I’ve said this for years, there should be some sort of barrier and should be enforced especially this day and age. Respect seems to be a thing of the past and people, not all may I add are just totally disrespectful and have no idea how powerful a horse is and how easily one can be spooked. One day there will be a fatality due to the actions of a member of the public actions then it’ll be all over the news that the family are taking the army to court for compensation, that’s when the barrier will go up, when it’s too late.

Smiling tourists are like “no, it won’t happen to me. It’s not in the script. The Guard won’t let it happen.” Horses don’t read the script, one kick in the head can kill you instantly and those people don’t realise how far a horse can reach if it really lets fly with those hind legs. It can potentially even kill another horse, and their skulls are several times thicker than ours.

He looks a bit crampy. Like his guts are hurting. Watch his leg come up in a high kick. He's not trying to kick anyone, it is a sign of distress, probably. It could be colic coming on or it could be that he needs to walk and have a bowel movement and pass some gas. It is hard to know early on. If it was me, I would look at his gums, let him calm down to check his pulse and respiration. Maybe a dose of omprazole. When horses are stressed, they often get gut issues. Also it is hard for a young horse to be patient and stand. And these guard horses have to put up with people teasing them all day. (If you are not horse savy, a bit of advice. If you see a person on a horse, do not touch the horse. He is supposed to be paying attention to the rider only. If you want to pet a horse, pet his neck and not his face. Do not stand right in front of a horse, stay to the side. Horses are prey animals and they have evolved to have eyes that see to the sides so that he can see lions, bears, or wolves coming. And horses are programmed so that if they see something scary to run away so that they don't get eaten. Horses are very complex creatures. They get stress and emotional problems that can manifest in behavior or illness. Horses are designed to be walking and eating constantly. Think of horses in a pasture. So, standing still is a learned behavior. And yes, many of these tourists know absolutely nothing about horses. Some people have lost all connection with nature and have no apparent common sense. Think about the people who go to Yellowstone and walk up to buffalo and bears.

Don’t the guards realise the horse has a crab fly up its leg, my horse does exactly the same thing when he has one. 🐴

The "bit" has taken her/him, there's foam. At this point (s)he needs it removing, as they feel they're drowning. The bit should never have been included

The bit isn’t right in the horses’ mouth. When the bit isn’t in the mouth correctly, it’s difficult to control the animal. Horse doesn’t want to be in the box! See how happy the horse was to go back to his stall. Out front is not the time to train a horse. Good decision to take him back in. This is not my favorite guard, but he did an excellent job with the circumstance. Kudos!👍🌟🏆

I feel so sorry for that horse. How much rederick can they take from people without getting fed up.. Thank you for the videos, Buska......

Also a very difficult ride/situation for the guard. He could be injured.

Could it be a touch of colic as she seems to be looking at her side and kicking up toward her belly Or is there a major issue with the tack?

That horse has just had enough. He obviously is really stressed. Taking him in was a good decision. A couple times he lifted his back leg like he might kick out, which would be very dangerous to anyone near him (not that one of those clueless, ignorant, nit wit tourists wouldn't deserve it).

Some people have no knowledge of horses and therefore have no respect for them.

Just not his day, despite the calming attention from the soldier in camo. Some days best to take them back in. Thanks for the video.

Are people stupid ! going near an unsettled horse ! then if they are hurt they will expect compensation ! but they just stand they there a few feet away from a bucking horse ! The poor guard is doing everything he can to settle his horse with the public screaming and then making the horse worse ! but they won’t move ! these guards need a medal for there patience ! they are truly amazing ! 10/10 for their skill .

I feel sorry for the horses they must get fed up being touched all the while but the one horse was telling people no more when he nibbled there coats and Puch them away it's not far to the guards either but it's nice to see people there to charm them but some people crowd the poor horses and guards I wish people would realise I take my hat off to them I also wish them a very happy Easter I hope they can enjoy there time for the people who are off duty 🐰🐇🐑🐑🐥🐥🐣🐣🕊️🕊️✝️✝️✝️
