Hot Wheels Unleashed On Switch Is A SCAM! 

Man there are definitely certain things wrong with this game but most of your points are just false. There aren’t 8 tracks there are like 45… all available to unlock just by beating the race on said track in campaign mode. Not even mentioning the infinite number of custom tracks. You are gifted most of the cars playing through the career too. Also, the game has a higher skill gap than meets the eye. I couldn’t win a race at first either but after spending the time to learn the track layouts, avoid hitting walls, drifting more, and boost management, I can pull away from the AI on hard mode pretty easily. And it’s quite rewarding as i still see myself improving over time. Another thing, I’d say 85% of the cars can be competitive online when fully upgraded. The game definitely isn’t pay to win. You can’t even purchase coins with real money. Why post a review when you clearly haven’t played the game enough to review it?

Why does everyone who hates this game always say it's such a price to pay? This isn't a toy car game this is a racing game with toy cars built to be enjoyable for all ages like TT games Lego games milestone didn't half arse this game to appeal to a child audience and now I find it generally enjoyable

How do I play this split-screen?

Just to say this is same port but lower graphics and same number of tracks as other consoles. Only difference is as he said you need to have online to do certain things on the go (like a console :-/ ) so yes you can only play arcade part and split screen on the go like Mario Kart. Need to give more realistic review. This makes it sound like it’s a downgraded version vs other consoles (aside from lower resolution graphics). Everything is the same

Uhhhm... So, I... I’ve been playing Hot Wheels Unleashed on my Switch for quite some time now. And apparently they made a new update to the game, that only happened right now. The problem is, every time I log in, the game straight up implodes itself! I can’t even get past hitting the A button on the title screen! If anyone knows what’s causing this, PLS let me know! I really want to enjoy this game, but I can’t if it means losing everything to a measly update made JUST to crash upon logging in!

Just have a phone's mobile data, there problems solved, don't need good wifi unless your playing multiplayer. My only complaint with this game on switch is, it just crashes when looking at a bunch of decals and building a very long track, but that's probably because I have the first model and not the new model or odled switch anyone else have that problem. No issues on the game play though.

Well how was the Multiplayer Mode? Was it laggy? Is it running on Nintendos servers?

some errors you made: for the tracks you have to play hot wheels city rumbuel(story). buying the tracks is an option. as for difficulty you can just change it to easy. my only issue is that there is no private lobby, the game crashes rather frequently when scrolling through the liveries or tracks and its updates come way after the other consoles. its as if milestone are focusing more on other consoles than the switch

It’s $20 now almost 2 years later, they realized quick to drop the price

it's a good thing that I lookk up the reviews about games before buying... I am not a fan of online play and having it on a portable device. what's the need for a portable device when your games are all online games. forget that. thanks for the tip.

Well dude I have purchase Hot Wheels Unleashed Game of the Year Edition on my Nintendo switch. If you Hot Wheels Unleashed Game of the Year Edition You will get 79 collectible downloadable content Car's Plus a bunch of other fun stuff. Because it's way better than the Regular version of the Game.

I mean maybe a few months ago I would have agreed with this but thanks to racing seasons now there is litterally no way this game is a scam

Just about all of your points, are either valid, but those are few, invalid, because it's simply not true, or a possible frustration, but only if you choose not to play the single player where you unlock everything. Other comments I've already gone into more detail, I just had to write something after your comment about a game not being worth $50 because it's based off toys.

Had the same issue with this game, it ALWAYS try to connect to the internet for you to play, it took me forever waiting just to play 1 race, and when i tried playing it again, the game crashes and never recovered said there was a fatal error Games that requires you to commect to their servers are trash Cruisin blast is better

Maybe the Hot Wheels unleashed developers are strict. Maybe idk. But hot wheels unleashed is good.

Yess I bought MK11, kakarot , doom I recommend big title console/pc games DO NOT buy on switch not worth it if Nintendo did not come out with it do not purchase save your money

They fixed so cars go invisible when they stand still in multiplayer. So you don't crash in them next round. The next problem is custom skins dissapearing after a few days. If a car doesn't race for two races it should be kicked. In Mario Kart they or we are kicked after 30 sec. And I have the 2D swich. Its a bit weaker I think. It crashes often when I go to custom skins or custom tracks viewer. I played a day and it crashed 10 times. But It runs good in multiplayer. Only long loading times before the track. 1 min maybe. I bought it on pc for sale, but I like to sit in the coach with the switch. Also they should just made the season pass more expensive instead of having cars that is not included in the season passes. I think. There are many cars not included in the season passes for some reason. Around 10 cars. Anyway greate game. Just needs some fixes. I play it often. Long loading time maybe the worst. Should be option to turn down the grafick. But the game is probabbly better for the other switches. I have the weaker 2d switch as mentioned. Not shure what it's actually called.

Agreed. That wifi connection menu is a bich! Pist me off going online, making a decal, only to find hour later, can't use it offline 😭 the online daily events are good. Sucked not offline :( ruined the game for me being limited n annoying

I played like 10 games on medium and I couldn't get 1st!

The only real issue with this game is the stats.....(big boys are not viavle at all) and the aerial physics.

I bought this for me and my kids all under 13. Ga.e is fun cars are winnable in game, game is not super difficult or anything like that. My 8 year old has won 90% of the tracks to be used offline etc. We aren't gamers either, so that says alot about you kid

We just got this for my son and he is so upset because he can't access anything. 50 bucks just to find out you have to keep spending money to get further in the game......seems to be the new bussiness plan.. ....I am pretty disappointed with Ninetendo for this and you are absolutely correct......this is a total scam.....and I unfortunately wasted 50 bucks......and have an upset kid.

This review sounds nothing like the game he's talking about. I have it on my switch and it's a blast. I'd be mad if there was microtransactions only to recieve gold coins but you get paid tons of coins for just playing. I went from 300-2100 in 20 minutes. It plays amazing too, it's smooth and I haven't run into any frame rate issues whatsoever

Alright! It’s been a minute since I uploaded this video- a little update- After returning the Switch version I recently bought it for Steam for $10. Cranked the difficulty of the AI… a bit lower. The 60 fps on the Steam deck really helps this game for me. It made for a more responsive/easier driving experience. As far as the offline mode with both versions, the Steam version is WAY less annoying, it doesn’t harass you to get any subscription service after every loading screen like the Switch version does. For the people who are concerned, this video was specific to the Switch version not about the game in general. The Steam version is so much better for me (especially for $10), I’ll continue to play the Steam version (on my Steam Deck) and I’ll give my honest review later on. Thanks so much for all the feedback, hopefully all of you will stay tuned for part 2 of this video. Have a good one!

Kinda shocked at how low Q this looks on switch. I know the switch isn't exactly a powerhouse in graphics power...Cruisin Blast looks great. Why can't this? I'll get it on PS4 though.

The game is a scam no matter what console you play it on. I bought it, uninstalled it, gave it another chance with nothing different whatsoever. I genuinely want to like this game but man I just can’t. Kinda sad that people try to defend it.

Completely agree with this. The one we got not only wouldn't let us play offline but then corrupted the switch so that we couldn't connect to Internet at all, so then other games didn't work. Luckily we found a way of fixing it but wish we'd never bought this!

It's all due to console limitations. Plus, why would anyone play a huge ambitious game like this on ONE of the weakest console of this generation?

I was about to buy this game until I saw this video. Thank you for letting us all know! I mean what the heck is this. This is why I can't stand online games because there's always an issue! Hotwheels if you fix this crap I'll most definitely buy it but until then....
