Seriously the best reviews out there for Canadians. Love how you cover a lot of information about the cheaper models. Common sense review for the everyday drivers. Love the review of the hrv vs cx3 as well.

fantastic review...you truly left no stone unturned~ my last two cars were civics and there are times i think of changing it up and trying something new....but the way Honda is going with their upgrades, it really doesnt justify a change for me and at that price range too~... looking forward to changing cars to the '17 civic once my lease is up!

Yeah, me too seems to have a bit issues with the rear compared to the ninth generation (2013-2014 version specifically), but the engine is awesome and at 16-17k would be very affordable for me, if other things could go better

I have a 2010 honda cr-v ex bought it new and until now never use the volume knob on the dash always used the volume control on the steering is much easier, other then that is a great review.

This car will send a lot of manufactures a run for the customers. I think this car looks gorgeous inside and out. This will deff put on the fence between accord coupe and civic... I can't wait to see the civic coupe.

I have this model in the USA. I just think they went kind of crazy with the new design. The seats are SUPER LOW...so . The front side driver's side do not have seat adjustable options. Just the driver's side does and that sucks. Overall cool car...hopefully it will be a super reliable as previous versions. I decided to get the 2016 EX version. I love it.

Great review! Just saw one of these on the road... reminds me of the new Maxima... I really feel that the design is not smoothed out and looks like two cars mashed into one. The back is horrendous!

Hi Motormouth Canada. first of all I am huge fan. The way you deliver reviews is just class. I want to ask if I should go for 2016 CIVIC EX-T($25000) or Mazda6 GX($26500). Mazda is just class above and feature list is almost same excluding Honda Sensing which I don't want. Don't you think Mazda6 makes more sense as it is more premium?

How does the new turbo compare to the outgoing Si in terms of sportiness/fun-to-drive factor? This spring I got and Si and now I'm wondering if I should have waited and just got the new 1.5T if the performance is basically the same, but is much cheaper and quieter.

Except for the back, which looks a lot like the Hyundai Elantra, this is a nice looking car. One of the things I never liked about the 9th generation Civic was the fact that it was hard to see the front part of the hood out front. Has this problem been corrected with this new version?

I don't know how I feel about the exterior design... Really not feeling the hatchback look of the car, but still seems like a great car. I think Im going to go and get a 2016 accord sport instead. Crazy in love with just about everything about it. I also don't know if it's just me, but it seems to me like the design of the new accord looks similar to a BMW (rear) which I am all for!

Back in 2013 I bought a Mazdaspeed 3 (13') I love this car and aways wanted one. But I wife can't drive stick and my daughter will be learning how to drive in a year or so and the Speed 3 is great but not a car you would want to teach someone how to drive manual in. I think I am going to trade it I'm for a 2016 Civic EX-T. Did you get a chance to drive the 1.5T in Sport mode? If so how was it?

I remember Acura saying all their cars will be AWD soon. I'd be willing to bet the hump in the back seats is for the Acura AWD system for the ILX which is based off the Civic.

+Kinetis You're 100% wrong.The ILX shares its platform with the 9th get Civic (the outgoing model, with no hump in the centre). In fact, the hump was necessary to run the exhaust due to the decreased height of the vehicle.

NeutralGenericUser And when the ILX based on the 9th generation civic runs its course, the ILX will get transitioned to the 10th generation civic platform. That is one big tunnel if all they wanted to do was run exhaust pipe.

dont like small turbos and dont like manual and CVT, can I get it in Auto 2.0? also TFL said the body pannels are thinner for cost cutting, is that true?

impressive hp and torque from a 1.5 turbo. but I guess with regular fuel, the real world hp and torque will be less. anyways, still a great improvement to civic and can't wait to learn about the next si

In this day and age, offering the 6 speed manual in the future is just isn't enough. There should be a 7 speed manual just like the Porsche and the Corvette. Needs the rev matching synchronization too.

I don´t know why so much fuzz about absence of volume knob.... One click opens the volume bar to the right, then click exactly the volume level you need!! No need swiping up or down!!! Is it that hard?!??!?!!?

You get a back-up camera, every Civic, because of major blind spots! I know because I currently own a 2012 Honda Civic Coupe... for about 2 more days...yup, I'm selling it because I can't SEE to back up, changing lanes has become stressful. This weekend I'm going to the dealer to pick up my new 2015 Civic coupe, with back up camera as well as lane watch.

I'm worried about direct injection. Has Honda solved the carbonising of intake valves due to the direct injection? I hear DI engines can get their intake valves carbonised as little as 16000 kms, and the walnut blast fix is around $400-$600.

Test Drove an Accord and Civic back to back, and I think you're right. Why spend $24k for a base Accord when I can get a nearly loaded Civic for that money? They're both so good... I just saved some money and bought the Civic.

They’re having problems moving Accords. The Civic is eating into sales but also the CR-Vs. Camrys have more attractive pricing and financing options, too.

I wonder why professionals are still mentioning engine power when talking about acceleration. It's the torque numbers that matter for acceleration. The engine power is only relevant for the maximum speed, surely not a matter for most Civic owners.

This looks like a great improvement except the Civic was already one of the lowest compact cars, I'm not sure a lower height is a good thing. The Si and R can be lower, I'm not sure how the average buyer will like this.

A lower COG is great for handling, I'm just not sure the average buyer wants a lower car. My family has had Preludes and Civics and it's way too easy to scrape the front bumpers on curbs.

Zack, I've always enjoyed your reviews, but this new civic nothing but issues, it was a big disappointment, the audio stopped functioning within a month, you can hear road noise inside the car, it doesn't feel solid, way over priced for what you get......
