transcribed the recipe: 400g flour (2 1/2 cups) 2 tsp baking powder (10 grams) 420 g yoghurt (1 3/4 cups) condiments (salt and pepper, also things like onion and garlic powder) mix those 4 ingredients until dough then turn that dough into a ball cut it into 8 equal balls (each one roughly weighing 105 grams) flatten the dough balls place filling on top (the filling can be anything from the egg and bacon in this video or you can experiment and try different things, like cheeses and meats, however if you do add meat you will have to cook it before placing it as a filling) seal the dough balls (kind of like bao or hot pocket) cook on a stovetop on low-medium heat (around 190°C) for 5 to 6 minutes each side (i would recommend covering the pan with a pot lid so that the heat gets trapped inside and cooks the sides, as in the video if you look closely they look undercooked) (edit: added metric conversion and a bit more detail) (edit 2: added imperial conversions into cups)
@@23Butanedione Dude, c'mon, think for a second before your knee jerk reaction to insult and belittle people. It's mostly about the dough ingredients, which need to be pretty precise. It also specifies the number of calories, which requires specific quantities of ingredients to be consistent.
It's not fair how easy it looks to make that dough. Guarantee I'll come to roll it, it'll be too sticky, I'll use more flour and suddenly I've got 500 calorie Hot Pockets.
A good tip to properly measure flour is to not scoop it with the measuring cup itself, but to add spoonfuls into the measuring cup, then carefully knock air pockets out of the cup, and finally level out the cup with a butterknife.
@@Joyride37 That’s what I was going to say lol, in my case we make Venezuelan arepas, that are mostly made with wheat but sometimes also corn flour. It’s more healthier and taste even better tbh.
As someone that's dieted for bodybuilding and coached ppls nutrition, there's absolutely no way that's only 300 calories. This has to be 500-600 calories.
@@KlungeMasterJayMeal prep takes a bit of time upfront but it saves time compared to cooking each individual meal + cleanup. You could save even more time by using store bought tortillas and make it into a burrito. Defrost in microwave then fry it in a pan for a few minutes. Should be done in 10-15 min.
That last bit about freezing them up made all of this finally make sense, I thought "I barely have time to pour milk in the morning how can i knead dough"
Just made these and measured everything. Even with 1.5x bacon theres barely any filling for 8 buns and it all basically melds into the dough, which tastes eh. Hot sauce does a ton of heavy lifting for this one.
As long as you make sure you fully cook your filling, the only cost to adding a bunch more filling would be that you'd have to warm it up for longer to get the middle hot.
This is perfect for my husband! He has a 1.5 hour drive to work every morning and usually eats in the car because he can’t eat as soon as he wakes up. This would be so easy for him to eat on the go! Making these tomorrow!
Feelings of satiation are triggered by protein, mostly. Also fat. Carbs don't trigger this feeling until a while later. I've noticed that trying to minimize my carbs and have more protein and fats has been an improvement on my ability to remain satiated for longer.
Just use biscuits - roll them out until they are thin (use flour to lightly dust the counter), add meat/potatoes/eggs, fold the biscuit over the top, and cook in the oven on 350 for 15 minutes.
What you meant by your statement was " use biscuits and subtract some of the very essential, Protein and increase your carbohydrates for no reason at all..." right?

@@kamilhoffmann2410bro is gonna eat 8 servings because it makes 8 lmao (which is the only way your math adds up, it is close to 2k if you eat all 8 in one sitting, but thats not the point of meal prepping, the point is to meal prep multiple meals at one time and then eat 1, MAYBE 2 of these breakfast packs for a quarter of what your talking about)
Dunno about Australia and elsewhere, but in the USA we've got a branded product called Hot Pockets, which are okay for what they are with a tight budget and time crunch... But these are clearly 50X better. Excellent for a group and/or meal prep! 🎉
I've never looked at the ingredients on the box, but I'm guessing there are a bunch of long, hard-to-pronouce words (i.e. crap) and an excess of salt. This might cut into your gaming time, but I guarantee its healthier for you. 😉
For anyone wondering, the macros are about: 32g protein 41g carbs 14g fat Ps I used turkey bacon in the calculations and took his word on the 32g protein
Honestly this seems pretty simple and nice to cook up like a ton of these things one night and use them for lunch at my work place saves me time and is probably healthier than my current lunch
Yes it is. Perhaps you should check what the actual recipe is, before spewing your uninformed false nonsense. 120gr. bacon, 6 eggs + 150gr!! . eggwhite, 420 gr. yoghurt and some cheese. The numbers and ingredients are shown in the video, just pay a little attention.
@missjo2036 sorry to tell you I did make it. I'm not like you I don't just spew BS. I have the facts. This meal prep is 2984 calories 163.5 protein. If you were not brain dead you could do the math and see. This is 373 calories and 20 grams of protein per sandwich. Don't know why he has to lie, that not bad.
Anyone thinking I wish it was more keto, just sub for almond flour and remove almost all the carbs. If the little sweet from almond doesn't taste right add more salt to balance it.
@@geekchick4859 a serving of almond flour which is a 1/4 cup is 6 grams of carbs. Compared to 18g carbs in a 1/4 of wheat flour. It's not perfect but it's a much better alternative. Even peanuts are not bad as half their total carbs are fiber. If you are full keto then obviously this doesn't work. Personally I just try to stay low carb so under 50g per day.
@@geekchick4859urgh FFS and a facepalm BC someone accurately explained how to make this recipe with less carbs... You need to grow tf up, even if you had a point is it really that much of an issue?
Have you actually tried this though? If so, and it worked out, I'd love to hear more details about how you pulled it off. I have quite a bit of experience with gluten free cooking/baking† and I suspect you'd be unable to make a proper dough out of almond flour. Without the gluten, it will just fall apart. You'd need to use some sort of binder like xantham gum, chia or flax seeds, extra egg, or a little bit of non toxic glue.‡ Best case scenario, they'd be super crumbly to eat, but they probably wouldn't even make it out of the pan. † My wife is gluten intolerant. Doubters need not comment. I'm ultra sceptical and she eventually convinced me. Either way, my life is easier if I just do what she says.🫡 ‡ That's a joke about AI in case you're wondering. Look it up. It's hilarious.
Keto for too long will raise your cortisol level. That's a stress hormone that can do bad things in large amounts. I think it also reacts with testosterone, too. Try to be careful how you push yourself, metabolically. Also be careful with how long you induce a strain on your body's systems.
This looks delicious but I would not consider it healthy, maybe a “healthier” alternative. Try swapping the bacon for ground beef, add spinach to the eggs, swap low-fat cheese for goat cheese & swap the flour/dough for a homemade dough recipe (maybe using tahini?). Good stuff either way!
I also wouldn’t call it quick and easy! Yes the reheating part of it is easy but putting it all together to begin with is not as simple as it’s made out to be.
I just realized you can save shorts How have I not know this before Really had to find out with your short thank you so much for the short and the new world opening learning that came with it, helpful and dangerous (now I’ll have a list for everything 😅) Recipe is good too 😂
This is a game changer for me. I struggle with eating regularly and cooking because it takes a lot of time and energy that i don't have even though i do like to cook. Having something I can just heat and eat without buying a bunch of expensive junk food is fantastic
You could cook these up on a Saturday or Sunday to the last week to cut out cooking time throughout the week. Just pop in the microwave when you get home from work
That's exactly how I make my eggs but a little more cooked than that. No one ever gets it when they just have them sunny side or runny in the middle. Might give this a go with some baby spinach leaves in it or maybe tomato chutney for the dipping.
Ohhh looks Delicious 😋 Not a big breakfast person but know start out the day with some good food for the energy to get you going. Saving this one Thank you! 🌟
Omg this is what I needed and I’m not a huge breakfast eater but this motivates me to eat in the morning I have also been looking to add more protein recipes to my diet can’t wait to make this
