Hitches and Bumpers - My International 4700 Farm Tow Rig Update
This is my international 4700 custom build that I am making for my farm truck. I need a tow rig I can just do whatever I want with. I plan on putting on a class V receiver hitch, a pintle hitch, a gooseneck hitch and a 5th wheel hitch. All that with a rear bumper and lights is going to be a beast. I think I want to install hitch rails and make it easy to remove the gooseneck and 5th wheel hitch. Ones like these: amzn.to/3qAaxoM There are some 40,000lb rails out there that I would probably use. Let me know what you think. Should I do rails? Hide a hitch? Maybe even make it puck capable. Not sure yet.

@@SeidelRanch havent gotten anything yet im still tracking the market. California just banned a bunch of old diesel trucks so maybe some good deals could be had. but yeah just waiting for a good time and learning all i can in the mean time.

Those welds sure did not want to let go. It will look much better without that big bumper on the back.

Exactly. Whoever welded that plate onto the bumper did a heck of a job.

That rear end looks so much better without that big bulky rear bumper. I think a sleek, strong steel bumper would look great. How the lights get setup will matter too.

I will strip that bumper down to the c-channel and see how it looks. If it fits and looks nice, it's going back on in a different fashion.

I so hear you. I started on this project with so much excitement and life just keeps kicking me in the rear. Right now it's parked in the shed waiting on that rear bumper to get put on. I hope I can start back on it in the fall.
