That was very helpful and I immediately tried the “slid” and normalize the process. After that as she mentioned I tried to show her how the doll go to potty and she was so excited and not all scared

My son is 4 and just won’t poop on the toilet. I have a regular and a toddler toilet that I bring to the living room. But I’ve noticed that he doesn’t have regular bowel movement so I started giving him prune juice and changing his diet. It’s just so frustrating and I want to give up because I’m also in school and stressed already and potty training a strong willed child is so irritating. I keep hearing the same thing “all children are different” “ they will get it in time” well I’m tired of cleaning up messes and buying new underwear. He’s already mastered peeing, why is pooping so hard 🤦🏾‍♀️ sorry for the vent, I will try working on changing the consistency of his BMs and get some books and see what happens

My 7 year old have been diagnosed with adhd..At the age of two my mom had her fully potty trained and when I tell you she has never had accident at home or school not even once its kind of unbelievable..as an infant she hated poop and pee on her.I can imagine how hard it is to deal with🙏

Mine has all three when it comes to poop 😬. I’m relieved that I’ve already been on the right path in dealing with this, but I need to keep working on not being overbearing. That’s my biggest issue.

Thank god for this video my son will not poop in the potty!!! I don’t understand why he has it done before, but now won’t! He has pooped in his underwear so much too which leads me to have to throw some away :( or I felt he was holding it in!

I ordered and read ur book, did 2 days pretty good and he went to grandma (mil) for the 3rd day and as she was over for half of the first day, we talked and she said she would follow through and she didn’t. She just did diapers as she didn’t want to stay home with him all day and then he didn’t want to use it again. Plan to try again over thanksgiving as we can’t go out anyway, been reading lots of potty books and prepping since!

My 30-month old has been going through constipation since she was 13 months old and we’ve gone to hell and back over it with high fiber, suppositories, and lactulose, but she’s developed all kinds of behavioral issues around it like crossing her feet standing up when the sensation comes and holding it in for over 48 hours. She takes off her underwear and pees in the potty just fine, but the pooping is a mountain climb. In the minority of cases, where her poop is actually soft and rock-hard, she prefers to do it in a corner in her panties while standing up, rather than squatting or sitting.

@@edlynsanchez-santander9740 Hi. My daughter is almost 40 months old now and, of course, doing much better. Her eating 🍽 habits changed several times since I last posted. She has been eating a greater variety of foods. Her gastrointestinal specialist switched her to miralax 6-7 months ago and that helped as I continued to work around her behavioral issues with using the potty 🚽. This may go against what many potty training specialists advise, but I used chocolate 🍫 and candy 🍭 as rewards for the past 7 months every time she did #2 in the potty. This has helped to reduce her negative feelings and emotions about pooping in the potty since she had developed withholding issues from so many bad and painful pooping experiences. This past month, we’ve had minimal accidents and she does #2 in the potty almost every day. Our next step is to get her to use the toilet 🚽 and start cleaning herself so she can get ready for preschool.

Wow. Congratulations ma'am. I was super worried coz my daughter withhold her poop. Infact, it's her 4th day not pooping. Last week, she poop because of suppository. I was thinking if I'll do the same again. She takes laxative (Movelax) everyday but still doesn't work. She has trauma in pooping anymore and wearing diaper as well. 😔😔

How do I implement when then statements when I’m on a time frame for transition? For example we’re gonna go outside to play but it’s gonna rain soon so we need to go before the rain. I have a young toddler (1) and big toddler (3). It wouldn’t be fair to miss outside play bc the big kid won’t go potty. I find a lot of MY stress comes from time frames so I inadvertently pass that stress on.

Hello.please help.we started stop using diapers two month ago.for pee everything went perfect.but he said I wanna poop in diaper.we did that for him.during last two week we stopped using diaper for poop too.for about one week he was pooping really good but suddenly from last week he doesn't like to even sit for pooping.we recommended him let's do it in ur diaper.but he said I dont like diaper too.its a really disappointing and stressful situation. My little girl will hold her poop, therefore she is constantly constipated! 😫 she will hold her poop so much that she will hold her pee as well, now she is constipated so much that I KNOW she is terrified of going now, and it is a vicious cycle, I don’t know what else to do. She was doing really well with pee, but she refuses to go poo, like even in her pull up. It is exhausting.

What if my child is 5 and was fully potty trained but reverted back to soiling himself? I’ve taken him to his Pediatrician, talked to friends/family, have addressed constipation concerns, have talked to my therapist, I’ve tried rewards/consequences, having him clean his soiled underwear, etc. He has school soon (K) and I don’t want him to be soiling himself when he’s around others for the fear of them judging him. He was potty trained, I don’t understand why he reverted back, and I need help!! The pandemic has put a strain in the availability of child Psychologists. Please help!!!

my son's turning 5 this April, but still he never poop in the toilet bowl or anywhere but only in his diaper, sometimes it took 3-5 days before he's gonna poop but with the use of suppository, it all started when he was younger when we were about to train him to poop in the cr but he found cockroach, that started my calvary.

My son turned 3 in july we have been training for almost 2weeks now and he just wont want to sit and poop in his potty i have to be consistently watching him as soon as i see him hiding i take him to sit in the potty but it seems as if hes scared to let it out ! But of course he would rather just poop in his underwear! We dont do pullups just diaper at night.. he does fine with pee but man poop its a battle! Glad im not the only one dealing with this 😅

My son holds it all day then poops in the bathtub or in his nighttime diaper. Although one day he pooped in his underwear twice in one day cuz he held it on the potty and then went right afterwards 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s frustrating for him and me 😂

My 3 year old refuses to poo but pee in her toilet. She will only poo in her pullups. We have been to the doctors 2 times for her constipation she would even go 3-4 days without bowel movement. Its stressful as a mother but will eventually get there you know, I just dont want her to rely so much on her pullups. I will try the roleplay with her stuffed toys just so she knows its okay to poo in the toilet.

I just got guardianship of my 3 year old niece she was traumatized when her bio dad would force her on the potty she would scream and just try to get away I now got her to a point where she pees on the potty but she won’t poop and I can’t tell if it’s a fear/anxiety thing or if it’s a control thing but she told me she likes to poop in her pull-up I’ve tried giving her space I’ve showed her when I went poop and told her that everyone poops on the potty but she still wont poop on the potty any suggestions

Okay, so I'm sure I freaked my 3 yr old daughter out and it's too late now for her to go poop in the potty. I thought it was playful or it was just rolled out my mouth and say "peww! Stinky girl" then we'd go change her into a new pull-up. Then we'd go dump the poop in the pull up into the potty, oohed and awed at it, then she flushed it and said Bye Bye poop! We did this about 3 times. All of a sudden, I felt she turned this into a game and in her mind "okay, so now I'm going to poop in my pull up, tell mama, dump it into the potty, and tada! All done" soooo... I'm sure I gave her the anxiety she has now about this poopy situation. 😞 what do I do?? She's still 3 yr old. How can I turn this around for her? I cute out the negative remarks like "Pew! That's not good. Oh no, now u have poop in ur pants! " aww man. Stupid me.

My daughter is same. Started a week a go, first two days she was fine. But the last couple of days she holds her poop and she is constipated. She cried all day, very five seconds sits on the potty, nothing comes out. How's your daughter doing?

@@RushnaAyubi she's good now, thanks for asking..her doctor prescribed LACTULOSE "Lilac" for a teaspoonful. I was startled coz it was very effective.As in not less than half an hour she had her hard, long poop..dunno if it's OTC drug or it really needs doctor's prescription. Very effective! Now, she only wear diaper at night.. Instantly after she poop that day she started pooping on her own 😂😂 and did not ask for diaper at daytime..

My son is autistic and he is 10 years old. I've been struggling with him. We haven't bought pull ups in 1 month. And he's only pooped twice in the potty. He keep having accidents or just takes his underwear off and has poop hanging and tells me, come change me mommmy.

My daughter was a pro right off the bat but since she regressed she refuses to poop and has no issue going in her underwear! We used the 2 day method and don't use pull-ups unless sleeping, but daycare will put her in one if she won't cooperate and to avoid changing her clothes every day. She is very strong-willed and it is a battle to get her to even sit on the potty. I want to give her autonomy but I also want to stop scrubbing my carpet. 🤯 I will try these tips.

My son just turned 4. And he doesn't like pooping in the potty. He thinks it's easier to poop his pants. But that causes diaper rashes. And I'm tired of washing poop out of underwear. Now his dad is saying he's mentally ill. Literally called my son retarded to me.

I feel like we are beyond the point of no return. My daughter is 6 next week and still will only poop in a pull-up. If we refuse it becomes a power struggle and only solidifies her need for control. I’d rather have her going than withholding. But we are at our wits end. Have even been working with a therapist for a year with no luck. We try to keep it no pressure and positive reinforcement, but I just don’t know what to do. 😞

Wanted to let you know you are not alone. My kiddo is 5 1/2 yo and see have worked with specialists and therapists to the point that they finally said “it’ll happen when it happens.” He’s been given the encopresis diagnosis and holds it in for days until he can’t anymore. The doctor has him on daily laxatives and he still holds it in until it comes out in his pants. He hides when it happens usually. We’ve been getting closer lately but his stress definitely makes it worse and life has been full of stress lately. Sorry you and your kid have been challenged with this as well.

My daughter will be 4 in a few weeks and I'm having the same struggles. We introduced her to the potty when she was 2, but she wasn't ready and showed no interest. We reintroduced her to the potty when she was 2.5 and she showed little interest and we were inconsistent with her schedule. Last June her dad randomly put her on the potty and she's been going ever since... Almost a year later, STILL no poop on the potty. When she was in diapers/pull ups, she pooped 3x a day. Now she holds it in and poops every 3-4 days. She mainly goes during naps or overnight. She'll start prek in August. What do y'all do when they go to school? Put them in pull ups or underwear?
