While it’s still important to train primary strength exercises like deadlifts and squats, these strength through length movements can often be the oil that keeps you lubricated, and pain free Feel free to check out the plentiful amount of videos I have on further regressing these movements, like how exactly to transition from elephant walk to Jefferson curl
Have you done a video just on ankle flossing? I'm struggling with ankle issues, and I'm wondering if this is a missing link. Thanks for your quick, clear, and kind videos.
@movementgems how often should I train these muscles starting out as beginner? I got like 100s of exercises I would love to do over the next 5 years. My goal is to be fit by 40, best physical shape I’ve ever been in my life. Even when I was in in military I weighed like 205 but no abs no chest muscle just endurance. I am going to work every muscle that I can, so at least once in my life I can truly be happy inside and out about my achievements. I think you trained for three years, sorry if that’s inaccurate. But how do you breakdown doing these stretch routines and actual workout routine, have life, family, time for fun?
I have knee pain in my vmo area and i’m fairly certain it’s due to my hip adductors (groin) and my hip abductors (outer glutes) being weak and tight, should I prioritize seated good morning and pigeon pose???
Is there anything I can substitute for the seated good mornings? 😊 I had proximal hamstring reattachment surgery in 2019, and this exercise helps my groin but puts too much pressure on the site of the surgery so I had to stop
Haha I have a great program named Hip Harmony that I give out for free on my Skool community that’s linked in my bio on youtube. Check it out, and also the Glute Variation section within the community! I share everything for free there
i let my girl sit on my shoulders when doing pancake stetches that gets me 10cm more down and yes it hurts and i have to lie down after because my spine hurts
why do I get costochondritis after doing this bending over motion. I struggle to get a full breath and have vibrating nerve feeling in my middle back and discomfort in my left lower rib(more in the middle), like nerve pain, stabbing.
@@jehorigby8778 Thanks for commenting! I just wanted to add that I'm not doing anything with weights. It's just the bending forward or down motion that agitates the rib nerve. So basically for about half a year I've been avoiding bending as much as I can. It just sucks cause I just woke up too and I didn't get much sleep, because the condition limits how deep and free I can breathe and I woke up twice in the night struggling to catch my breath. I've had a similar problem for more than 2 years, but 6 months ago and before the symtoms were different and it was that I couldn't do any exercise and weight lifting, because my upper abdomen and the rib would give me stabbing pain for 2 weeks. Then one time in the bending down motion, I lifted up something heavy and I had this stabbing pain when I did it. And for 3 days I had this breathing issue, but on the 3rd day I don't know what I did, but I got another stabbing pain but the breathing issues went away. And it was like this for 3 months I could do anything. But then the bending down thing started. At first the discomfort from bending down went away after a walk.(no breathing problem back then) But then I did some chiropractic stretch 6 months ago and that was a bad idea, cause I had that stabbing pain and my ribcage swoll and from that time on I've had the issues. Actually like 2 months ago I fixed it myself. I didn't bend down for a period of time and then I decided to try it. And I had this pop in my lower back and by the evening I felt this nerve stab a bit and everything went well again. But a week later I accidentally bent down and all the breathing problems and stuff came back. But thanks for clarifying that you don't think that's costo! I'm going to a physical therapist next week.
I asked the same question and no one answered me either. Still waiting but I just figured it out after a simple thought experiment; it means Ass To Grass. But never heard it used for lunges. Could have just said FROM (full range of motion) IMO (in my opinion.
