It's hard to get past knowing he died this year in August. Finally beat his demons and was happy and sober~~~at least he left us a plethora of music absolutely unique to him RIP Stevie ❤️
In the book Texas Flood his sister in law said that the last night he played there was a rainbow like aura around him she said how weird she when to the other side of the stage to see if it was how the lights were and it was the same . Then she went to the audience and saw it she thought Damn what is going on, she said he played better than she probably ever heard him play that night. It was like he was plugged into something. He was just so own I had never seen anything like that . And Chris Layton said people had said they saw a huge halo around him when he playing that night that he was surrounded with an orange blue aura like it was some kind of premonition. Every one of the artist that was there that night said he played better that night than he had ever played before .
@@xenoscoot ok it has been a while looks like I am going to have to read the book again . I don’t know why but that story about him on stage that last night just stuck in my head . Thanks for the information.
GEEZZZ.. THAT MAN WAS GREATEST AT ITS FINEST.. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THAT MAN AND HIS MUSIC TILL THE DAY I SEE HIM IN HEAVEN THEN I GET TO WATCH HIM IN PERSON!! THANKS !!!
This was him at his absolute prime - 4 years sober - and just to make it even any kind of challenge he is playing a 12-string which is so much harder to resonate your tone and hit every note cleanly but - nope - no problem. He is as always the best there ever has been.
It's because SRV played really hard, Whenever he used light strings they would snap, and his fingers are pretty thick and wide so he can easily bar both strings on a 12 strings as if he was just playing a 6 string, He also plucks fairly hard so that's why it always sounds so clean as he is perfectly hitting every note at twice the pressure needed for extra tone
Thanks for taking my suggestion‼️. I knew you would love Stevie on a 12 string playing flawlessly. You can hear everything on an acoustic there is no hiding but no worries with Stevie. I loved your comment about he and his guitar are like magnatized❣️ once he picks it up they are locked in for sure. Brillant✌️ I have really enjoyed your travel down the SRV rabbit hole. You are a true fan for sure💯 I think you would really enjoy another suggestion of something different from Stevie. He and his brother Jimmie play together on a double neck guitar. It is labeled Pipeline. Thanks for this tonight✌️💙‼️
That acoustic performance is off the charts. How would you like to have to follow that? He died in a helicopter accident at Alpine Valley, WI. I saw him the night before he died. Awesome.
Stevie died this year in a helicopter crash August 1990! You’re witnessing the greatest guitarist to have ever lived past and present, God took him from us too soon! RIP SRV
Brother, thank you for sharing and showing your appreciation for his craft. I saw him several times in Austin at Steamboat Springs and Bison at Rockafellas. This brought back quite a few memories. Thank you!
really enjoy your videos and love the songs in your reactions, keep it up! and you should really listen to the white stripes, they are heavily influenced by the old blues and bands like led zeppelin, id suggest there live performance of death letter, its a cover of son houses death letter blues and it sounds amazing and i think you would enjoy it :)
