Man I get it. Crazy. I’m glad they kept going I’m just not to crazy about the last album. It feels like the middle album gave of a hint that they were going in another direction
It's been a year since you left this comment, hope you got to see them since then. I saw them in Baltimore MD, December 2017,they were absolutely incredible. Amazing show. Would love to see them again. But ya know, life goes on. That's just the way it is...
@@brandonschreiber6403 that's awesome man! Hope you have one hell of a time! It should be a great show! What do you think of their new stuff? I see a lotta people hating on it because it's a bit different than the early stuff. The new MCID album is good, I like it, it's just taking me a little longer to get used to it.
@@johnchristopherlayton1325 I'm pretty much on the same page as you, I just don't really like Tokyo Ghoul because of Young Thugs highly autotuned vocals and Taking Off because it's not really that engaging for me. I'm glad they kept Rock as part of their repertoire, it's what they do best. Their early sound just resonated so well with me that they quickly became my favorite band. @tddybear, Upperdrugs, These Days and Canals were able to continue that sound I've come to enjoy over the past years. I do listen to all types of genres tho, so the newer takes from their side still had familiar elements that I enjoy. It wasn't hard for me to like these songs, just to realise that I'm actually listening to Highly Suspect lol. They did throw their fan base in cold water, it just takes some time to get used to as you mentioned. And all the people hating on them probably don't have much experience in terms of creative processes. If you're not feeling your work 100%, the quality will suffer.
@@brandonschreiber6403 Saw them a month or so ago - amazing (with about 200 ppl) is all I can say. All the songs people have complained about were also amazing live. One of the best live bands I've seen going back to my first concert in '86. Enjoy the show. I won't miss them anytime they are near my town!
3 people that hit dislike ..you don’t know greatness till it hits you upside the head. You 3 will be fans in a decade when they’re killing their 8th album
I thought that was something that you would never see again bc I can remember being at concerts when smoking was still permitted and there he reminding him to fire one up for him now that’s great help
I love how they're playing a Chicago festival but wearing a Washington DC (DC101) shirt. :) But yeah, great show, great performance, great band, and great song!
His behavior on stage at the beginning of the video reminded me of the stage entrance in "The Half of It" movie that the QB made at the high school recital. Nonetheless, I love their music.
It's fine song writing and all. Catchy and marketable. Musicianship is also fine and well. I'm just not all that impressed with "just fine" these days. Probably because I've known and preformed with so much exceptional talent in my life that it makes me sick that they aren't as successful as so many of the ones that are just "fine".
@@jennifervaughn864 Name drop request? Lol. Well… many of the musicians I’m talking about aren’t as well known as I think they should be so you probably wouldn’t recognize them, which was kinda the point. David Lion is an example. And Josh Williams of Syztem 7, Invertical and Ghosts of the Pacific. But some names/bands you might recognize that I’ve played with are Gemini Syndrome, Parabelle (formally Evans Blue) Drowning Pool, Nixon Rodeo, The Fall of Troy and more.
@@MidwestGodYY when did you see Them Live ? They are coming soon ! Really looking forward to seeing Them Live ! They have a few New Song's out ! And if you look you can find more live videos of Them Live Again Great you have seen Them Live!!! The 58 Grammy Award's messed up in the beginning of performance . But They still Rocked it!! Live Again Not a fake performance . You know when singer's use a backup track. Well anyway do you have any video of the show? Thanks!
Interrupting my phone call and using my devices in prison to pervert my Menes and presence is the sound issue undertow to Parole officer chuck is back and he left with facet
Nah they won’t lol, I mean, they’ve been doing drugs, ATLEAST Johnny, but even then rockstars tend to do that kind of stuff. Anyways, their latest album is very VERY experimental, Johnny always wanted to make rap songs from what he said from interviews. With that being said it’s safe assume their rock isn’t going away any time so but it’s also safe to assume that there’s gonna be more different types of style of music from them.
I don’t think drugs will turn them into rappers that doesn’t make sense but I do hope they’ll stick to their old school style and keep making instrumental music. They could change shit up and bring rock back to mainstream! We got enough Rappers out there already ... shits gettin lame 😒
Sad this guy "had" and amazing voice but smoking and drugs makes him in person sounds nothing like his recordings. sounds like the same damage to Whitney Houstons voice from smoking crack over the years,,,can hold any notes for more than .5 sec.. love his recordings though.
@@tellthetruthtyrant7398 just concentrate on his last statement. Don't pay attention to the begining of the comment.. of course they sound different in a live show .
Gee Johnny.....I don't know but could you concentrate more on your guitar playing and less on smoking a fucking cigarette. Just saying. Lmao It's all good....
