Yeah, it is art. It has sensors which monitor the traffic and when there is a lot of it, it starts smoking (I think the idea was that when there are a lot of people, he gets excited, but I'm not really sure). He also has a name: he is called Mannes and the idea is that when you return home (to Assen) there will always be someone waiting for you.

Yes. Often. It's just a few km away from my home and I ride my bike at least a short distance into Friesland almost every week.

We went from one tunnel to three. In 2014 there was one pedestrian/cycle tunnel under the railway lines. That tunnel was modified to include the new expanded cycle parking. I meant the car tunnel 0:51. Not a fan of more car infra, thus 'meh' :P

@@C0deH0wler I'm not a fan of more infra for cars either, and yes there is a new tunnel here for cars. It's an improvement for everyone over the old situation. It's not the case. This is a definite improvement.
