Long comment alert 😅: You're saying something extremely important, and I don't think you realize it. A lot of people get confused when you talk about binge eating, etc.... I constantly see people asking you what you consider binge eating, or they'll make comments like "isn't eating a whole bag of salad binging?".... NO It becomes a disorder/addiction when aspects of your life are affected. You losing relationships, losing your job, etc. Your bigger appetite doesn't constitute for a 'binge'. When you're getting physically ill, losing control, and isolating yourself is when it's considered a binge. I wish more people understood. This is why I like watching you. Everyone's appetite is not the same. My binge might look a lot different than yours. 💛 I love that you're taking a different approach to weight loss. Not 1 person is identical!! Emphasis on DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
I really like the fact that you genuinely enjoyed yourself without overly thinking about your weight then you jumped right back in to regulating your weight. This is working for YOU. 🎉
I finished a 16 day water fast 4 days ago. 5' 8" 66 y/o 183.5 to 157.5 . I was 162.5 lbs this morning. Right on target for me. Been feeding those gut buddies and getting into balance again. I have hunger, but just powerig through it. Things going well and am very positive. Much repect!
You have completely changed my thoughts on fasting! Since finding your videos have done a 10 day and 5 day fast which I have lost 18 pounds in 3 weeks! Thank you for the motivation
Bro you have helped me change my whole mindset with fasting, eating, weightloss and life in general. I've tried so many things for weightloss and this is the only thing that has ever worked for me and I love it! I started my fasting journey at my heaviest 162.5 kgs. I started fasting for 5 days with refeeds on Sundays, 2hour walks each day and a bit of weight training. I am now 126.2 kgs after 14 weeks. I still have a long way to go to reach my goal, which is under 100kgs but I feel amazing. So thank you brother from the bottom my heart and I know I am not the only person you have helped. God bless you! Much love 💯🙏❤
I completely agree! I don’t have that much weight to lose so it’s extra hard for me to lose weight. Fasting is the only thing that works compared to months of eating clean, zero sugar and daily workouts. I had better results after one week of rolling fast vs 3 months of traditional diet and exercise.
Progress is looking back and saying what felt like a bad day/week/month was actually still preferable to the status quo from years ago. Thanks for the reminder, Jerome
Your philosophy of "imperfect consistency" resonated a ton. You should dive into this topic more in a future vid perhaps, because I think there's a lot that people can learn and practice from this valuable mindset of imperfect consistency. Thanks for helping and inspiring so many of us on the beauty of fasting and the journey of growth. Eating disorders are a bitch, and I've been a victim of it for years, and like you also lost friends, relationships, opportunities and things that I can't ever get back. But the right actions and attitude can and will change all of that. Thank you my friend, we are all in this together. Sending love and light
You crossed another milestone with showing us your body in shorts only. I was like "He did it"🙂 That alone is an accomplishment and you look great! I so respect the honestly, vulnerability, and authenticity on your channel. You really inspire people, me. Please remember during those negative thoughts you also have us to come to with no judgement so please don't run away no matter what. We are all in this together! Thank you for your channel! Take care!
This is what I needed! I’m over my half way mark of my weight goal. I’m struggling to meet 72 hours because my health is crap and adjusting to these rolling fasts. However, I show up I don’t care if I ate some biscuits on my refeed or some chocolate. Like u said, when I hit that timer I’m pushing to my best every time. People around me are noticing and it feels amazing! I started worried about maintenance then your videos popped up. Well done you for sharing something that is vulnerable to u. So proud of u! Well done doesn’t cut it!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Dude, you said it. You knew you were going to do it. You knew what was going to happen. You knew how to fix it when it did and that's what you are doing. Your fasting muscle isn't the only thing you built up. Your self-discipline is amazing. You have inspired me to embark on the same journey. I can only hope to have the same persistence as you. Thank you for sharing your story.
Jerome, you really are such an inspiration. I started April 2 and have already lost almost 15 lbs. I only started as an experiment to see how it'll work for me and I'm honestly shocked that the weight is falling off so fast. I can't wait to work my way up to a 65 hour fast. I've done a combo of 16:8, 24 hours, and I just ended a 41 hour fast this morning. I only meant to do a 36 hour fast but when the morning came I just wasn't hungry. I really think I can push myself to the 48 mark now. I have a long way to go but I'm excited for the journey.
Thank you so much for filming this! The hardest thing for me is to get back on track and to feel motivated once I have put on weight. I too have an “all-or-nothing” approach and this video helps me a lot by showing me how to refocus to get back on track.
I wasn't even worried. I knew you would lose the weight again. Glad you've conquered the mental side of it. Now that you are balanced on both sides of the fasting game there's no stopping you!! You're able to enjoy yourself and know that if you gain weight its not an intangible to lose it again. Reset button has been activated!! 🎉🎉❤❤
That’s awesome. You must feel great. We can indulge from time to time as long as we weigh in and get back on track. For me, week 9. -0.9 lbs. I broke my fast a day early. 100 hrs, 45 mins fasted. -46.2 lbs all together. Current weight 277 lbs. Back in 2019-2020 when I was fasting doing 1 meal a day, I lost 46.6 lbs. I’m almost there. Started a lot heavier this time tho so have a long way to go, but I’m not in a rush. I’m happy with the 0.9 loss this week. I can’t wait to fit into size medium shirts and 34 waist jeans again.
Great to see this video pop up tonight! The best self care is possible when doing the work of "know thyself." Socrates was onto to something, as are you. 😃 Happy to hear what you shared in this episode, Jerome. You are evolving into a deeper and genuine self awareness.
I water fasted 93 and 96 hours in last the 10 days While walking an hour a day I lost 19 pounds like it was nothing thanks to you, I thought 20 hours was a lot before now it’s nothing lol
Hi J! I am literally starting this now - 6h in, to be precise. CICO never made sense to me, nor worked because of the BED. Thank you for touching on BED and how insidious it can be :( you are doing great! I'm 29yo female, 160cm, 100kg and sick of being obese. Trying this as a final resort before idk lol. Hope it works! Much love from Australia :)
Hi! I am your exact stats height and weight but I’m 39f! I am starting this fasting in the morning would you like to do this together be accountable and update one another? My goal is 170lbs I’ve also had BED my whole life and it’s gotten worse since pandemic I’ve gained 30lbs. I’m determined to lose this weight.
@AmyAURA Hi there. Thanks for replying! I would absolutely love to do that with you, but I just found out I'm pregnant. Probably shouldn't do this diet as a result :( good luck with your journey. I'll comment back when I'm ready/post baby if you want?
Your honesty is so refreshing. Regardless of fasting, people can learn a lot from you by recognising that it is honesty, which is the true liberator here.
Crazy willpower, I couldn’t do it. Going carnivore it the only way I’ve found to not overeat and lose weight. It would be cool to just eat whatever though, and then fast for days, very cool and great progress.
I have to admit I was so worried watching the vacation video, but you came through with flying colors! Congratulations, you have conquered this thing, Jerome! Now we can all see that it can be done, and it can be a long term lifestyle. YES!!! 👏💫💥
Thank you Jerome for keeping it 100! Life happens- you planned for it, enjoyed your friend, then got back on it! This is the truth. So happy to see your progress! Keep shining bright❤
I love your channel but I really recommend you to check out the carnivore diet. You will never feel bloated again. Cravings will also diminish on the carnivore diet
I like that you’re in therapy and working on your relationship with food. Good for you! And good job at taking the steps towards improvement and discipline. A lot of people wouldn’t even try not eating for 24 hours let alone a rolling 60 hours fast
Fasting 48 to 50 hours, then eat, then fast again 48/50 hours, .... no idea what I'm doing!! haha! I'm fighting inflammation in my body that has caused me an autoimmune disorder called Polymyalgia Rheumatica, I'm in pain 24/7 but I KNOW, with God's help and a 0-carb diet and fasting around 4 days a week I will beat this. I just subscribed, not doing exactly what you're doing but I love your attitude, you come across as a very genuine man.
What happens to me is when I have problems I distract myself with food, when I am angry at life I self sabotage myself over eat so I can be upset with myself instead.
Been doing four day fasting and four eating lately, staying with the plan when eating. Not getting on the scale, but the waist band of my jeans is getting a bit looser.
I have a holiday in a month and aren’t happy with my weight atm (around 65kg) and was doing HIIT workouts and gym and lost 6 pounds in under a week but I haven’t been gym in weeks because of bullies putting me down about myself and mental health reason but I want to lose 2 stone before holiday so i’m gonna try make it possible
Today is my second binge since Jan 25,binge was Monday and today Friday 19th. I eat a lot, not an issue to consume copious amounts of junk. Currently set timer and almost 1:31 on start of fast again. Feel shit but here we go again. Deadline September, but cheat days every two weeks on Fridays, hopefully eat regular but controlled in future?
One step at a time. It’s about moving the needle forward, whether that be picking yourself back up, moving the scale down, or just making sure you go for a walk 3 or 4 times a week. Progress over perfection.
I am super super curious to see how your metabolism is. Have you gotten any bloodwork to see how effective your thyroid is? What is your body temperature in the mornings?
Thanks! My maintenance plan is just to fast to get to my maintenance weight of 137-143. 65s when I’m out of range, and ultimately 42s when in range. And start incorporating better ways of eating and exercising as time passes 👌🏽
You need to really get up out of your head. You look amazing. So freaking what you put on a couple of pounds. You know how to get it off so that's what's important. You know what to do.
Hi Jerome, can you talk about whether or not you gained any weight during your 4 hour eating windows, eating up to 7,000 kcal (when you were completing 90 hour rolling fasts) please? Thanks
I guess you need to find a correct measure to balance fasts vs re-feeding. It takes trial and error until you find your right place. It is sometimes seems easier to not eat or just not as much. We can't expect to have our cake and eat it too lifestyle. Life doesn't work that way. Some sacrifice is needed and we have to just live with it. We should never love eating too much. It's not worth it, but good luck. You look your best when you're slim but being your (or my) slimest is not everything. I've been also eating but I need to stop again too before it becomes too much. Again. Please feel better and good luck!
@FinallyFasting I just want to say you are an inspiration!! I've been fasting for over 10 years now, fell off, and would love to have a challenge with our community on here to get back on track.
