@@01SaltyWitch she was in a way much better because she actually apologized.... this "chef" P or whatever seems like a horrible person that can't take any valid criticism whatsoever.... and to then blame people that supported her business that had more than reasonable concerns.... she didn't deserve to get a deal for her nasty sauce that's not even pink.
@@edelleaa I think that much of the flack Chef P initially got was unfair and unfounded and because of that, she's seen herself as a victim every step of the way. From the minute that sauce went viral people were saying it made them sick, who had never bought the product. So when valid critiques and call in's were made she was always on the defensive and lashing out at everyone. Shocked she was bought out.
Seems like that host and whole show is full of idiots if that’s how they react to all this. I don’t understand how they told her to her face that SHE needed to learn something.. Not the woman who almost poisoned tons of people.. 💀
Agreed! they were subconsciously trying to manipulate her into thinking she is completely unreasonable for worrying about a public health concern. I don't know about you but I won't be trying pink sauce anytime soon.
As a black woman, I think what pissed me off about the Kamaro show is that Kamaro intentionally brought a white woman on the show to push a certain narrative that it might be a racially motivated criticism of the pink sauce. There were black women who criticized the sauce but Kamaro knows that no black woman would have tolerated the disrespect on the show and it wouldn't have heightened the profile of the talk show episode and talk show overall. To be honest, as a fervent watcher of Fab 5, I was so disappointed by that debacle and it made me realize that Kamaro is a hack and even worse, a capitalist hack. The hack is to say and do anything for the attention and financial benefits.
I agree I felt like it had smth to do with race but i just didn't want to out right say it (im an ethnic person fyi) I cannot believe they completely disregarded her request of sitting away from her like that is so fucked up and publicly telling the audience about it when it should have been kept between alle and the producers the entertainment industry has and aways will be so fucked up
they definitely tried to push the narrative by having him point blank say “we separated your couches because you said you would feel unsafe sitting next to chef p” without elaborating why she felt unsafe- they want you to think her actions were racially motivated when she was just warning people about an unsafe product 😭😭😭
The fact that they tried to write off the valid criticism of Chef Pii’s unsafe product (a good deal of which was done by POC) by saying it was just people who wanted to take down a Black businesswoman is infuriating. Especially since this now dilutes the actual issue of people targeting/being unescessaeily harsh towards Black owned businesses.
I just lost so much respect for Karamo for telling the girl who was just trying to spread awareness that the sauce was unsafe that she was in the wrong 💀
And to this day he has not apologized for it. And calls all the criticism he got for it “hate” Edit: actually just checked and he posted an “apology” video 10 days ago. Haven’t watched it, but the fact that he kept calling everyone haters and it took him literal months to apologize, I highly doubt it was a sincere apology. Producers probably saw the show was tanking and forced him to do it

this makes me so mad on behalf of alex- she was sold a product that could have seriously harmed her and when she raised questions about it she was brought on tv and publicly humiliated. why tf are we siding with the person who put glitter in their sauce and didn't even know what the FDA was??
To add to this...the argument about Alex being "wrong" for putting the review on tiktok publicly instead of going to Chef Pii directly--like are you serious?? THAT'S WHAT A REVIEW IS FOR. A PUBLIC EVALUATION OF A PRODUCT, SO THAT OTHERS THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING SAID PRODUCT CAN MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. And it should especially be public when PUBLIC health is on the line. That woman is so up on her high horse and it makes me upset that the host was on her side.

The self control Alex had on the talkshow, especially after the "i think the learning is more on your part", i cannot imagine. i would have started eating people
I assumed that Karamo’s role in the talk show was more of a “I invited this person (Chef Pii) onto the show and didn’t reign her in when she was outright bullying and lying about Alle’s actions”, which is still very bad. But I was so disappointed to see that he was an active participant in the completely ridiculous humiliation of Alle. That clip where he says “I think the learning was more on your part” to Alle made me want to scream!! How was she in the wrong for buying a publicly available product with her own money and then making a public review on her opinions?! They tried to treat it like she was being super unreasonable by simply warning people that this product was not safe to consume.

It is just infuriating how everybody on that talk show was against Alle for warning the public. Saying that she endangered the livelihood and life of the Chef while not acknowledging that the Chef was selling a potentially fatal product is just insane 🤯
Also like.. can we just take a minute to acknowledge how stupid the claim that she “endangered her livelihood” was? At the point of Allie making that video, pink sauce had only been out for a month tops. It’s not like pink sauce was an invention she had spent 10 years perfecting. If the damage Allie did with that review was irreparable to the pink sauce brand, she could get a normal 9-5 job or go back to doing whatever tf her job was before she made the pink sauce.

Absolutely vile, but I expect nothing less from American television like this.
She's so rude and dumb, and yet PROUD of her ignorance. Truly the least deserving of what she has. She didn't even do anything impressive. Pink sauce is basically ranch with dragon fruit which will naturally dye anything pink.

I'm still angry that Chef Pi did not get punished in any way shape or form for selling not only botulism, but potential salmonella products. Real classy.
I think Chef P was also unfairly treated and went on to handled that treatment very poorly. Case and point this video. I saw that same video from How to Cook That mentioned above and not only was she able recreate the formula using the ingredients on the label, she argued that much of the speculation of the products danger were overblown. Her sauce was no different from ketchup or ranch. Her business was initially maligned from NO reason. That was then infinitely made worse by her own horrid, uneducated, and unprofessional remarks. That was false, she’s def had issues her behavior and product’s labeling but boutulism was totally made up and no one was reported actually getting sick. @Neko That seemed very intentional. It looked like they wanted to create this narrative of "strong independent black businesswoman fights back against evil white Karen".
To preface I’m black but imma say run I think that talk show host went so hard to defend the pink slime lady because she’s a black woman trying to start a business and her critic is a white woman. He decided to guilt trip Alex and imply that she’s the cause of pink lady’s safety problems all because she made the same critiques that other people (including black people) made. as someone from south america (were we largely consume powder milk) powder milk NEEDS to stay in powder form to not go bad. When you mix it with anything liquid in becomes milk and it will go bad. @Jason Ziegler that's because she's not a real Chef. She was a private cook with no culinary school degree and only four years experience as a private cook. Yeah. There's a lot of shelf stable ingredients that become no longer shelf stable when mixed with something. For example, to make homemade bisquick mix (American thing, it's a baking mix), you only need shelf stable ingredients. However, you still need to refrigerate it because of the reactions the ingredients have when they come in contact. How do people not do an ounce of research when they are thinking of selling these things. It makes small business owners who actually carefully plan everything, look bad.
