One Christmas, I wrote to Santa for a backpack with multiple pockets(meaning more than 2) but when I got my present, there were only two pockets in the backpack. #CrappyHolidays

On Easter we drove to Indiana to see my brother in the house he just moved to, he made a ham and my dad complained we didnt have mustard. My mom got in the van and went to go get mustard and busted a tire. My dad and brother went an put the spare on, and then she drove to the store and on her way back the spare popped. We had to stay the night in my brothers very empty house on the floor until the next day. My dad wears a cpap and snored the entire night. The next day was my 21st birthday and I spent it changing a tire, and driving back to Ohio, just to get to the restaurant I wanted to go to when they closed at 9pm. Worst easter/birthday ever. Really set me up for my adulthood. P.s. my dad has to bring mustard to every family event now. Family rule

Neither of my parents forgot to fill our stockings, but one time my dad forgot for three days in a row to put money under my brother's pillow from the tooth fairy. On the third morning my brother was sitting on our staircase disappointed so my dad walks behind him and throws a dollar on the ground and said, "Look! The tooth fairy came! You must have scared her and she dropped a dollar flying away!". My brother bought it (no pun intended).

We live in Germany and 3 years ago my family made a 5-day-trip to Prague, Czech Republic. The first day was wonderful, we made a long expensive sightseeing tour and spend our complete cash for that. But no problem, my boyfriend had enough money on his bank account. On the next day we went to different ATMs and he coudnt get money because he forgot to unlock his bank card for foreign countries. We had 4 hard days only with breakfast for eating, who was includet at the hotel. We coudnt do anything what you normaly do in you holidays. I was so angry !!!

The FRTbagels joke was funny once ONLY

When actually involved me arriving home for the holidays from the Army. Because I wasn't able to get to the travel agency on base, first I had to wait for about 2 hours before I could get to my boarding gate (after about a 6 hour drive on highways that crisscrossed the middle of nowhere to the Dallas Ft. Worth Airport). Then I had to wait for 3 hours (almost noon) before I could get from there to Dulles in DC. Then I almost had to go full sprint to get to my next boarding gate to land in Philadelphia around 11 pm. My parents decided the almost the whole family should pick me up, so everyone was just short of asleep when picking me up from the airport to drive about an hour home. To top it all off, it looked like they had forgotten that I was staying at home with them for the holidays instead of at a hotel (we initially argued over whether I'd just get a cheap hotel room close by, they didn't want me to spend more money), so the majority of the boxes of ornaments were surrounding my bed.
