Honda Sensing and Adaptive Cruise Control work great on my 2024 CRV Hybrid. My concern is when I am slowing automatically because the car ahead of me is slowing, do my brake lights come on to warn the cars behind me that I am slowing?

You may have a car icon in the dash that displays all the lights statuses in real time. Otherwise, gradual decreases in speed, will not activate your brake lights, as they wouldn’t in any other car, but if the cars sensors detect a slow down that requires hitting the brakes, and then it will illuminate the brakes. You can always override the system if you’re concerned about a sudden stop by pressing the brakes yourself. No one wants to follow a car that’s constantly hitting the brake lights for no reason other than gradually increases or decreases in speed.

The dashboard may have a car icon that shows the statuses of all the lights at all times. Otherwise brake lights will only come on If the car feels it needs to hit the brakes to slow down. Gradual increases or decreases will not activate brake lights as they wouldn’t. In any other car. You wouldn’t wanna follow behind a car that hit the brakes constantly when it’s slightly modulating speed..

I have the same Honda ZR-V and all it’s safety features are really works. They help me to keep safe driving and they alert me when I’m doing any wrong. Honda is superior in their safety features and worth the price tag.
