I would have absolutely no problem getting off oxys if it wasn't for the restless leg syndrome which spreads through my entire body. it's impossible to explain it to someone unless they have been through it. I can take the puking, hershey squirts, hot and cold flashes..etc etc etc...but nothing compares to that psychotic restlessness...they should seriously change the name to something else. restlessness just isn't strong enough of a word.

If your watching this video your already hurting. But. You already know what the right thing to do is .. Delete the phone numbers calls and texts, get in bed, close the blinds, reach out for support.... I did it.... 1 month it took. Cold turkey... And 3 years later still clean. Fun DOES come back... Excitement comes back... Boredom goes away, REAL PAIN actually goes away with Advil (the most exciting day of my life when I took 2 Advil and my back stopped hurting) ... It will get better..

I have watched this video twice a day since 1/26/14. I'm on day 5 cold turkey from a norco addiction. Been addicted since 2008. Wasted 6 years of my life and lost time with my children I'll never get back. I can't express how much watching this help. I usually too 8-10 tablets a day. This time around I will NOT go back. I've shared this video with my mother and hope she looks at it the same way I do. It's inspiring and REAL and it's a must watch for someone who's motivated to lick and get your life back.

I can honestly say that I have not even been in eye sight of an opiate since I got clean. I completely secluded myself from anyone I knew that used. I may have seemed like a hermit to them, but I was busy finding myself. There is nothing wrong with taking time to yourself. Change your number, do not answer fb messages. Pills do not control you, YOU control you. It takes a serious eye opener to see what I am saying. Believe me, it's worth being an outcast to them.

The brain is a POWERFUL thing...nearly a year later and I still get depressed, but it is MUCH easier! I took up to 30 norco at a time with no high..and went cold turkey..worst ride of my life!

Thanks bro for the motivation. I'm 61, been on oxy for 9 years, and I quit 11 days ago when taking 100mg a day. I'm almost functional again, taking anti nausea meds and ambien so I can sleep....but I'm pushing through it, the 5 days of hell I'll never forget, and now each day is getting better. Thanks for your strength.

The feeling of wanting to go back is just part of the process. I've decided to always make myself the promise that when I am feeling at my worst and near the breaking point that I will always wait it out for one more day. The one extra day can be the difference between a last step towards feeling better or walking the entirety of the long dark road from square one. Those ravenous urges are intense though. Choose life...

10 years of addiction, all/any opiates, methadone(pure fucking hell), suboxone, 6 lovely rehab stays, halfway houses...you name it.....NEVER has another human being spoke such simple words that gave me the deepest hope and JOLT that I have NEVER felt before. Thank you Ryan Donnelly! I must have called 75 sub. Dr.s where Im from and non of them had openings....then i seen your vidoe and just today I realized that their was a reason I could not find a new sub. Dr. If I would have found one yesterday, I would have never know that in just 24 hours I would be feeling much better from w/d!! thank god!! and thank you! and as a bonus...your gorgeous to watch;)

Everyone is different. I don't get cravings as often as I did in the beginning of my recovery but every so often when I do I think about when I was going through withdrawals the last time. The pure hell I was facing physically but much more mentally. The fear of the mess I had created, (pending felonies, ruined friendships, making my life an overall disaster.) Channel those feelings you get. That same drive to get the drug, put it into something positive and kick your days ass.

you are right! you do have a very important purpose on this earth and it is to start a non profit rehabilitation center!....that's gonna be great!....I am currently clean since January 5th 2013. I wasn't able to go cold turkey but I did use suboxone but what I didn't do was use as much as they tell you too!...when you do get this rehab open I want to be a volunteer!...I don't care what the position as long as I can be a part of helping all these great people be great again !

Watching this video has done more for me than you can ever know. Four months ago I tried to help someone, in turn I was shot in the face and shoulder a foot away with a caliber .357 magnum pistol loaded with high power hollow point rounds. When I woke up 1600 miles away from home in Harborview hospital in Seattle Washington. I concentrated on healing so I could see my family and friends, and also my girlfriend, I had an engagement ring for her and was waiting for the right time and place to ask

Thank you so much. I was crying with you. After I was put in a psych ward I couldn't take it. I thought I was going to live in a half way home by the way everyone was talking and acting. I just happened to be near someone who had heroin. I couldn't even get help at first by my mother and pretty much everyone could except my brother needed help, but me, no I wasn't an addict I had to just stop. Eventually I got help and that lasted around 3 years! Now i'm engaged and i'm sitting in this bed freaking the fuck out. I just want to fat guys to lay on myfucking arms!!!! i'm alone now b/c fiancé is at work and this made me feel better. It still feels like shit but I know Ive been through so much this is FINALLY the end of the rain of shit clouds leaving my life. from psych wards, pneumonia near death in a hospital, to withdrawing from fuckin methadone. I'm almost there… well not really it's only day 2 and i'm freakin, but the good thing is I have absolutely NO way to get anything even if I wanted. Thank you again!!

Right on dude, I have been on this roller coaster for 20 years and it just takes and takes, I want to get clean and stay clean. This is the most important thing you can do for yourself and everyone in your life. Life is beautiful and you can do everything you think you need dope for a million times better without it. I'm still struggling and will be for a long time but it is always getting better. Screw the haters and the assholes. Do what you need to do when you need to but make sure that your not living life born to loose, live to win. That is Rock'n'Roll! Keep up the PMA (positive mental attitude!) I wanna live!

I'm 19 and a half. I had a 6 month oxycodone addiction. Averaging 40mgs a day orally. As I'm writing this it is my 3rd day of having withdrawals. I have done horrible things too, man. I grew up in the middle, but started stealing from my parents and eventually they found out so I came clean. The mental part is the hardest right now. I feel like I'm never going to get better. Currently I'm not allowed to leave my house to go ANYWHERE. I don't see sleep happening tonight.

Everything you said about getting clean is how I try to imagine it, and how good it will feel is the only thing that keeps me going at this point because I'm so sick of being strung out. It's good to hear someone explain how much your life can change because sometimes I forget what it's like to be clean. Got my Subutex, Clonodine, and gonna do this like it's the only thing that matters in life. I'm also stoked to see how much you really want to help other people. That's a true hero to me.

Insomnia and all the reasons for it is the number 1 reason why people go back during withdrawal from my experience. This may sound absolutely absurd, but buy a bar of irish spring soap, take the bar out and place it under the sheets near your feet. For some reason this helps psychotic leg syndrom.

Great video! Best I've seen through these fish eyed lensed detoxing eyeballs I'm looking through. Love the illustration of "you can go this way or that way" to elaborate I'd say each day is going up a rung on a ladder and you're wanting to get to the other side of that wall. Once you're up there you can go back down and stay on that side or keep going and jump that wall.

Ignore the haters. People putting others down on the internet obviously don't have it "all together" in their own lives. I became addicted to prescription drugs after years of use do to a painful and incurable autoimmune disease. I didnt even abuse them, i took them as prescribed but even so they warped my life. U can imagine how hard it was but i made it. the crazy thing is, i went back to work on day 8 and felt ok physically but so overwhelmed. went on suboxone and know il one day kick this too. did u go to a detox and if so, did it make it any easier?

How much were you taking at your peak? I'm about to start my recovery after 3 years of opiods. I'm a veteran that was badly injured on my last deployment and have been on and off hydro and oxy. I've limited myself to only so much because I know how bad the withdrawals can be. It used to be very bad but now it's only around 3-5 5mg oxy's. unfortunately I'm mainly quitting because I can't get anymore...I know i need to want to do it for myself though. I just function so much better with them...

I really gotta watch this tomorrow. I just kinda "relapsed" and took 20mgs like 30 minutes ago. I've been taking this shit randomly from january 2012 to december 2012, and more or less daily from the beginning of 2013. But i really gotta stop doing this shit, i tried to quit and i really thought i could do it. And my dose isn't that high either, it's been about 20-40mg / day. I was TOTALLY wrecked when i tried to quit. i managed to be a few days sober, and i realized i'm a slave to this crap.

I feel like shit and can't stop freaking out . Family and friends are more important to me so I am Dedicated to stopping. Your story is Definitely an eye-opener. I was told that Weaning down to a smaller dose before completely quitting was the best way. Is this true? Thanks for being real about all of this.
