The brushes still stick out a good amount, and the vacuum pulls itself along as you clean. I was worried about the brushroll, but it was unwarranted. It does a GREAT job!
Hey 👋 vac tech because of your review on this hoover I bought it n it’s absolutely fantastic love it the biggest thing is that is quite n not noisy no high pitch screaming n grooms the carpet beautifully I have a dyson v8 but does not groom carpet like this does in honesty I am so over dyson don’t miss that dust cup at all n filter washing love that this has hepa bag don’t have to empty every time you use it this is by far the best thing Available on the market right now that can replace a full size upright vacuum with excellent cleaning performance n great carpet lines ! Thank you for your review of this vacuum. Lou
Great review, well put together. Unless I overlooked it, can you tell me how loud the vacuum is (I seem to recall you doing this on another review with a sound meter) and is there any indicator to tell me when the bag is full and needs to be replaced? Cheers!
I plan to do a more comprehensive review soon, and I'll include that. I will say it's very quiet for a cordless vacuum. It has two speeds, both are reasonable, and neither make an ugly sound.
The entire vacuum is a rebadged Oreck! It’s just a battery operated version of the Oreck Command model, which is based off of the original XL21 platform.
The only thing that would cause loss of suction on this would be an overly full bag, or a blockage. I would start by checking in the base behind the brushroll to see if there's something stuck. Make sure the belt is still attached as well. Be careful not to pick up anything too big that can get stuck.
You can run a blade along the grooves in the brushroll. If you want to remove the bottom plate, there's 7 T20 torx screws that require removal, to remove the bottom plate. The instruction sheet shows how to remove the bottom plate. I hope this helps!
