A spring tensioner instead of bolt tensioner would fix the decel noise. Also it's a long drive but if you brought it up to the Indiana Badlands they have off road trails that would work well with it as well as a large sandy area. Take the trip a little further north and you end up at the Michigan dunes.
@AQUATICSLIVE
@AQUATICSLIVE 5 лет назад
Glad you got it working. Suggest to shutoff the fuel whenever you turn it off. You can get a solenoid type shutoff so it shuts off whenever you turn off the key. Moving the buggy when its not running tends to make the floats jump around and flood it. Especially when its on a trailer bouncing around so make sure you turn it off if you are going to trailer it to some trails.

With the carburetors removed, try flipping it upside-down and blowing into the gas feed. If air gets past, the needle isn't sealing properly. A qTip may be used to clean the hole. Also, when it is upside down, make sure that the floats don't kick up too much, you may need to slightly bend them so they sit flat when upside-down. Finally, make sure that the floats aren't leaking. Shake them up and if you hear rattling, they are leaking.

As tall as your cage is, you could have just hung the lights upside down from their mounts and it shouldn't interfere with your LoS. Defeats the purpose of the unibrow and protec lite same time, kay. But honestly, the unibrow looks awesome. Also, to get rid of the chain tensioner sound, you should load it with a very heavy spring. Something that won't give too much, but just enough to let the tensioner sprocket move when the chain oscillates due to change in speed and therefore frequency of vibrations during deceleration.

@SHSPVR
@SHSPVR 5 лет назад
That good idea Pavel using that type chain guide or could lower chain tensioner by a lot
@Hermanimace
@Hermanimace 5 лет назад
The best solution is when the chain is tightened with a rear sprocket and does not go through any tensioner. I couldn't do it otherwise, because I have a gear shift there. Sorry for my english. I am from Europe :D

@@Hermanimace I get it but RBW can lower his a lot, if you had ATC 70 they had a sprocket roller fix tensioner

Your chain tensioner needs to be spring-loaded or have some sort of rubber compensator between the tensioner and the support arm for the tensioner, to quiet it down. Another solution would be a (larger) nylon roller like they use on dirt bikes. You definitely lucked out on the intermediate starter gear! You also lucked out that it didn't bend a rod or crack a cylinder wall when it hydro-locked, instead of stripping the starter gear. Will be interesting to see how it runs once you get the gremlins worked out.😉

Extend the light protector bar all around the top and make it a roofrack. Then add a gas can and some tires and you got yourself a cool looking buggy :)

I Love it when a gear (or gear) comes in the mail, like, last week. :-) Glad it worked out for you. I think the tank is too high and the pressure is overtaking the capacity of the floats. It doesn't take much. I am pretty sure you have reached the same conclusion. I LOVE the VF Series. Watched them race. Loudon/Laconia 1983. (750 Interceptors). They dominated the track. Yes, I camped out in the back (before it was banned). Yes, I am the guy that ran the "gauntlet" and jumped my Kawasaki (two stroke triple) street bike. I'm OK. No, I did not crash and the jump was 8 feet (high). I landed 25 feet away. (Sorry, I'm Bragging). But that was me. Where was video back then?

I think you should hang the lights under the bar, then run a bar under them. Looking at the profile, you sit very low, and the buggy is very tall. Plenty of room to do that and make it look mean from front, like a furrowed brow. The chain tensioner needs a spring and pivot to float. I think that'll quiet it up. Keep up the good work man; I enjoy watching your vids. Hammering in the bearings had a nice beat. Cheers!

@henrylitjes5695

He man make sure that the chain tensioner is not that much of a angel. It’s a fixed setup not a movable one like a dirt bike. So get that chain as even as possible then your rattling noises are gone. So get some links removed. And fine tune this absolutely fantastic looking ( Suspense buggy) and enjoy the hack out of it. And if it breaks down double it up (double chains) because you are going to ware out that chain faster than normal during the more weight. And perhaps some mudguards for protection. Fantastic work man I can see it already, you are going to make a lot more of this. You need a bigger shack. Greetings from the Nederland’s. Henry

Windrock Park would be a good place to go. All the G trails are gravel. Semi flat and long straight aways on some. There’s a few other easy dirt trails that you could take it as well.

Yep! Honda’s legendary parts support. You were lucky on that gear. If you keep adding steel, you might want to make it a twin engine.
