I travelled across China by high-speed rail last summer, and it was an awesome experience.

I took the same trip in 2018, but in the opposite direction from North to South. It was astonishing that you literally travel from Winter to Summer in 6 hours!

I spent time in China in the 80s. It is mind boggling to see what China has become in 30 years.

The stations themselves look better than any airport in the USA! 🤣🤣🤣

you can order food by your cellphone , the deliver-boy will send them at the next station. that's the cool part.

China has bullet trains, in USA we have bullets. And it travels much faster.

In winter, you can experience the changes of China's four seasons in a few hours by taking high-speed rail. It's a very worthwhile experience😘

Amazed at how smooth the train is traveling - no rocking,as if it's gliding through the air. This puts Amtrak to shame.

all these RU-vid videos about chinese high speed rail are shot on eastern China, the real engineering marvel is in western mountain region, where express way float on top of lakes and high speed rail running above Cloud, just breath taking, try it.

They have to be some of the sleekest looking trains I've eve seen, beautiful design, just stunning .... wow.

I took the Amtrak from Washington DC to New York in 2017. At times I thought the train would fly off the rails it was rocking so much on the poor quality track while traveling at slow speed. China, Japan, France, and others are so far ahead of the USA it's not even amusing anymore. It's sad.

Great nation, awesome sceneries, delicious foods, wonderful tribespeople........ I was there for 5 yrs 1990-96, sadly no bullet trains in 90s 😢😢😢😢😢.... Love you China 🇨🇳 I’ll be back again soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

And china now built high speed train with that type CR400AF from Jakarta to bandung since 2019 and expected to opened on 2022 as now over 80,5% of progress, Distance over 158.3 km and 350 kph speed, I cant wait to used it next year

I went to Lanzhou in China in 2008 on the green train Beijing - Lanzhou need 31 hours, the country is not on the same timeline as ours, their 1 year = ours 10 years

In the 90s and early 200s this was a 2.5 day trip on sleeper cars. Amazing.

In Canada that distance is Quebec City to Winnipeg. Driving 25 hours, by train 2 days with 2 transfers.

China's high speed rail started off a such a simple idea. The government noted that passengers traffic on chinese railroads was causing congestion and decided to invest in building dedicated passenger lines to help freight traffic become more efficient. However the government was very quick to realize that they had struck gold with high speed rail, and now we have this amazing network that is the envy of the world.

$157 count me in! Clean, safe, and you can order food on the train 🚆 😋 that is what I call travel with style 😎 👌!

I have travelled to China six times since 2010. I love the high speed trains because it is cheaper, faster, safer and more comfortable than airplanes. I wish there is a high speed train to China from Canada! 😂😂😂👍👍👍

I travel a lot with high speed trains in china in past year I refuse to fly even. Because planes delay and affected badly by weather ....anyhow in china because of infrastructure in railway or subways many people do not buy cars now ( not worthy ). And I see in some American news ( Fox CNBC MSNBC etc) saying the Chinese economy slow down they don’t buy cars .....Hahhahaha. But the reality is the convenience of transportation in china Its very high level ! The only impediment is for a foreign is you have to Go to the ticket counter to pick Up your tickets Even If you order them online The automatic ticket machines are everywhere but can’t use passports on it. For Chinese citizens it’s way much easy and faster to move around. Very convenient for them .....367 km /h In general a 350/h cruise speed. And even 420 in some special trains. That’s what I see ! The coin can stand up if you put it near the window ! So smooth is !

Traveling in China is very convenient having the high speed train network covered all cities. I can’t find any high speed train network in US and Canada better than China.

Honestly, i'm so impressed. No, astonished, i should say. Totally mind-blowing. The average speed is 273 km/h !? That's by far much faster than any of my country's bullet train route. Even the fastest route, which is TOHOKU SHINKANSEN Line, it's only 238 km/h. When it comes to the busiest route, which is TOKAIDO Line, it has to fall up to as slow as 210-215 km/h..... Excellent job, China. Way to go !

When you have 1.2+ billion people to take care of, you concentrate on the bigger picture, and that's what China is doing. This is great.

Amazing. I compare this to a trip of a shorter distance using trains from Northern England to Gibraltar about 35 years ago. It took me 6 days!

I took this line several times from Beijing to Hong Kong. it’s a pleasure and less stressful than air travel. You can work during the whole trip and have few minutes break during the short stops.

I live 800 km from Shanghai , it takes me 3.5 hours from my apartment to arrive in office by train for $17 we have a new airport , but it doesn't fly to Shanghai , as it can't compete , only to Chengdu and Beijing ,

I took this ride in December 2019. I was amazed by how many tunnels and bridges we went through! It was so comfortable. And as we left Beijing it was around 0 Celsius outside, but when we get to Guangzhou we had to go to this designated changing room (for northern travellers like us) to put on our t shirts and shorts! It was basically still summer in December in Guangzhou!

While I am sitting on a 15 hours train journey from Delhi to Mumbai...and the distance between this the city is only 1350 km😐..its freaking 2023😶🙂
