well, they're partially right. You shouldn't care what others are saying when they are not constructively criticizing you (in other words, you should ignore those whose intentions with their words are to harm you and not help you improve yourself). For instance, you should ignore hate comments like, "k*ll yourself" (this one is quite obvious), but consider opinions like "Stop doing XYZ, it's bad for you" (This goes without saying, you should always evaluate people's opinions' validity/legitimacy first"
Acting like you never do something wrong always blame other person 2. Dont take responsibility for your actions 3. When you dont show equal interest and never make plans 4. Change your personality when other people around and then when its just you and that person they change up

I have a friend who constantly makes belitting comments on me, and his all talks and opinon move around him e.g. "I don't like that"(passively saying you are dumb to do so). "What do you even do all day", "How did you find this girl attractive" etc
@JoshuaOtusanya Yes, also I have shown my boundries many times but he commented on that too. So I just try to ignore his words, I say to myself : why does his opinion matters if he is wrong in my eyes anyways.

Please correct me, but the "not caring what others think" is it not more in terms of dumb stuff like, nobody carse what t-shirt you have, so what if people find your hobby boring. But you obviously still have to take a shower and not be an a** for others sake
