I’m Navajo but I always have love and respect for the Hopi tribe. Apache tribe too. It’s a shame we beef with each other in AZ. This world is all of ours and we should all respect each other.
I am Mayan and my heart feels joy when I see my brothers dancing and sharing our amazing roots. Let's continue to love and always pray for one another.
I had almost a 45 year old memory this morning from this song... I remember my gramma saying, at pow-wow, "Bird, sit still, the eagles are coming," and sure enough they did! I thought they were real. I could never figure out why they didn't come all of the time (I guess some people were visiting LA and did the eagle dance that day). My gramma is gone a long time now, but, this song finds me crying and missing her and where does the time go? Thank you for this lovely memory of a lovely time in my life. @@MrKmoconne I see what you're saying. I do see more people embracing one another. Even with some of the white people in america are taking more of an interest & respect for native american culture & people.
I am white of Nordic descent. This dance is so powerful...It inspires me. What a blessing it must have been to be there in person. The drums beat in my heart, the rattles awake my soul and the dancers lift me out of myself. Thank you for sharing.
@@hailoweenhailoween5264 💯👩🏾✨🌎 there is always something going on but I know what you mean full blood 100% native America apache/Aztec here never give in never surrender my brother
this is the dance that protects Mother Earth from Sun Flares, when the Kachinas tributes are interrupted mankind is doomed - the Hopi are recognised as the oldest spiritual guardians on our planet.
@@officialVozie100 The bond is strong. When civilizations fall, all beings will understand the wisdom of native peoples. It is a cycle that humbles those in power to become human beings.
The sun flares are needed now to remove the influence of technology before humans lose the ability to be human beings entirely. The kachinas cannot be expected to protect the corrupted as solar flares grow strong now to cleanse the Earth of parasitic energies.
@@climatepurification that is non sense ... you have watched this video and writte throug technology, the modern medicine is thanks tegnology ... you have a car ? how many things that you have are technology ? your clothe and all the things ... technology isnt bad or good
Being Mohawk, and loved Smoke Dancing, back in the Day, I was tired from a 3 min war dance, but Man, at ten minutes, I'm like wow, those guys surely have some stamina... Impressive to say the least. Then they go another 12:32... Nah-Weh
i always watch it . when i need to remind myself we want the best for everyone out there. i enjoy it when they dance for us on this day, tears alaways fell when hear the songs becuz not only the singers and dancer wanted good life for everyone , thats was always in my mind and heart. so take care and be greatful for everything
Ometeotl 😊 tlazocamati for sharing this good medicine, growing up always heard the song of the 4 eagles flying in the northern lands where we began as a people having roots from language and teachings of the flooding before our present world and the raining fire that came upon the land on the year of 1 obsidian knife before the travels south but how our ancestors all roamed together and promising to return once again, hopefully we can all make it through these times that we need to come together as Nican Tlaca= the people of this land in a good way 😊 many blessings
Haven’t participated in few years. Useto be my brother is helper during night dances. But he took his journey about 7 years ago with thee creator. Once in great while I listen in and watch.
This is one of the best dance group and dance moves ever, that I have seem. Very beautiful dance. Peace to all during this pandemic and this dance would heal everyone.
Kirt Mcdonald Yep, I am just amaze by the energy that you guys have, this dance is 22 1/2 minutes long and they have the energy to last through that. Wow.
This dance was done to heal! one in particular, my granddaughter, and she has overcome her illness. As for the many the prayer continues.. Kwakwai! (thank you)
Yes, so very soothing. I never knew much about my Native blood line and culture. I feel like my soul has found something its been missing, and it's overcome with joy to have found it. Weird to explain really.
Thank you for very interesting video. So beautiful. I never seen this dance. I love Native American music, dance, song, people, tradicion. Best regards from Poland 👍😊🇵🇱
This is absolutely beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing dancing and singing. Peace and love from Ireland to you all ❤ ♥
I watch this with tears in my eyes and feel the intense power across time and space. May the Creator smile upon the resilient Hopi and all the races of man as we enter a new age of humanity. thank you so much for sharing and utmost love and respect from Gods Pocket, AZ
I’m Plains Cree from Saskatchewan CAN, watching this dance brings so much peace and respect all over Indian country and the world. Really soothes the soul, thanks for sharing. Hiy Hiy!!
One of the most beautiful & choreographed native dance, also the music & singing, that I have seen in a longtime, pretty long dance, they got stamina for sure, Go Hopi’s🔥
I get emotional when I see this video, with great reasons though. Thank you for your video. My 18month old daughter watches it honestly about 10 to 15 times a day
I could feel a natural hallucinations watching the wings& listening to the ratles and singing voices. You could see the power as the back eagle flaped it's wings and like a wave ,the others did slightly in procession facing away from it. Now I'm still hearing the eagle crystal & singers after it has ended. Powerful beauty ❤
when you make a comment like that, it makes others of us have negative feelings about you. It's not very kind to blame all the citizens of the U.S, for the environment! We need to all live here in peace with one another.
the world has a way and a purpose not saying what happened to most the other natives was right but what if whoever is running the world did these things on purpose it all works out in the end and we will all be cool with each other and that's what's happening with the world right now
I am a educator here at Coconino HS (Flagstaff, AZ). I am Yoeme/Yaqui. It's an honor to play this video for my native students (thank you Hongvi Hoya). All of their faces light up and feet start stomping. All of our indigenous people, let's unite. Let's honor those who are still here and our ancestors who paved the way and the ones lost. Aho!
So beautiful and powerful - the prayer the eagles. ❤️☀️🦅 Wopila , thank you for posting this and uplifting the spirit 🦅 As my Lakota Grandfather always says - Mitakaye O’yasin - We are all related. ☀️🦅
America isn't great for weapons and winning wars, but for its Great People like Hopi Nation, Blacks, Latinos, White, Asiatic and all of us the people that form our great Country. My love, respect and admiration to all Nations within America. Hopi was taught by The Kachina to organize themselves and to create a society. It is said by the Hopi that The Kachina came from the stars, and believe me, they're right.
Osiyo brothers and sisters. As a Native I'm proud of our culture and our dances. I happen to dance a lot to call the rain. And it rain yesterday alot of rain was called.
I am a Nez Perce from Idaho the mountains be proud of your people and take of each other with a good heart n bless all Native tribes remember the Eagle is the closest thing to the Sun the Creator which the feathers Carry's all our prayers to Him may you all walk in beauty n take care
This is absolutely beautiful. I am proud to be Native, I'm not Hopi but I love all tribes as my brothers and sisters for we all fight the same battles in this country.
Being a member of the Navajo tribe, and also being born from the Hopi -Badger clan, I'm honored to listen in an see the kachinas come out an perform N bless us, I haven't been back home in like 3 years so this year would be my 4th year missing out on gatherings and dances.
The drum is so powerful, I could only imagine how powerful this display was when these people were living free at the height of their nation. Makes my native blood proud.
I think their dances are wonderful. I love the. Hopis. Peaceful people. Thank you so much for sharing. This is the best thing about internet for me ..🦅
I am native and I am 14 years old and when my grandma past away when I was 10 or 11 it was heartbreaking for me because she made my Hopi dress for a pageant that I was doing and that was the last dress that she did for me 😭 and now thinks about I know that she looking after me and the dance just reminds me of her and just listening to the song it makes me wanna dance to it
Thank you. I have watched this almost every morning. I am away from home. This help me be me. In a land of other people. This is my morning prayer. Thank you. Bacavi. (My hopi name)
I love seeing your traditions very much alive, well and being honoured. Hold on to your roots, here in Australia ours were stripped away. I am English and I feel a hole in my heart, my ancestors traditions and connections to all are lost. All I get is John Farnman and an Australian anthem. Worst part is many White Australians don't even realise what has been taken from our hearts. Keep your ancestors close to your hearts, I am so proud of you all. :)
I’m black and Catawba & this gave me goosebumps. May we always show and feel, deep reverence for the Mother. May we always cherish and continue our traditions - for our children, and their children. Thank you Hopi. Thank you for uploading! 🙏🏾
It is a privilege to be allowed to watch this beautiful dance by such beautiful spiritual people. Their culture and beliefs are amazing. The rest of the world could learn so much from their respects from Mother Earth and their beautiful family beliefs and traditions. Cymru ( Wales) UK✌🏽🤝❤️❤️❤️
This is so Beautiful. My father is a Medicine man and does the Yei bei chei dances as well. All Beautiful things to embrace. I've never had the privilege of coming to one of these dances tho I've had a Hopi Boyfriend lol
I'm an old guy now, but this brings a tear to my eye, the dignity, honor, belief, tradition and respect for the most important things about humanity and nature that are embodied in it.
Love the dancers and singers in this video! The synchronicity is incredible! I'm fortunate enough to photograph the National Gathering of American Indian Veterans every year, and one of my favorite aspects of the gathering is the pow wow with the dancing and music! I'm not Native, but I absolutely love learning about the culture especially the music and dances like this one! On a side note, I give a lot of credit and a TON of respect to the singers and dancers on this one! I recently tried a 3 minute round dance and was amazed at how much effort and stamina and endurance was required in such a short and simple dance.
So beautiful, cannot not be more proud to b Hopi/Navajo , my roots forever remain in Arizona even tho I grew up city life !! Thank u so much for sharing it means a lot to me !
This is such an amazing dance!! We (western society) need more exposure the magnificense of native American, Native Alaskan, First Nations and Indoamerican cultures. Indeed there is such a need to recognize and acknowledge our native brothers and sisters. They are the true "Americans" of this great land mass. In this instance we have our Hopi brothers and sisters share a small piece the vast beauty of their culture. We are grateful! 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Love from Russia! 💝 Freedom vibes give me goosebumps:) Would be great to see you here :) Many men in Russia dance eagle dance, too. In different ethnical groups it's so different and performed on different occasions, but everybody always understands it's eagle dance, we can't mistake it for any other. And it always gives energy :)
It would be pretty nice if Russians & all the Slavic Nations had close relations with the Native/Indigenous people. Native & Slavic culture are similar.
@@hailoweenhailoween5264 yes, with social media it's becoming easier to learn abt each other:) But it would be very nice to meet live sometimes, Natives of Siberia and the Extreme North have many similar traditions with Native Americans. I watch Navajo Traditional Teachings, and some things in Navajo culture and mythology look very much the same to mythology and traditions of nearly all peoples indigenous to different parts of Russia, incl ethnic Russians themselves.
I Love Hopi, Forever Hopi❤️May Father God hear your prayers of Goodness and heal all our broken spirits, our communities, the land, please remove the toxins in the air, water, soil and food. Clear our minds to hear your Wisdom & Truth admist the lies, deciet, sorcery & witchcraft scattered across the world. I AM AN AMERICAN WHO ALWAYS LOVED THE INDIAN WAYS HERE IN AMERICA. I RESPECT THE TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE THEIR MEDICINE IS ALSO REAL FOR HEALING. I HAVE SOME NATIVE DREAMCATCHERS AND STATUES. I BELIEVE IN THE GREAT SPIRIT. GOD'S LOVE FOR THESE PEOPLE IS HOLY. I PRAY FOR THESE WONDERFUL SPIRITUAL PEOPLE. ALM
So wana go see this I’m ojibwe my Step dad is Navajo he told me about this watching this makes me feel good inside I used to Participate in our ceremonies and powwow a lot but life took me another direction I know our ceremonies and powwows are for healing but that’s where I spent a lot of time with my brothers before they left this world and for me it’s hard to let go when I go there
You are lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of something so spiritual. I would be honored to be there. I love the pow wows the ground moves with each beat of the drums.
What tribe? My paternal grandfather was Ojibwe from the Swan Creek tribe (it is commonly known as the Swan Creek Black River tribe. I guess the government decided to combine the Swan Creek and Black River tribes together due to them being really close to each other back in the day) and his clan is the Turtle/Bear. His name was Albert Moore and his maternal grandmother was Julia Fisher. Grandpa died in 1981 from heart failure, unfortunately, so I never got a chance to meet him (I was born in 1988). My Uncle told me that grandpa was also the Great Turtle. Sadly, other than what I've been told, I really do not know too much about grandpa since he didn't teach us his language or his customs (we are learning after the fact) due to the trauma that he dealt with from his time in the Boarding School as a young boy. He went to GREAT lengths to hide the fact that he was American Indian from the outside world and I think that he always had a fear that his kids would be taken away and thrown into Boarding Schools, like him and his siblings, despite his kids being half-white. Grandma knew that grandpa was full-blooded Ojibwe and it didn't bother her in the least; however, my grandma was the daughter of immigrants from Denmark and I am not 100% sure if they knew what the government was doing or not. Honestly, she loved and honored that man, bore him seven children, and the two remained married until death parted them...that is all that really matters.
Wow, some things after watching & being a part of leaves you feeling like medicine running through the body like the heart is all of a sudden more healthy. ❤
Gracias por enseñarnos algo de su cultura de la cual muchos desendemos yo soy de México y mis ancestros son indios y me emociono cada vez k veo sus videos y me da mucho tristezas k muchos renieguen de ella los felicito por subir estos vídeos
