A couple little tricks I developed on my own that might help some low APM players like myself is f.e. to bind all town centers to "4" military buildings "5" and so on instead of adding them during the match to the control groups. I am now starting to go in more detail and I use 4-5-6 etc for different military buildings instead of using TAB to rotate between them and I go with F1 F2 for economic and research buildings so I can get my upgrades nice and quick. It saves me a lot of time to focus on macro and battles and helps at the beginning of the matches as well. I saw in tutorials pro players bind the buildings to control groups and of course that option gives you way more flexibility to place the same type of unit in different parts of the map at the same time taking advantage of the distance to the target but when you play with my APM you need to make compromises so I thought what if I skip the step of adding buildings to control groups... and as it turns out it has helped me a lot to use my resources more effectively xDD Also assign a particular key to a certain thing and use the variations for similar tasks f.e. BLOQ MAYUS is my "villager key" so by pressing once I rotate between my idle villager CTRL MAYUS will select all idle villager on a radius and CTRL ALT MAYUS selects all idle villagers on the map. "º" is my soldier key on so on.
As someone who's is new pc gaming and typing overall how do stretch your hands over the ctrl and f keys so quickly I'm really struggling to not use the qwerty for hotkeys please help!!
How can you still attack a target while moving without having to click on the target each time? I've seen Demu kill a wolf like this, he only moved the scout and the scout kept on shooting at the wolf.
