@Dwarov 1 He is right partially, the Finns had enough ammunition for one month only. They influenced tremendeous loses on the soviet side and showed how incompetent the soviets are. The soviets won just because they approved the Shapashnikov plan in the end (push through Karelia to Helsinky) instaed of pushing the whole border. Finns could never win, unless they had more ammo and better protected cities and factories. (The soviets started bombing them instaed of their initial bombing of railways, which could be up and running back in couple of hours or days depending on the damage). Despite having very low manpower, their army fought very well.
@Dwarov 1 I know, It wouldn't be a full victory, they "won" in our timeline anyway (despite losing a lot of territory, the loses and tactical defeat for soviets were worse, because they reinforced the idea of soviet incompetence, once the Third Reich invaded them)

With the Cash Carry Act, any side in the war could buy from the US, as long as they could pay up front and could transport the goods. When the allies made the US more money, the Lend Lease Act was passed to promote the allies buying from us and is the first actual case of a side getting support. The US still didn't care, they just made money off of Europe's stupid squabble. And then Japan got a bit greedy. And America started caring.
