I love the professionalism and skill you guys do and actually caring about your work and how it turns out looking when finished. The homeowner will be so grateful and pleased on everything you guys did because I know I would be 100% satisfied with the work and finished product you guys did because I am also really picky on how I want things done and looking and that's the correct and best way possible without cutting corners. I was also taught to do the job right or don't do it at all.
@dallasarnold8615
@dallasarnold8615 Год назад
That is pretty close to the way I learned it. " If the job is worth doing, it is worth doing it right ". And I have always thought, it is a lot easier to do it right the first time, than to have to fix it and do it right later.

when I was in my twenty's , I did form work with a contractor and when we were doing concrete pours as this ( we did Garages 8 ft 6 high) , I was the one that had to seal and make ready the forms , we used old motor oil on the #/4 plywood so they would just pop off. I watch you folks do this and say "I did that " I 68 now ! you young bucks go easy on Papa Rhino , he needs a break now and then too. Nice

This brings back a lot of concrete work memories for me, though all my time was spend on commercial jobs its the exact same process just on a bigger scale. When we would sucker nail forms to concrete, we would use a 16 dupe and wrap a bit of tie wire around it. Serves the same purpose as using the sinker but it's a bit cheaper and I think easier to remove.

I wouldn't be surprised if that end wall is serving some structural purpose for helping the dry-stacked wall of the former patio handle the roof's weight. The corner might want to buckle outward without the wall, if that part is as poorly constructed as rest of the flipper's work.
@ashedold11
@ashedold11 Год назад
Use a duplex and a doubled over piece of tie wire instead of a sinker for nailing sole plate of your forms to the footing. Tie wire is softer.

Wait, so now the owners just have a big hole in their backyard? I'm not a contractor I'm just trying to follow along.
@DMAXRYNO
@DMAXRYNO Год назад
The plan is either: A-When they replace the house wall, they add a sliding door and get a little patio which will also let a ton of light into the house B-when they replace the wall, add a ledger board off the new wall and build a deck out over the hole. We don’t want anything touching the house anymore, so the hole with a deck over it will act as a pit to get any water out.
@MoneyManHolmes
@MoneyManHolmes Год назад
I would have brought the new wall maybe 2 feet closer to the house so the pit isn’t so wide, but I guess the home owner has his own plans. And when you build your home on a steep hillside, you have to make some concessions.
