Thank you for making soy free recipes as I am bulking, I am from Egypt and we don't have access to tofu or tempeh. Or even vegan cheese or mock stuff. So I eat basically beans as my protein source, starches and all fruits and veggies. 🇪🇬☘️☀️
I think your diet is probably healthier. I have been veg for 35 years, so I prefer beans and more natural protein sources. The fake meat scares me! (But the fake cheese is a real luxury, I empathize with you.✨)
Meal prep is the best, saves SO MUCH time! This looks DEELISH. I’ll prob sub the coconut milk with cashew cream but won’t be as nice I doubt! Thx Derek 🌱💪
Thanks bro! I don't think i've ever used cashew cream. We have some sort of powdered cashew milk in the cupboard i've been meaning to try for a while now.
Thanks for sharing your healthy yummy recipes! Question though... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a custom high-protein meal plan from them and it's really working for me.
Congratulations on all the new subscribers…they’re smart people! 👏🤩 Your meals are always delicious looking, wonderfully colourful and nutritious, Derek. Thanks for sharing your combinations, as well as, the macros, afterwards.
Oh yes love it, would love to see more meal prep videos! any kind is great, breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, dinner, desserts - anything is appreciated to be honest. thank you!
Hey brother! Really appreciate you putting these videos out there. Been helping me A LOT! Just started eating plant based 1 month ago, and I’ve already made two of your crockpot recipes! Thank you and would REALLY appreciate more meal prep!!
Congratulations on all the new subscribers…they’re smart people! Your meals are always delicious looking, wonderfully colourful and nutritious, Derek. Thanks for sharing your combinations, as well as, the macros, afterwards.
I found this channel a few days ago and fell in love with it! I’m not a fan of cooking or eating animal-based protein, so this is a gem! Thanks for the great, fun content! Please, please, PLEASE, make more high-protein meal prep videos!!!
I love this. The longer I practice as a physician the more I truly do agree that food is medicine. Its the most common chemical you consume. I'm glad you're out here educating people.
Made this meal, the red lentil tofu, and your other lentil curry meal this week! I always trust your meals because they’re budget friendly, easy to make, & always taste good. Thank you! 🙏
My guy.. After watching a documentary on nutrition, I decided to go vegan starting this week. The only animal product I'll still do for a while will be organic egg whites.. This dish is literally my first plant based cooking.. I followed the steps carefully and I believe I got it right the first time.. I tasted it and it was so lovely.. There's no way in the world I won't cook this again.. Thank you man! You have a new subscriber.. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💯
Thanks Derek, cant wait to try it! As much as I love your what i eat in a day videos, I work 50 hours a week and on top of trying to stay fit, have a social life, and maintain a healthy sleep schedule its impossible to be in the kitchen every night making dinner, and every day making lunch, meal prep is the only way I can reach my health goals, cant wait to try this recipe!! Hope to see more meal preps!
Maybe a cookbook for protein meals like this. Lower calorie with 50/50 plate for those of us trying to lose weight. I love all your recipes, sauces, dressings, and videos. You are a born cook, as we say in the south.
I've been cooking these every week for about 2 month now as a meal prep for the week. Loving it! Thank you so much Derek you made transition to plant based diet so easy 3 years ago and you still make it delicious. Loved your 2 ebooks by the way!
Did you change any of the recipe? I made it as well but would like it to have more flavor. Any recommendations? On second thought, it could be because I need to and am eating it cold. It's a work dinner and I don't have a way of heating it. Probably would have more flavor if it were warmed up.
Great food prep and nutrition video, Derek! My daughter and I both follow you; she thought your ebook for me for Christmas, printed it, and put it in a ring binder! I enjoy all your videos (eep. The trampoline park one) but would really like to see more of the food prep and nutrition like this one. Love, love the red lentil tofu - shared with others and they made it, too!(Hi Crystal)
Man thanks to your videos i have been able to transition to 80% plant based and it has changed my life. Your recipes are amazing dude, thank you so much!
More Meal prep😊!!! I love it so much, and i prepare each week !!! More italien, mexican, asiatique, indian recep!!! I love confort food like this one😊 thanks you so much!! I try this tomorrow !!!
Hi Derek, I love your videos. They are full of so much education that my vegetarian dietitian also said. Here are some video ideas that I know I would love to see. 1. Hot dinner meals with cooked veg instead of a raw salad. 2. breakfast, lunch and dinner for children to wean them toward adult plates. 3. International flavor. Dinners with ingredients from Asian, South America, France and India. 4. BBQ ideas. I grilled mushrooms & cauliflower that was so good but I didn't know how to turn it into dinner. thanks!
very nice recipe! my first time cooking with lentils an quinoa, love the taste of lentlis and the texture from the quinoa. the veggies were a really nice addition. definitely added this meal prep video to my favourite recipe list! thanks💪🏼
Love your video!! Refreshing, entertaining, did not skip processes and exactly what I was looking for. Was about to order one of those meal prep services....but my goodness, too expensive, and all that packaging waste bugs me.
My partner and I made this over the weekend. And holy F. YUM. Just recently started going plant based and if all meals are like this one then YES PLEASE. more of this?
Suggestion: Replace coconut milk with homemade almond milk (3.8 g of saturated fat per 100 g of nuts) or cashew milk (7.8 g of saturated fat per 100 g of nuts)
My PT has been bugging me to start meal prepping to up my protein intake as I HATE cooking so don't eat much. This seems like the perfect start and I already have all the ingredients so I will make it tonight. Thanks.
Yes, I want also more Meal prep recipes. Maybe the same basic meal with different prepared sauces for each day to get the flavour not to boring. Thank you for sharing recipes that work also for an everyday lifestyle and not just for full-time athletes. :)
Adhd friendly. It's already hard to get ideas of what to eat. You know you have to prep and add to take care of your macros 🫠 it's easy like this, follow along, easy to prep, and right nutrients PLUS plant based!! 🎉🎉🎉 more like this
So when I do dishes like this, I use frozen veggies and it turns it into a one pot dish. Plus the liquid from the frozen veggies means you don’t have to use oil or extra water to sauté. Oh and I would make this with brown rice and freeze a few portions. Rice freezes better than quinoa.
Hi Derek, thanks for sharing this amazing recipe, so delicious and full of nutrients!! I recently join your channel, I'm watching your old and new videos, they are so motivating and inspiring, thanks a lot!! 😄🤗
Highly recommend a pressure cooker if you want to cook soaked chickpeas. Canned beans or peas are highly processed and expensive compared to dried beans and peas. Buy dried beans soak them over night in water and the next day cook them up in a preasure cooker any way you want.
