their intent may be to state that Israel is elect and will be restored when the Son of man returns as King. Do you see how easy it is for us to miscommunicate and talk past one another? Our great challenge is to communicate Biblical truth with additional Biblical truths in order to gain understanding. Blessings

For as long as the Church consists of believing Jews and Gentile, then what is called Replacement Theology should be called Union Theology. That is because believing Jews and believing Gentiles are united to become the one people of God.

Now they're saying that the temple will be built next to the mosque; that the original site of the temple wasn't where the mosque is, but next to it. Either way, they're still wrong.

Wouldn't you agree, Jacob, that there's a big difference between Judaism versus Zionism?

1. The New Covenant brings gentiles to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Paul reminds believers not to become conceited and think that Jews are grafted to them. Israel is the original. Christianity as a whole has become its own separate religion but this is contrary to truth: the WAY as recorded in the book of Acts is part of Sinai/Mosaic Judaism but not necessarily part of Rabbinic Judaism. Jesus/Yeshua came the first time to point out where Judaism had strayed by making it's own traditions. In Babylonian exile they had made their own laws parallel to the laws God had given because there was no Temple. Believers are brought to the New Covenant by the Spirit of Yeshua who is the same yesterday, today and forever. What many seem to miss is that "the church" is not it's own separate body; it continues the Covenant to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Twelve Tribes and 12 apostles, all "Jewish." Gates and foundation stones.... 2. All of the prophecies and promises to Israel have not yet been fulfilled. The believing remnant joins into this plan. The twelve tribes each have 12,000 representatives. 3. Physical Israel has a physical calling to live God's law before the nations. This includes the laws that elucidate that some of Israel is "cut off" by breaking certain commands. Yeshua also revealed to John that some who claim to be Jews are not part of physical Israel or believing Israel. Many prophecies indicate that the whole house of Israel will be resurrected and return. Our beliefs must incorporate the whole counsel of God, including every portion of scripture.

One more comment, should the present nation of Israel be bound to follow International Law? Or should Israel be allows to treat its Arab citizens and the Palestinians in the Occupied Territories as less than equal to Israel's Jewish citizens? Anti-semitism is horrible. But Jews are not the only ones who are Semites. When the term Anti-Semitism was first used, there might have been the only Semitic people who were being persecuted in Europe, but they are not the only Semites. To reduce Anti-Semitism to prejudice against Jews only, is to let hatred of other groups to fly in under the radar.

Yes. The church is Israel. Jews can be grafted back in though if they repent and accept Jesus. Pray for them

All the gates and walls are named for Jews -- the 12 Patriarchs and 12 apostles. There are 12,000 from each tribe who comprise the 144,000. The Remnant has the commandments of God and the Testimony of Yeshua. Just as the early church. It is not a new religion... It is a branch of Judaism called the Way.
