So glad you’re still loving your new car. Thank you for your videos. (It’s been a minute. 😁) I only have a few years left before retirement and I keep thinking about my move to Africa. You and the other RU-vidrs are helping me keep my focus on that dream. I love you all-keep those videos coming!
We are hiking on weekends. There are hiking spots closer to the city that also cater for senior citizens. Check Cradle Moon, 10km. With beautiful scenery with nature. And then you can treat yourself and have a good Brunch there. The food is amazing. There is Melville Koppies as well. In Pretoria there is one close to Centurion. And a new one in Rietvlei with nice restaurant for good company. Hiking and outdoors are amazing
Hi Asha,Just bumped on your video for the first time, this morning. What a lovely person you are!I'm so delighted you've moved to South Africa. You belong here.Welcome back home, our sister.May God always be with you.
Asha's baa-aaack! I love your content; you're so refreshingly transparent. That "winter" weather sounds perfect for me (I'm from Chicago, so....). Love Ashley in Afrika! I need to recalculate and get over there! #thisclosetoretirement .
Greretings Queen Asha, its very nice to hear from you in this episode and yes, it has been a minute or two since we heard from you. I am very glad that you are enjoying your new home in SA. Continue to enjoy and stay warm Queen. Thanks for sharing.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any...try doing a search for a group on Facebook or start one yourself.🤗 Also, check out meetup.com...there are meetup groups for seasoned active adults.😊
Well, it seems to happen every two months or so. We get notified by the news outlets and apps when it's going to take place and for how long...usually 2hrs twice a day for a week has been my experience so far. It's a inconvenient adjustment that we have to deal with until the issue is resolved. Some folks have generators, depending on where they live and a lot of new construction is turning to solar panels.😊
Hello. Do they celebrate Christmas/thanksgiving etc. as they do in America? Now I’m over those holidays, I only indulge because of family but I don’t personally celebrate them anymore for various reasons but I am curious about SA.
South Africans celebrate Christmas and the country has their own national holidays that they celebrate throughout the year. They don't celebrate traditional American/US holidays. I don't but some expats may individually celebrate Thanksgiving, 4th of July ect...💕🌍💕
Glad you are enjoying yourself in Africa sister. South Africans will always embrace African Americans and Europeans. If only they did the same for their brothers and sisters from neighbouring African countries. The reality is not so pretty.
They must come legally. What do you people want us to do watch you people destroy our country. Start by calling out those drug lords & human traffickers first other than that we are no longer going to entertain anyone.
Do you think it’s the SA people…or do you mean it’s the SA Gov’t that wont embrace? Some Zimbabweans (for example) have been allowed to be in SA for 15 years, and are now being forced to leave by the end of the year….SMH. It’s being said that it’s due to them possibly taking jobs from others. Does anyone feel this is true?
AA do not become a burden to this country compared to these people from neighbouring countries. All they do is to take take from us. We should always remember that South Africa is not a rich country guys and Government is that to feel the pinch what has happen over the past years is not sustainable if we do not address it now we will be left with no country. We better do something about it now before it's too late. We just cannot cannot carry the entire continent's problems on our shoulders. We all need to go back to our respective countries and fix our problems. We fought for our liberation so should they. Let them change their countries to become better for the next generation of they don't those generation will also wonder around the world. Come on guys you become a victim unless you do something about your situation & fix things. Even African American being a minority in their own country they are fighting racism why these other African people always want to ride on other people blood and sweat. Let's be honest to ourselves for once. We need to prioritise & put South Africans first. We have so many South Africans living in poverty, we have our own family problems why are people feeling guilty to fight & put their own first.
