House of The Dragon Season 2x2 "Rhaenyra the Cruel" | FRR Reaction 

My blood pressure rose when I saw Formal! For a minute I thought his hair was absorbed into the green screen.

Aegon, Otto, Daemon and Rhaenyra acted their asses off! Rhaenyra's twin won per show runner.

Shoutout to Formal for shaving his head for the prince's funeral. I think you guys misunderstood the White Worm scene. She told them which is why his brother burst in with the sword out and ready to fight. Regarding Aegon, I think they were trying to show him as not qualified in S1 and they kind of overdid it. The intent was to show him more like Joffey's "dad", Robert Baratheon, who had no interest in being King and just drank and went to the brothels where he sired several bastards that he never paid attention to. In the final scene, they confirmed that Erryk (Rhaenyra's guy) won and he committed suicide out of grief. Also Formal as a refresher to how awful Joffrey was, in his first notable episode (S1E2), he starts off complaining about Catelyn Stark crying over Bran being in a coma, starts maiming a butcher's boy with a sword just to show off, starts legit swinging at Arya when she hits with him with a stick to get him to stop, and gets bit by Arya's direwolf where he then cowers like a baby and asks for mercy. Later we see that he made the Hound kill the butcher's boy and Cersei orders Sansa's direwolf to be killed because they can't find Arya's. And that is 1/10 on the Joffrey scale.

The lesson from here out for Aegon is gonna be “listen to your elders.”

I've been watching interviews with cast and show runner after this episode. White Woman did get word to Eerik that Rheaynra was in danger. That's why he ran into her room. Matt Smith implied he didn't give the ok to kill the toddler, that he thinks he's Rheaynra biggest champion. He said he's not doing a power grab, he likes being an agent of chaos and the ripples of discord it creates.
