i love it.. i would think that some more of the chain teeth but attached to augers on a second machine design would help excavate out the side slopes of ballast for the under cutter to move along faster.. could it be set up using crawler tracks to lift it to a bin that could dump on either side.. or run the augers outward to spread it out away from the tracks. might be faster than only using bucket excavators.. but it would not replace the bucket excavators..
