The guys have driven the Civic Si, and come away impressed. The Civic Touring seems like it's pretty much up for anything, and possibly just a little too willing. Does this mean every Honda vehicle has this quality? Join them for a real time Test Drive.

It was amazing just how spot on these two are. I drove a Civic as a young man, but have been in mide size cars for 30 years. Needing a new car a few months ago I came across this Civic looking at Accords. I could not justify buying a 40k Accord when this was available. I got the sport touring to get even more bang for the buck. Now it might look funny to see a 60 year old climb into a hatchback but I don't care. I like it.

I'm here because I was looking at a 23 Accord and although it officially hasn't come out yet, The look of this is so much cleaner and for several thousand less with all the bells and whistles you'd get with the high end model. Yes you lose some back seat space and the gas mileage may not be as good but its worth it in my opinion.

I have watched a lot of car review videos and I think these guys nailed what's important for the daily driver. I drive over 25k miles a year so comfort, road noise and handling are really important to me. I was pretty set on buying a K5 EX, all the bells and whistles but before I ever drove the K5 I drove the new Civic Touring, big mistake! The Civic had almost everything I was looking for and it's super comfortable and fun to drive. That next weekend I finally found the K5 I was looking for. The K5 has some really cool features, surround camera, vented front seats, electric folding mirrors and the road following features are excellent. Leaving the dealership, I could tell right away this is no where near the ride quality of the Civic, more cabin noise and does not take the bumps like the Civic. As soon as I got up to highway speed on the interstate, the disappointment deepened, this is not the road trip car for me. The Civic now rivals many midsize cars. I have driven the Accord for years and I actually like the Civic better than my Accord and the Civic is a much lower price point and gets way better gas mileage. If your shopping for a midsize car don't drive the Civic until you have driven all other cars you are interested in because the Civic will spoil you.

34 MPG with regular pump gas, on a vtec (kind of) 1.5t. I don't know about you but I like this 11th gen Civic the more I hear about it. Was on the dealership lot last weekend and well....shopping for a 2022 Honda Accord Sport. Then I saw the price on the 2023 Civic Sport and was like ok, MPG combined....34MPG....light bulb. The rims on the Sport and the LED's sold it for me. I have driven the Accords for over 20 years. Honda has really made some reliable cars over the years. I have had 6 different Honda's, and each one just worked with the basic maintenance applied. Now I am looking for a 2023 Civic Sport Touring or a EX-L trim with Bose audio. I want a car I can keep for another 10 years and not care what new car is out. Totally agree with the back seats in the Civic, I would even say the 10th gen Accord is up there for size of back seat room. But yes the back seats on the Civic are magically larger vs the other makes and models of the next segment size up.

I really like this new Civic Touring. However, I own a '20 Accord Touring 2.0T and I absolutely love the power of my car. If the 2.0T engine didn't exist, I would for sure consider getting a Civic Touring. I'm really glad that Honda engineered the Civic so well. I'm very excited to see what they're going to do with the next generation '23 Honda Accord. If they improve the Accord on par with the improvements they made on the Civic, there's a very strong probability that there will be a '23 Accord Touring in my garage sometime next year. 08/27/22.

Yo!!!! These 2 sold me. I currently have a 2020 Kia FE. ( Fuel Efficiency ) It’s been great. Haven’t had a problem out of it yet. I get 42 mpg on that without even trying. HOWEVER! I’m looking for something more sleek, with more power, and still with fuel efficiency. This fits the ticket. Not only that but Honda has proven that they’re built to last! If I had to live with a CVT I'd have no problem living with a new Civic or Accord. If I'm stuck in traffic 80% of the time, it doesn't matter for a daily anyway to me. Its responsive enough to pass on the highway and get out of its own way and gets such good gas mileage, it pretty much justifies its own existence.

It was great that you guys noticed the growth in the Civic and the Accord. Kind of makes you wonder if now Honda will come out for the North American Market with a compact, like they did with the HRV and the CRV and Pilot got bigger. Maybe a Yaris fighter, provided of course that it sells, but maybe that’s what the base Civic is and they just rid of the FIT. UNFORTUNATELY finding or getting an dealership to actually put in an minimal effort and order a manual in the color you want (lunar silver) is to much effort for them. Also when they were jacking the price up $5,000 to $7,000 over MSRP. I went with the notchy but still fun to drive Subaru Impreza Hatchback "manual" which I "could" find. With the seats folded down it offers More cargo space (54 cubic feet) than the honda (plus I have an roof rack) that has now been reported to have rear hatch leaks. I actually think from some rear three quarters angles it looks like Chevy Cruze. It is a good vehicle no doubt. Take the Corolla because. Don’t like turbo engines. Still good solid transportation here.

We were down to the civic touring and Mazda 3 as our next daily and long term tester. You just could not get a Civic in any kind of reasonable time period without a ridiculous mark up. And the 3 is pretty darn good with its six speed and rev happy 2.5 N/a 4. So the 3 it was. But it is down on space compared to the civic.

When Mazda jerked out the independent rear suspension on the Mazda 3, and put in the old fashioned twist beam, the FANBOYS left them in droves!

Mazda 3's rear seat space is too tight. Compared to the Civic which is almost spacious as an Accord, there is just no comparison.
