@5:50 my heart just grew when dad gave you money and said go buy ice cream. I lost my step dad last year but whenever I went home to visit he would sneek a $20 to my husband and say take my daughter and grand babies to get ice cream. He would also wake up extra early,steal my husband's car and fill it up with gas. I am 35 years old and when your dad gives you money it's an insult to refuse taking it no matter your age.
I have always heard of him and did not subscribe because i knew I would become addicted. Knew I would have to got back and watch from the beginning. I finally dove in. Pretty much because Casey is Real. Of Course he edits, but tells the story of his life.
Even without the audio from owen's college endeavors, I barely noticed any difference in the flow of your vlog. It was still great and I might need to try paddle riding, it looks fun.
It's fun but the conditions have to be perfect for a good ride! Like calm glassy water, which is not common at all, unless you like freshwater or streams

Colleen Burton TL;DR : No, but the ability to skip lowers the cost of the ad and therefore revenue made from it. No not if you skip them. This is the way it works: Company pays for x amount of views on their ad (typically 1 "unit" is 1000 views) and pay the price according to what kind of ad it is (whether it be a pre-roll video (based on time, ability to skip, how long you need to wait before you can skip), or the ones on the side of the webpage, or the bars during the video). RU-vid takes their cut from the payment for the ads on a video (I think it's like 45%) and then they send the rest off to the RU-vidr. The RU-vidr also gets money when someone clicks on the ads displayed with their video (no idea if companies pay for the clicks as well, my guess would be no and that RU-vid is just thanking the RU-vidr for the increased chance of that company buying more ads).
It's basically the only way to grow on RU-vid because people do not click a video out of their norm. Without click baiting you get no views when you start. People have no reason to click your video.
I have to agree it's pretty annoying, like in a recent one the title was "racing NYPD" or something similar but he only rode beside a cruiser for a moment

I love how Casey uses the flashback storytellin to start and end the vlog. And props to having to record extra footage while editing your vlog cos u realised the audio's gone, and then go back to finishing up the vlog!

I remember mowing the lawn used to be my most hated chore. then I didn't have a lawn for a long time of years. Then I had a house built and installed the lawn myself and now mowing is my favorite thing to do.

Ok I love the Stand up paddle boarding - I am a huge fan and more people should get into it. Seriously, there are sooo many types of it (rapids, flat water, surf, down winders, bop, yoga) there is something for everyone. One extreme note of caution - NEVER GO OUT WITHOUT A LEG ROPE!! Leg ropes save lives. You have a leg rope, you fall off, the board can only go a few feet. You don't and you have a good wind or wave action and you will find yourself in the middle of the water with no board and too far away from shore.

HAHAH my grandpa isn't the only one that gives all of his kids (who are all independently successful in their own way) "gas money" and money for ice cream even though they clearly don't need it.. its funny cause back in the day my grandpa never gave my dad money when he actually needed it for gas or for food but now that my dad is grown and doesnt need it he gives it to my dad.... i thought my grandpa was the only one...
