I think the comments were about what I said last video. I appreciate the videos. Thought you'd get more in RU-vid revenue but definitely preferred the less subtle promotions. Great video!

hey, I've been watching the videos for this marathon build. It doesn't seem that you are doing the gym work anymore? or have I missed that? Interesting to know if you are or not? Also how you finding the self coaching approach? or are uou consulting your previous coach regularly? Lot to be said for being coached and self coached, defo pros and cons. But only doable really when you have some knowledge and experience. So for some, coaching is only way to progress, kind of learning the craft as they train.
@sweatelite
@sweatelite Год назад
Hi! You're correct, I am not. And it's not really out of choosing not to; more so that it's challenging wiith the work/travel schedule at the moment.

Wouldn't say that this video was a huge advertising for Oukaimeden (for running) at least not in winter season. but I could be biased as I caught a cold 🥶 and didn't run for 6 days Regarding the 40k long run: will there be video footage?
@sweatelite
@sweatelite Год назад
Keep in mind there aren't many better options in the region at this time of year for those wishing to go to altitude. Kenya- probably better but 18-24hrs travel time as opposed to 3-6hrs to here.

@@sweatelite thats true. btw did you notice during the intervals that the guy with the motorbike on the sidewalk almost hit you?
@JohnBirtchetSharpe

Training destination , makes sense as long as there is enough grip on the shoes to hit all the paces you need.

I’ve usually been driving 40min down the mountain to ~1000m elev where it’s 10-15 degrees celcius for training
@sweatelite
@sweatelite Год назад
There are cafes and restaurants at both locations but more down the mountain. The car rental was fine, yes.

Good location!! there is also a town called Ifrane near fes. Where Moroccan athletes do their preparations and training.

Thanks for the note; have heard of Ifrane, it's a lot lower.

Maybe Ifrane- morocco was a better option at this time of year, although only 1600m altitude but a well known training destination.

A little advice from someone who has travelled many times to Japan: try to arrive with at least 5 days prior to the marathon. The time difference is a killer and you will need time to adjust Good luck!!!

going well Matt, fingers crossed for you in Osaka. if you plot runs/workouts in Final Surge (even free version), they send direct to your watch, which is super handy...might be worth looking at (though sure you knew that already!)

Don’t really think Morocco was the best choice
@sweatelite
@sweatelite Год назад
It's decent, the fact that you can drive 40min down the mountain to 1000m and warm weather is a big bonus. It's also very easier to get to than say, Kenya.

It’s so annoying when this guy and Nick Bester make that “shhhhhhh,” sound between and at the end of every sentence. Other than that it’s great content.

@Willmatecycling what’s strange about what I said? What’s strange is bad habits while talking.
@sweatelite
@sweatelite Год назад
Ssssh sound?
@tyresejackson9665
@tyresejackson9665 Год назад
At 25-26 seconds in he says- “…though I might be slightly wrong…shhhhhhh…”. That’s a really bad habit and Nick Bester does the same thing in all of his videos. Again these are great videos. I’m just pointing out something that’s distracting. There’s another great running channel where viewers regularly point out how often the contributors say “like.” It’s not the worst thing in the world but it is a bad habit.
@WAJG_96
@WAJG_96 Год назад
I bet the sound of people eating, snoring, breathing heavily, coughing, clearing their throat etc etc drives you nuts. You’re that type of person aren’t you?
@tyresejackson9665

@@WAJG_96 If it’s obnoxious than yes. If someone tells you you have a bad habit and your feelings are hurt than there’s really nothing to be done. We all have bad habits. We either take criticism or we don’t.
