If taking HRT can prevent a heart attack, what happens when you stop taking HRT? Do you think that protection from a heart attack lasts? Or do you think it disappears? With all the inadequate mantras that doctors use to care for menopausal women, you need to think about this. More than that, you need to watch this video and get the answer.

The Dr I go to had a patient that had breast cancer (it was being treated) and she said there was no way she was going to give up her HRT during this time. From what I have learned about HRT and the good things it does for your body I plan on using it forever! I hope I won’t have to find a new Dr because mine would retire but I am in for that fight if it should happen. Thanks for all the great information you share as it just re in forces wha I have learned. Thanks 🙏

You are so welcome, Sue. And the whole point of this education is that women are very different in terms of their priorities. I have encountered many women who feel the benefits of HRT greatly outweigh any possible risks. And I have encountered many others who feel that the benefits aren't worth any possible risks. That's why I just teach you the facts and let you decide for yourself what's best FOR YOU.

Happy holidays! As always thank you for this education it is so valuable. I am going to schedule a consultation soon as soon as I can. I am super terrified of stopping HRT and I am still taking it but the bleeding has returned not as bad as before but most doctors are worried about bleeding. I am more worried about stopping HRT. I take the patch off when taking a shower. They claim you can leave it on but it goes dead so I take it off. I have to dry off before putting it back on. I get sick when I don't have it on. But I will save all of that for the consult. Thank you for this education! This video is powerful! Every GYN should watch it!

@ the one and only pinky pinky How are you doing with your hrt you mentioned that you were bleeding the same this is happening to me after only 5 months of treatment. I am so disappointed. I wear a patch too and it does come off in the shower so I take off too and dry up and I cleanse the area with alcohol and let it dry and I put the same one back on. But you say it goes dead in the shower what do mean by that? Do you mean it might not be transmitting the estrogen into the skin May that is the reason why we bleed. I am so scare of this bleeding that I am ready to quit the treatment. I too want to consult with Dr. Taylor.

I hope there is some way for you to get this message out to doctors. They are the ones we go to to get treatment. I have not encountered one that had any idea that estrogen was necessary for more than a few years, or that we should take it for things like our hearts or bones, for prevention. They only care about hot flashes. That was all the way up to a menopause specialist. Its not us women that have these false ideas, its the doctors we go to for help.

So what IS the right dose of estrogen when taking hrt to prevent heart attack ? How do you know if you are taking enough? Blood test results? How many milligrams etc ? Thanks ! Wonderful video as always !!!
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor 4 года назад
There are very specific dosages for each different kind of estrogen. If you keep watching these videos in order, you will get to the video the addresses precisely that at just the right time in your education. You are very close, but if you jump around all willy-nilly in the order these videos, you will never get the information you need. If you’d like a more efficient delivery of this menopause education, you should (1) Get my book, or (2) Watch the webinars, or (3) Watch the DVD entitled Your Menopause Your Way. They all give you the complete education without the fluff of the videos. My goal is to meet the needs of all women, regardless of their learning style, and regardless of their command of the English language. Many of my viewers speak English as a second, third, or fourth language. You may not care about them, but I do. I am the only person providing a complete and unbiased education on menopause. So, I’m trying to serve the needs of all women. I’m sorry I haven’t serve yours well. But I think one of the other options listed above will. The very best way to get everything you need pronto is to schedule a consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME.

Fascinating information. I need to watch 85 and 177. My obgyn originally said lowest dosage, shortest amount of time due to the risk of developing blood clots. No history in my family, but I am over weight. A few years later, because I am on a lower than prescribed dosage, she said I could stay on it for life. Now I wonder if the risk of heart attack outweighs the risk of blood clots. Must do more research...
@MenopauseTaylor

Marie, PLEASE, please, schedule a consultation with me. I will give you all the facts and help you tailor them specifically to YOU so that you can weigh your benefits and risks. There's no way for you to do that by "researching" because the studies vary so much. Your doctor's approach is something I'll address in a consultation, too.

Hello Marie, I'm so glad you commented on the risk of blood clots when taking HRT... I have been really struggling with perimenopause for about 2 years now. My symptoms are so severe that my quality of life has been affected pretty significantly. Anxiety, depression, panic attacks and insomnia amongst other symptoms are my worst symptoms. I went to many doctors and they all prescribed antidepressants but they only made everything worst. I would always explain to the doctors that I am not depressed nor did I have a generalized anxiety disorder. Before perimenopause I was a completely different person. Always happy, active and hard working. Since perimenopause started I have not been able to work , the anxiety and depression are so debilitating and I can't even handle the brain fog...I decided to start HRT and within a few weeks I did notice a difference in the anxiety and depression. Panic attacks were almost gone but the insomnia was still there. About 4 months after starting HRT I started having headaches. In the beginning they were on and off and within a few weeks they were happening every day and were getting stronger. Tylenol and ibuprofen weren't really doing anything for me anymore. I went to see my doctor about the headaches and she sent me to the ER where I had 3 different CT scans where they found I have a blood clot in a blood vessel in my brain. Luckily they found the clot in time before it was big enough to block blood flow. I had to stop HRT right away and am now on blood thinners. My headaches are now under control but with God's grace this blood clot will be gone soon. The doctors told me that HRT may have been the cause for the blood clot. I understand that that was a risk I had to take but now I regret not really doing my own research. I'm now going to continue my menopause journey as natural as possible and continue my faith in my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Good luck to you in what ever you decide.

would like your thoughts on Serrapeptase
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor 4 года назад
Serrapeptase (or Serratiopeptidase) is a chemical that silkworms produce to dissolve its cocoon. Most of its uses have to do with relief of inflammation. It works by decreasing both inflammation and mucous production. As with many supplements, this product is marketed for so many different purposes, that it’s “too good to be true.” And there is no research to support any of the claims. Side effects include interference with blood clotting and interaction with other substances that decrease blood clotting.

Dr Taylor, u said risk increases 2 -3 times in the very first year the hrt is stopped. Is this risk same or comparable to the women who have never had hrt. I don't know whether I ve framed my question properly.
@MenopauseTaylor

The risk is much lower for women who take HRT. When they stop taking HRT, their risk increases. For women who never take HRT, the risk is already higher.

My gynecologist told me that once women are age 65 and on Medicare, insurance will no longer cover HRT. Dr. Taylor, what should we do to petition for a change in that policy? HRT protects or reduces the likelihood women will develop dementia, osteoporosis, or have a heart attack.

Where did you hear that? Please have a consultation with me. You have illogical information. Loss of estrogen at menopause constitutes a hormone deficiency. For every other hormone on earth, you take hormone replacement for the rest of your life. How long would you take insulin if you were an insulin-dependent diabetic? How long would you take thyroid hormone if you had hypothyroidism? Why in the word would estrogen replacement be any different (from a logical perspective)?

Dear Dr Taylor, whilst you are doing amazing job educating women, you are misleading your audience on the role of progesterone, as your knowledge seems to be based on the 80s research (as is your approach to nutrition). Perhaps a few words on the density of progesterone receptors in the brain, impact on libido, cell differentiation and bone growth would be valuable to your readers. Pubmed is free. Sorry but I had to send your book back, it is so outdated.

Well, maybe you should teach women about menopause then. As much as you think this is a matter of my not being update on information, it isn't.
