Oh man this episode has been the most impactful for me. I’ve heard time and time again that a relationship isn’t about how little you fight, it’s about how you repair when there is rupture. Rupture and repair. That’s what relationships consist of.

We need more couples to publicly acknowledge the lows and tough convos necessary to have a healthy relationship. Thanks again for sharing!
@Mob3vid
I love how you both are accepting accountability. That’s refreshing to see

Such a deep and vulnerable conversation that I respect! My curiosity is - even if JD was on a different time line than Shay, ultimately she did have a choice in each step. How many times do women want to get engaged, pushes for a ring, speed up the wedding process, etc., and the man slows it up, and at times even ends a relationship if the woman doesn’t respect his timeline or want to compromise. My main question would be did Shay feel like she didn’t have a choice and if that was the case, why so? Was it fear that if she didn’t bend, she would lose the relationship altogether? I ask this somewhat rhetorically bc I know for me I look back at certain situations and I realize I relinquished control for pretty major decisions and I still am trying to dig deep and figure out why. Thank you again for the podcast and these meaningful conversations!

I'm almost 30 but have only been in one real relationship my entire life, my current one. I really appreciate you guys sharing more about your feelings, emotions and thoughts. I completely agree that it doesn't matter how long you've been with someone, assuring them you're there to stay can heal so much.

Much respect and admiration to this couple for keeping it real and raw and thought provoking. The fact that you both can sit down and address and communicate about the concerns in a relationship is very mature. Blessings on your relationship as you grow.
