You're one of my favorite RU-vidrs. I love the fact that you genuinely are sad and hurt by what the victims go through. It speaks to your empathy and humanity. Never apologize for that. I know you've apologized in the past, but you have no reason to. It just shows what a good person you are and how much you care.
I start bawling in empathy at the drop of a hat. I still apologize too. I agree though, there is absolutely no reason to apologize. So many people don't understand why one would "cry about nothing" so you feel like you have to explain yourself.
I'm sorry but murder is murder. No matter what he (the murderer) has been through the poor girl did NOT deserve for her life to be taken away like that. Her poor parents. Unimaginable.
I follow a few people doing true crime for years, I must say you are my new favorite. Others talk as if they're a fast speaking reporter, tushing to get the story out, or make jokes, but you're so compassionate when telling the victims stories and it speaks alot of who you are. I hope your page blows up because you speak to us in a normal fashion with passion for what you do and I'm here for that. You do great coverage on these. I look forward each week to your new videos.
@@misshana2009 I see I am dealing with an ignorant morally void individual that most likely barely understands the difference between a monkey and a rock. Probably best if you stoped making a total mockery of history and yourself in the process. You might , however, mesh in with the Islamist and their genocidal primitive ideology. Good luck with that .
I love that you dove into Cody’s history. This story is a perfect illustration of how poverty and a lack of societal support will always lead to violence. You are correct, there is enough money to protect the innocent, and I believe Cody is where he should be for what he did, but there is also enough money to support the impoverished with their physical and mental health, personal safety, education, and basic human needs as well. I feel this young woman would still be alive today if society took a greater interest in supporting the members who have the least and need the most.
Okay wrong, poverty and a lack of societal support does not ALWAYS lead to violence. I come from poverty and had no societal support and yet here I am living a peaceful life, maybe rephrase this.
@@viableblanket it's the cop out of all cop outs isn't it. Bad choices did this not a bad childhood. Pathetic to make excuses. I also grew up this way and also choose peace.
@@caseyminett7394 I completely agree with this. I do agree that some environmental factors do have an impact but it's a mixture of things and definitely ultimately the choices of the individual. It just makes me really angry when stuff like this is said like I know so many people who grew up the same way I did, some people even worse and never in a million years would this cross my mind or theirs. Not saying I've never done anything wrong in my life because I have but assault? Murder? Nah
@@viableblanketMaybe some empathy is in order…I was also raised in poverty, but we are not all the same! You don’t know what Cody was exposed to as a child. You’re assuming a lot by comparing your life to his. Your type of attitude prevents society from helping children and families in need because it’s an “if I made it, anyone can” attitude and it’s not realistic. People are very complex and the smallest nuances can make or break people. Do better!
Everything you post i HAVE to watch at least a few times. I find your voice so soothing that i listen at night to fall asleep and then have to rewatch to see what i missed. Just love your channel
Love your videos!!! You are amazing! Would love to see you grow with millions of Subs!!! You deserve it! You are always posting & giving us content to watch! Thank you 🙏 😊
All my sympathy is for his victim and her family. Him having an effed up past is not gonna have going me go "aw poor guy" when details in this case showed even possible premeditation and stalking of his victim. Count me out feeling sorry for him and him being happy in prison after the atrocities he committed against an innocent girl is like a slap in the face. I draw the line with this. I do like your show of empathy in some cases but this is no from me. He's disgusting.
I don’t think that’s what Zara said, but if we are going to prevent these tragic events we better do better as a society to help kids before they turn into monsters. The sympathy is for Cody the child not Cody the adult!
You can tell you’re a genuine person. I like and appreciate the way that you show empathy and respect for the victims and the families. Theres even TC channels here on RU-vid whose content creators make jokes or forget that these are real people with families that are out there grieving the loss of their love ones. There’s even one content creator who even fake cry while telling these horrific tragedies. One thing is to genuinely feel heartbroken over the pain everyone suffered or suffering but when a creator has to fake their emotions is blatantly obvious. Again, I want to thank you for your compassion and respect you show on your channel. 🩷
Love your videos. You are an awesome storyteller. Great details and no script. Cody had a horrible life but still knows right from wrong. He's an evil man. I hope they were correct and she was never awake or alert after the first blow and didn't have to endure that torture.
Can you do a video on the bayou serial killer (Ronald Dominique)... I haven't seen a story on him yet and he murdered more than 23 boys and men in my home state of Louisiana
I remember this case as it was happening. It hits close to home as a muslim, first generation immigrant , and escaping from a genocidal war zone, as well as being local to that area. I was merely a fresh year 12 at the time going around to Deakin university campuses in Bundoora and waterfront as well as Latrobe open days trying to find a uni as well as visiting friends. The very tram she took is the tram that connects a lot of these places and many of us uni students use this tram every single day, over a thousand people daily. I remember as this case was happening the anxiety all uni students, muslims, and parents of muslim uni students and young girls felt. For context, in Melbourne, trams are EVERYWHERE, and is used much more as opposed to driving or taking Ubers. Trams are a massive part of work, social and educational/uni life in Melbourne and is how most of us get around. we usually felt safer taking trams as opposed to the buses or trains due tram stops being in usually very public and visual areas as well as trams being quite small. After taking trains and trams to uni everyday, this case is the one that ultimately made me decide to do uni online from home for my own safety and peace of mind. The most heartbreaking part was seeing Aya's dad on the news stating that he forgave her murderer despite everything he did and I just broke down. The compassion and strength in this man is a testimony to his trauma and character as well as as a muslim in which we are taught to forgive the way we would want God to forgive us, even if a person were to kill our own brother. Although we have the option for eye for an eye, the stronger of us opt to forgive as the is the harder option but is the first step to healing. The Palestinian people are amongst the strongest people I know despite the genocide from the Israeli military as well as the citizens of occupied Palestine attacking, torturing and killing Palestinians, their resistance is unwavering. Please Zara, use your platform to bring notice about the Palestinian genocide as we are usually censored on other platforms. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
You want to spread your propaganda through this channel? Why would you ask this smart woman to spew lies and hatred? Do you want her to sound as ignorant as you? Do you want her to support genocidal Islamic terrorist Hamas the same way you do? By continuing to spread this you are responsible for the generational misinformation and economic disparity of Gazans. Hamas has been profiting from the misery of people for years and not give a damn about the citizens. They did not even provide water and electricity. Instead the took billions of dollars and put it in their pockets. If Israel did not provide free water and electricity for the past 15 years half of the population would perish. Now the only ones responsible is Hamas and only Hamas. They could have ended all this by returning the 240 hostages. Small children and elderly. Did they care No. why because they wanted more money. They purposely build rockets in schools and hospitals. Residential buildings housed their offices. They wanted as many casualties as possible. When they took over Gaza decades ego they burned everything that Israel left for the ppl. Farms, green houses, beach resort, apartments, factories. Killed all the animals that were left for dairy export, green houses full of flowers ready for export. Fruits and factories to package, ready for export. Beach resorts waiting for tourists. It was supposed to be a paradise for people to have profitable business and be self sufficient. But Hamas had different plans, they destroyed everything and people ended up living in poverty. In the meantime Billions and billions of dollars went to Hamas. So by being their messenger you are only helping them, not the ppl. The people want to have a good job a home and family. Love and life, Hamas wants martyrs and death and unfortunately that’s all that they offered thus far.
He's a waste of funds and space so he can feel good and comfy after the atrocity he committed against an innocent. He shouldn't be "happy" in this situation. Gross.
@@yairehy I know I don’t agree with it but when someone is homeless and have no family they see prison as their only way to live. I’ve studied criminology so I know how these types of people think i
When you said that he was glad to be in prison, I just couldn't help but feel like this was the motive? He hated his life and couldn't achieve anything, as he said himself, so what if he thought in prison he would have it better? He may have done this to get to prison, and from there get the help he might need. He would get a sense of direction that he needed in his life. He said later he hopes to take up programs by being on his best behaviour, really is sad because to me that's like a form of remorse. He really wants to be better and achieve something, he doesn't want to be a bum or a criminal, which make this a very tragic case. What if this is an indication for government to improve their system to help people/children in need of proper care, or helping people get the mental health care they need. Overall, it just seems to me that this crime he committed was his desperate attempt to get the help he needs and wanted; and this poor woman was the victim. I also feel like the brutality he used on her represents his desperation, like he was determined to make this crime so horrible as to guarantee himself prison. Honestly, I have seen Australia's prisons listed in some of the best places on Earth!! Aiia was in the wrong place at the wrong time, to be targeted by Cody, and I agree with the investigators, he didn't hand pick her nor was he stalking her, he was just looking for an International student to target. This too, might have motive. Here's what I think, he had a grudge against International students, perhaps because he was a citizen and wasn't getting any help, and so maybe he felt hatred towards non-Australians that come here for opportunity and achieve things. I'm not sure if I am making the point, but I hope you get what I am trying to say.
I had the same thought myself. Even down to the hatred towards international students.. could be on to something maybe.. you never know.. and he's not talking lol he may not even realise his ulterior motivation..
I don't think I've ever been walking on the street at midnight or later than that. It's just too risky. As a woman or man you're vulnerable because there's darkness and also less people around, and mostly dodgy ones. It's always better to drive or get a taxi. I know many people do walk around at all hours and should be able to. There is no justification for someone to hurt and kill another human being regardless especially the horrific way that he killed Aiia. What a tragic story. Hearing the mother's words was heartbreaking.
Wow Zara this story has really hit home to me, I’ve been struggling with people following me & the police aren’t taken it serious because they didn’t make my 2 police reports have made… I hired a private investigator & he asked for the cops license plate number that lives by us because he so petty towards us… So they been following stalking me & harassing me so tried to get ahold of the chief commander here in New Mexico n no luck. So emailed our governor & she made a claim to stop but she need more info from me n his name but I just recently found out the officer name… They kind of simmmered down a little bit are still doing it… None of us should fear doing daily activities out in the world but when someone is following n no one listens is hard…
As we think of Aiia and learn about her story, let us remember the 25,000+ Palestinians who have also lost their lives. Justice the seed, Peace the flower #FREEPALESTINE 🇵🇸
How about you blame the Islamic terrorists Hamas. Secondly stop advocating for the murder and genocide of the Jewish race and distraction of Israel. Thirdly she was an Israeli citizen.
Hamas is 100% responsible for any loss of life on both sides. Stop supporting Islamic terrorists and their genocidal agenda. That does not say much about your moral compass.
You need a history lesson and a morality check. You can hold yourself responsible for any bloodshed same as Islamic terrorists Hamas. Not sure if you are a genocidal racist or just ignorant.
Can you please cover Israel Keyes he’s a serial killer on a level of his own and also can you cover the Faith Hedgepeth case it’s still unsolved and will make your blood boil
Been following you since Day 1 and even though I don't usually comment - it's sad to see you call the country "Israel" with all that's especially happening right now. It's Palestine, has always been and will always be!! Peace
Good morning Zara as always I love and adore you ❤. Your personality is everything and I love watching and listening to you 😍❤️🌟🌼🌹🌻🤗🌺🥰🦋. Your delivering these cases phenomenally ❤️. Guys please click the like button because Zara is incredibly amazing and you won't be disappointed 😊. I've never heard of this case and can't wait to hear it from you then I'll comment after ❤. Wow your eye makeup looks amazing. I wish I could do my makeup like that but being 53 I don't think I could pull it off. Fly high with the angels 😇 sweet girl. I'm sending so many prayers 🙏 to all her loved ones ❤. I wish I had a clear motive but I got nothing except it may have been a thrill kill. I know he was stalking her and when he felt the timing was right he took that chance. And he definitely belongs in prison. When you said we all have a backstory and your 💯% correct. Again imo we need more mental health issues addressed and hopefully we may not see so many cases like this but on the flip side of things they could just as easily stop taking their medications. I dk I'm all over the place here but I think you'll get the gist of what I'm saying
May I ask dangerous how? Just out of curiosity. I live here and it is relatively safe. Obviously every where has its dangers but here we do have lower crime rates
Idk but the danger I hear about in Australia is usually something about the flora or fauna and not the people. I have no idea how dangerous it is as far as crime. Though it’s probably not as dangerous as many parts of the US lmao
it’s effed up that cops do nothing until SOMETHING is HAPPENING to you & then clearly it’s too late bc you have to be hurt emotionally /physically and mentally scarred for the rest of your life while you were minding your business living life when some POS with their own head issues decided to take it out on you.
@@me2bla do you have google on your phone, pc or something ?I’m pretty sure you do, giving the fact that you are watching RU-vid. It's sad case both ways..my heart goes out to Aiia but also to Cody...his life was so abusive..I hope he reforms his life fir the better..At least he wrote to Asia's family appologing...a young ladys life was taken away so early...sad really sad
Aw welcome! So at the start of the video I said she was born in Palestine but her mother and sister lived in Israel. Her father and other sister lived in China. Hope that clears it up 😘
ok can y’all be nice, like seriously. she is going through something very difficult and y’all are not making it worse. stop projecting your own insecurities onto her, she has enough going on.
Constructive criticism: when you show a victim in a group photo: circle them or put an arrow: some sort of emphasis. You mentioned her t shirt after the pic left the screen and that made me have to rewind to find her in the photo
It would have had to be in their reach which to me shows bsd parenting. I know 6 month olds put things in their mouths but who leaves alcohol near a 6 month old?
@@naemadiriye7809 can’t get any more immoral and uneducated as you. A total waste of oxygen juts like the rest of primitive genocidal Islamic terrorists Hamas.
Hello :) Three is this case about polish woman who Make bolidami in Egipt and never come back, her name is Magdalena Zuk. I think will be interesting case to show for all your ladies,
Fair chance of rehabilitation?! Is this real life? We need to seriously be able to disbar judges sometimes. They’d give death or worse if it was their kin. I know that’s not what happened, but the judge seriously said that. His own lawyer said he’d be better in jail for Christ sake.
13:42 : I have to disagree with you. it’s possible he was drugged and Im not sure if they have these in Australia however, in America we have 50ml bottles that people take shots from. A baby can easily fumble with one of those and bring it to their mouth 💔💔💔
Sorry for the confusion 🙏 So at the start of the video I said she was born in Palestine but her mother and sister lived in Israel. Her father and other sister lived in China. Hope that clears it up 😘
@@me2bla watch the video if you don’t know but born in “Israel” to Palestinian parents therefore a Palestinian born in Palestine. We don’t see recognise illegal occupation here, thanks.
Oh I’m the first Girl hey! 🥰Hi how’s the family ❤ I am loving that you’re bringing cases and victims that we do not know so these cases can get justice! This sweet woman was beyond impressive and smart, beautiful it still gets me in the tummy that someone has the audacity to do this to another human. International travel shouldn’t be more dangerous for women but it is not just to Australia that’s everywhere…that’s a sad truth for 2024 A six month old can’t lift glass so whomever gave a baby alcohol doesn’t deserve TO HAVE CHILDREN! Not all killers are monsters they’re just sick and given a rough hand but being indigenous you should have the same rights we see this problem in America and Canada but they’re usually the victims

To clear it up - at the start of the video I said she was born in Palestine but her mother and sister lived in Israel, so that's why I refer to Israel. Her father and other sister lived in China. Hope that clears it up 😘
no i understand what you meant , but the land its called palestine.. is always was but then people stole there land and called it israel. that was my point. the country is palestine and not israel. when they stole it like 73 years ago israel never existed before, that was my point. btw i still love your video's! @@ZaraV
