Looks to me like maybe it's been apart before and wasn't put back together right, looks kinda like the bolts backed out, just a bit odd that the rod bolts are still in tact ,they're usually at the very least bent/twisted, if the sump bolts were loose it wouldn't much of a stretch that someone forgot to fully tighten that rods bolts 🤔 Definitely hydrolocked it though and Rodney came to play lol Exhaust on the fwd setup is cool, that's how a lot of people do the turbo manifolds, up over the bellhousing, it's cool to see it was done from the factory too, front engine mount is a beast haha. Was also interesting how many different cars they actually came in.

That engine reminds me of a Holden we fix up with a massive hole in the block. So we got another 3800 V6 out of a Toyota Lexcen. And that 3800 had very very low Kms and she get up and bogey. I miss it

That pipe comes out just a pain in the butt a o ring is the only thing basically holding it in there make sure u try get the right o ring 2 replace it or it'll leak 26mm diameter by memory and coat it with petroleum jelly

Man that engine didn't like second gear. Must of made a little noise when she let go. Pretty good crack And a lot of parts hanging around in the bottom of that pan. Looks like that other engine should be good pretty clean in side. I wish you luck with it but don't think you need it your going to be just fine😁 take care brother 👍

Pretty common for the 1 and 2 rods to go like that and punch holes in the block They get hot and the oil gets to thin and the bearings spin eventually nip up and break the rods
