CLIP DESCRIPTION:
When the Sheriff (Dylan Baker) comes to investigate, he meets the evil Charlie (Robert De Niro).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A newly single father discovers his daughter is caught up in a web of evil in this thriller. David Callaway (Robert De Niro) has been left to raise his nine-year-old daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning), on his own after the unexpected death of his wife. David is at first amused to discover that Emily has created an imaginary friend named "Charlie," but it isn't long before "Charlie" develops a sinister and violent side, and as David struggles with his daughter's growing emotional problems, he comes to the frightening realization that "Charlie" isn't just a figment of Emily's imagination. Hide and Seek also stars Famke Janssen, Dylan Baker, and Amy Irving.

Dakota Fanning is AWESOME! I have her autograph. It said every little girl role was offered to her in the movies at that age. She was like the Shirley Temple back then. Love her .

In case anyone was confused, the reason Charlie and the Father were the same person but didn't realize it was because the Father had a dieses that caused his brain to have two different personalities. Charlie, was his other dark personality. But somehow, when the brain clicks into Charlie, he has no memory of the Father and vise versa. This dieses can be passed on. So that's why in the end of the movie, Emily drew a picture with her having two heads to represent her other dark personality. I wrote this cuz I was confused and I was just making sure nobody else was. Good movie tho I TOTALLY recommend!

I´m afraid you got it wrong. 1. Charlie and David are not the same person. They just inhabit the same body. 2. Split Personality Disorder isn´t a disease. It´s a disorder. But that´s a side note. David´s personality didn´t just split out of nowhere. It was caused by the trauma he had to endure as a result of watching his wife cheating on him. In real life, Split or Multiple Personality Disorder is extremely unlikely to be caused by just witnessing your partner cheating on you, but it´s always the result of severe traumatic experiences. These disorders are most commonly a result of immense inescapable physical pain over a longer period of time. 3. David wasn´t aware of Charlie´s activities when he was in active control of his body, but Charlie always knew who David was, what his emotions and thoughts looked like, as well as what he did when he controlled his own body. 4. Neither Split, nor Multiple Personality Disorder can be passed on. As I already explained, these disorders are always caused by extremely traumatizing experiences. Which means if your father suffers from this condition, it´s impossible for you to have the same condition unless you are exposed to severe enough trauma yourself. Emily did, in fact, undergo some trauma by witnessing her parents´ death and getting chased by Charlie. In reality, these circumstances alone wouldn´t result in her developing a split personality herself, but I think it´s not a big deal. She still experienced some trauma. That´s enough for a movie plot, I´d say.
