The thing is about the prices is 20 dollars can’t even get u anything nowadays but dudes still want to pay that for a haircut. Depending on where you live it’s gonna be more or less based off the economy there. Barbering is really hard especially to be really really good at it. And that skill is worth money. People always have the option to go elsewhere or cut it themselves. 300 bucks for a house call is actually pretty normal but for a shop cut is obviously way to high. For a shop cut I wouldn’t mind spending 50-60 bucks to get myself right. When it’s gonna last me 2 weeks, people will spend hundreds on a meal that last 30 mins. Just different priorities for different people. Some people value self care at a higher cost than others.

The regular going rate for a decent haircut it 30 bucks here minimum. Even Supercuts and great clips is like 20 something. And if u want a barber who actually knows what he’s doing it’s like 40-50 dollars. That’s the world we living in now.

I think it’s worth more tbh cuz most services cost more than that and there’s things that take less skill and don’t even last as long and cost more than that. Shit my girl gets her nails done and it’s 100 bucks. It’s all about what people wanna pay for something . If u wanna pay 20 there’s a barber out there for that if u wanna pay 40-50 there’s a barber for that too. Some ppl won’t even go to a barber unless it’s expensive cuz they’ll think he’s trash. Any major big cities like l.a , ny or Miami is double the price of everywhere else pretty much for everything. I said this before, don’t like the prices go to barber school or sponsor someone to go and not have them charge you or cut your own hair. People don’t put in hours to give discounts.

Well think about it. They went to school to school to learn. They use products on your hair that's not free nor cheap, and they charge you depending how many hrs they are using to do your hair. And can $20 really get you through in this economy?
