I think the London lad complaining the horses wouldn't stand still, amongst other things, was worse than the man who didn't notice the guard coming up behind him.
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="85">1:25</a> - If you're afraid to touch the horse, then *DON'T* touch it!! 🙄 <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="857">14:17</a> - *AND THEN* he just stands staring at the guard as if to say... What's *YOUR* problem!! 😡
Couldn't agree more. Those Tourists are just bloody ignorants. Like you mentioned, if you hesitate and scared to get bite by the horse then don't bloody hell touch it
Well, considering this is an actual military base, and if there was ever an incident where they needed to take immediate action ,having the horses roped off wouldn't make much sense, would it? And of course, some of the horses, being living beings with feelings and temperaments, occasionally decide they have had enough and attempt to head back to the stables sometimes quite quickly. If it's roped off, then both human and horse troopers would, in fact, be harmed quite badly, don't you think?
@@garnetj69 horses have door behind them to easily get out of, no harm to either horse or rider.also they all need communication devices between police and riders, guards standing.
@user-dq8mu8kj4i I am well aware of the always locked unless changing the horses doors. How exactly would these locked doors be of any help if the horse decides to bolt?
@@garnetj69 door handle would be on inside so guard on horse reaches back if he needs out, also devices for communication with police, etc. Always a solution, but guards & horses are not there to play with, they are on duty!!!
That wouldn't surprise me if it actually was, as we caught one of our dogs standing behind the door moving his head from side to side as he was maneuvering his ears listening to our conversation about him when he'd been naughty.
One thing I have really learned on these videos is a growing number of Tourists are VERY RUDE. They repeatedly walk in front of, push people out of the way, block people there first, etc. to get their picture.
I'm afraid it is and unfortunately considered as Touristic Attraction because of the Horse Guards with their shiny Cuirrassiers along with their horses trained soldiers.
How respectful the teens were who thanked the Guard at 2.26mins - lovely to see well brought up youngsters like that. Most people were very gentle and respectful of the horses (with the obvious exception). I wonder if it's wise though to let people get so close especially with tensions as they are in some of the cities at the moment - someone might want to make a name for themselves.
Isn't it a shame that lots of UK visitors say thank you to the Guardsmen yet most foreign visitors stand in the way after their photographs and ignore the guard and horse.
I can't believe how the tourists insist on pawing at the horsex. It's incredible. No respect vor the Kings horse and guards 😮 And it seems to be getting worse. Time to change the boards I think 👏
Ok my imagination is getting the best of me….. I just witnessed a guard using his hand against a man who would not move out of his way as he, the Guard, approached the horse. Guards can do what they need to do. What if that tourist got annoyed enough to plan an execution of the guardsmen and their horses at some point? The guardsmen don’t have any way to protect themselves other than a sword. A gun goes a long distance. By the time the gun was shot, the sword would be mute. I’m really concerned for the guards and their protection.
@@quidam53 You mustn't worry. Don't underestimate the Redcoats Horse Guards. They're still tougher as they were when they used to rule the World Rule Britannia! Britannia rule the Waves! Britons never never never shall be slaves
It's really strange seeing full beards on British soldiers. For the whole of my life and as far back as WW1 British soldiers had to either be clean shaven or wear a moustache. The last time I saw bearded British soldiers was in photographs from the 1800s. Those Victorian Guardsmen were rocking some massive beardage.
I'm glad you mentioned so decided to google it... The rule change, which applies across the army, was approved by the king earlier this year. Prior to that, facial hair was only allowed for religious, medical or roles specific reasons. ~ Personally, I prefer clean shaven or wearing a moustache.
The guard stamps his foot when approaching the horse, this is to indicate to the horse to stand still! Honestly, I have a horse, when I stamp my foot firmly on the floor, the horse is trained to stop and stand still. A horse is very sensitive to vibrations with its hoof, its a survival instinct as when the heard moves it will know there is approaching danger. Horses are a lot smarter than people credit them; they use smell, taste, touch, sounds, vibrations as main sensory inputs.
It is time to keep the rabble at a distance. Just get Madam Tussauds to make a mock-up for the tourists to photograph, before some ejit harms the horse or the trooper.
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="856">14:16</a> GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!! <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="878">14:38</a> YEAH, YOU BETTER WALK AWAY!!! MOVE ALONG!!!!
With all the video evidence of the out of hand tourists, why haven't the Brits done some simple analysis of the problems and put a stop to it? Is their love of the tourist coin worth the risk to the Guards and their horses?
hold on.. it did actually look like he was going to move out the way for the guard when he saw him (and he saw him quite late), but then the guard probably thought he wasn't going to then kind of pushes him.. so he didn't really give much time to move out the way once he realised he was coming.. not really on the guards side here.. felt bad for him he seem genuine
So, so. He looked genuinely surprised. Did he at least say sorry, instead of continuing to stand in the middle of the sidewalk staring like “What was that for?” At least he wasn’t talking back, frowning and looking disgusted with the guard as some I’ve seen.
I think he was taken by surprise and would probably have moved but once the guard pushed him testosterone kicked in and he stood his ground a minute. He seemed very polite to the other tourists who took a photo for him. Some people as very disrespectful but I don't think he really was.
I think they should have a police man or woman stand near the guard at all time to ensure that people behave they can change everytime the Guard changes so they are not standing for too lon
They are proper soldiers, if that Life Guard had taken the first swing at him? Not only would he be facing criminal prosecution, he's under military law as well, therefore he'd of been prosecuted twice & more than likely booted out of the army!
I've not seen this before but the body language of the fellow to the right of this situation seems questionable none the less no perpetrated act is just if IL intent fallows just my opinion
Bit exaggerating head line . Guard shoved the guy a little he didn't hit him. If you hit it with a open hand or fist or with an object that hitting . There is a difference !!! Quit false head lines !!!
Yo Jordan, your in the wrong place .these are guards and their mounts not big foot! Why would a crypto expert be videoing a Lifeguard and horses instead of out looking for creatures of the dark? The only dark creatures here are the tourists! Or do you think the horses are weranimals just kidding . do you have another channel?
Why the Royal did not put chain link with movable bollards??? Why someone can pet and some can't not and be humiliated? Instead RU-vid influencers like you and some others got into the profiling and hypercritical in order to get clicks. BE MORE EDUCATIONAL!
Putting a fence up would be detrimental to the horse. They need to be able to move, otherwise they will panic. Educate yourself before making such stupid comments
