For this Halloween "Special" I take a look at Hobgoblins (1988), one of the worst horror movies ever made.
It’s a cheap rip-off of Gremlins, a film that despite having a lot of it’s own problems is a generally enjoyable comedy-horror. Hobgoblins is to Gremlins what Mac & Me is to E.T. Except that while Mac & Me at least had a sizeable budget and some good intentions, Hobgoblins is utter garbage.
Think of any problem you could find in a film, and you’ll find it here. Awful writing, terrible acting, scenes and shots that are pointlessly long, bad music and sound effects, laughable special effects, continuity errors, this film has it all.
