Yes, but I think at first it was a slip of the tongue. Danny said "your mommy and daddy" meaning Val and Gary, when Bobby corrected him and said mommy and Uncle Gary, Danny could have said, "oh right" or something.
TheJaking87 I was thinking the exact same thing, I never understood why Val was punishing Gary. That's how I looked at it. I thought it was pretty unfair, I think fathers should have rights too.
@@jenniferwellman5311 Ben Gibson was a jerk that’s why. That’s why I loved when Ben left the show, as he not only kept Val from reconciling with Gary, but the kids learning the truth about their heritage.
It was a great storyline that made me love the series forever. Yet it really was hard when it originally aired, week after week, feeling so bad for Val and wanting that great injustice to be resolved. And then it wasn't until after the summer hiatus that the twins were finally returned to her.

Towards the end of Jock’s life he and Gary warmed towards each other. Jock finally realized Gary was more like his mother. Miss Ellie and Bobby were Closest to Gary

I really wanna the twins to come to TNT Dallas especially Bobby. When I saw the revamp of Dallas. I was thinking that Bobby would be good asset on helping out with his uncle Bobby and competing at his cousin John Ross also falling in love with Rebecca aKA Pamela Barnes Cliff Barnes daughter . Bobby & Pamela all over again. But it just predictions.
WOW, true Knotts fans think alike. I was just watching this scene with Garry and his son Bobby and remembering when the twins were born that they named Bobby in honor of Gary's brother on Dallas when he died. Then I'm thinking about how the Dallas producers resurrected Bobby and how odd it seemed to be named after an uncle that came back from the dead. Then I ran across your post and you eco'd my thoughts. I really missed this show. :-)
Bobby remained dead in Knots Landing, he never returned. However I'm surprised Lucy never went to visit her brother and sister. Unlike Ray Krebbs or Pam and Cliff, or James Beaumont. Lucy had a full brother and sister. Gary and Valene were parents to all 3.
@@alslevie1986 but knots landing characters was still mentioned after Bobby was resurrected through Pam's dream if the story never taken place still it was just a dream in Dallas and knot's landing.
Ben Gibson was the one who made Gary an uncle as he was a jerk to keep the identity of Bobby’s real father a secret. Karen and Mack even backed up Ben keeping the truth from everyone especially Gary.

They sure do. The Val's twins storyline went on too long. Had I seen this storyline when it first aired and had to watch every week to see if Val was going to get the babies back, I would have had a fit! LOL.
I love the contrast in this scene. You have a cute little kid who is innocent and then you have a frustrated adult that hates kids and tells him some news like the kid is an adult. LOL. "He's not your uncle Bobby". LOL.

I didn’t like the way the Val chose not to include Gary in the twins life. In the beginning. I understand he was a drunk ( but that’s just it, he wasn’t drunk any more ) The “Uncle Gary” crap got annoying after awhile. The writers really went too long, on letting Gary in on it ( He knew they were his )He respected Val too much, to let the Twins in on the BIG secret.
