idk man, i thought your coverage was fair. like yeah what sssniperwolf did was horrible, and youtube's response was awful, but it's not unfair to also look at jack's actions and acknowledge that like, yeah, it *is* a little weird on his part. i get that he's done this in the past with jinx, i get that it's because of the position sssniperwolf is in and her relationship with youtube, but man... dedicating a whole channel, uploading dozens of videos, having dedicated stream sessions, all toward this single person... you can't tell me that isn't a little much lol. and that's not excusing sssniperwolf or trying to equate the two sides, that's just acknowledging that jack is going real hard into this--harder than some people may deem appropriate. i've felt like i've been going crazy seeing 100% of comments/videos on youtube and reddit acting like jack is unequivocally on this pure and righteous crusade against some demonic evil that's plaguing youtube. sssniperwolf's content is morally wrong and youtube's support of it deserves criticism, but i can't imagine spending this much time targeting a single person's content and dedicating hours to criticizing it, day after day. honestly, if i were sssniperwolf, i'd be kinda creeped out--which, again, is not condoning her actions or the ethics of her content. maybe i'm wrong. it just feels like people are purposefully looking at this situation without a shred of nuance because "sssniperwolf bad."

Also this podcast was probably recorded before everyone was talking about it but she told a 16 year old girl to twerk on a video with 2 mil views, Sniperwolf also lied about her own age to the girl, saying she was 16

This was also likely recorded before more of the weird and frankly safety concerning history of hers resurfaced, from the omegle stuff to the alleged arrest for armed robbery, it's gone from "this is dumb don't do this, you creep" to "omg, wtf, this is actually more scary than we thought and she needs way bigger repercussions". Hoping more people talk about this cause after RU-vid's response today, this is just gonna keep happening and it's gonna get worse.

Yeah seriously I was actually cringing a bit about the leeway he was giving her here. She hasn't done anything to demonstrate she deserves any of this grace whatsoever, and using not harassing women in this case is just flat out unnecessary-she's the only one doing the harassing while what Jack has done is AT WORST mild ribbing.

I've watched the videos and I don't think RU-vid videos that you don't have to watch or see constitutes harassment anyways. especially considering as more and more smaller creators and just regular people saw that sssniper took their videos without permission the more it became apparent that they weren’t okay with it. like minors kept going to jack’s streams talking about how she stole videos of them as a baby, or them hanging out with their friends, or their siblings, or whatever else and mentioning how they really didn’t like that and wanted her to remove the clips but didn’t know how to get that done.

I'd argue that Jarvis is more guilty of harassing Dhar Mann since SSSniperWolf is actually a criminal. Cause even though they are terrible at it, Dhar Mann videos at least "tries" to do some good. While SSSniperWolf barely reacts to stealed content and sexualizes minors.

@@maggotqu33n I only knew about Dhar Mann through Jarvis's and Drew Gooden's videos from 2-3 years ago. Back then they were mocking him for the staleness and the unrealistic nature of his content. I thought the comment was referencing to that. Sorry for the missing information if he is a criminal as well.

Jarvis made a couple of videos spread out over months/years on Dhar Mann. There's nothing like 30+ videos in a row and 2 months straight on the guy on his channel. Jack might have had good intentions and been in the right overall here, but it's awful optically to have that level of consistent content on a channel that just makes it seem like he's obsessed/harassing her to anyone who doesn't see the videos. And it's not like it would have been hard to find other garbage react channels and spread the videos between various ones, or having a smaller series of more focused videos

Jarvis made dozens of Dhar Mann videos on his main channel, Jack created a separate troll channel. And Jack was providing sources for the videos being stolen, which is a valuable service. Not to mention sniper's videos aren't just garbage she is stealing content and not using it in a transformative way which is a violation of fair use that leaves her open to lawsuits and therefore threatens everyone on youtube. You've been tricked into blaming the victim and are doubling down by saying his "bad optics" are to blame for your bad take. @@mattgopack7395

Basically she’s not a good person towards a lot of other content creators, steals content, and recently got away with doxing jacksfilms with a slap on the wrist by RU-vid because she brings big monthly earnings to RU-vid. Just goes to show RU-vid is willing to let big content creators get away with bad stuff while striking small content creator accounts with no 2nd thoughts, very corrupt and eye opening for a lot of new people.

In my humble opinion I think Jarvis should have at least watched one or two of Jack’s videos before this… You’re gonna have a whole segment about it on your podcast and you don’t even do a little bit of homework? The videos aren’t even that long… I appreciate that he’s acknowledging it but he’s also probably not the best person to be commenting on this if he’s not informed. That’s just me tho.

Honestly, this sniperwolf situation is just an example of "not everything needs your opinion". If Jarvis wasn't gonna look up the whole context then he didn't need to make a statement on it. He could've just left it at "doxxing is bad" and gotten on with it, but instead we got half-baked statements that lend no further insight nor commentary into the situation as he tiptoed around the subject.

I think that being against lazy reaction content is definitely good, but the moment that he started pumping out video after video solely around her with the bingo thing is when it starts coming across wrong. For all that people are saying it's fair and it was a good thing, it's still an incredible amount of videos to just see one after the other. Like maybe she's the most egregious example of the lazy reaction stuff, but she's not the *only* one - apply that bingo elsewhere, cycle through some to show it's a big issue. Because otherwise it really does come across as obsessed with her. And that would go for anyone - like if someone made 30ish straight videos on a channel in a way that absolutely comes across as making fun of any creator, it would get weird. A couple of long & thought out videos, or recurring and split up between other topics would both have been plenty for him to get his points across.

I think this is being far too harsh to Jarvis - he acknowledged that he didn't have the full context, that he might have some bias because of his relationship with Jack and that it's so easy for people to immediately dogpile on and harass women online so he didn't want to add onto that without more knowledge. The only negative thing you could say about that segment is that maybe it shouldn't have been brought up if Jarvis knew he didn't have all the context, but that's not an uncommon thing for any unscripted podcast. For the knowledge they had, they all went about it exactly the right way imo. I'd much rather this situation be underplayed a bit than for Jarvis to jump into something he knows he doesn't have the full context of and go hardline "this person is 100% in the right and the other person is 100% in the wrong". Even if you feel that's true for this case, there's a world where it's not true and assuming it is doesn't help anyone. Besides, they still had p much the same opinion on it that they would've even with more info and context, "no amount of perceived harassment against you justifies doxing and making someone feel unsafe in their home".

He's "not speaking from his chest" because he doesn't know the full context and doesn't want to jump to conclusions - that's an incredibly good reason. I was also just saying it's too harsh to say he "loses the plot" by trying to be too diplomatic and respectful. Someone sometimes getting things wrong or not taking a firm enough stance in your eyes on certain topics doesn't feel like a huge deal to me Anyway I didn't mean to assume or anything, sorry. Just saying I think a lot of people in the comments here are making it out like Jarvis did something horrible in this episode and went off the rails when, to me at least, his way of talking about that situation in that segment made a ton of sense

i mean, im 100% against her but having a criminal record doesnt make anyone a bad person. people do bad things sometimes and as a someone in the mental health field i will never judge someone for that. she’s still a pretty bad person but i dont care about the criminal history but instead everything else bc she’s currently doing those things.

Yes! I got very disappointed by his take on this. I really hope he acts and talks more responsibly in the future. It's already so disheartening to see how RU-vid handles the situation. I want see better from RU-vidrs, especially from his friends. And I'm not even a Jacksfilms fan.
