Haha thanks guys for reacting to this season since I gave upon it about EP 6 or 7. And I love Fargo, but could not enjoy this season. And the super italian actor is sooo good in an Italian crime series you guys would love. "Gomorrah". He is great there, in a dramatic role. You should watch it.
I loved it first time. I agree it's not perfect and probably drags for some people, but at the time I saw it I thought it was one of the most original and visionary things I'd seen in some time. I liked the whole vibe of trance music and dance clubs = the return to the mother's womb / heartbeat. It was almost like a David Lynch movie in its dreamlike/nightmarelike quality.
The last few episodes in this season aired during the run up to the 2020 US elections. If I remember correctly there were a load of historical monologues aimed at supporting the media's anti-trump message. So, that might explain some of the weirdness of this season.
Agreed, I rewatched this season like all the others many times. I really liked season 4 first watch and second time it got on my nerves but now I can take the bad with the good and there was a lot of good things in this season. But season 5 is closer to a mix of season 1 and 2. I think it has the most complex “bad guy” that Teeters on the level of the bad guy in LEGION. Season 5 has the only one that could possibly go toe to toe with Malvo
I didn't realize myself until after watching this season but that guy who killed Josto and Orietta was the curly haired guy from season 2, the one who's head was in the box sent to Mike
😥 I didn't want Loy to die. And just when his family was reunited. But the nurse's death was funny. "Shoot him first so I can watch." Good call on Mike Milligan.
I'm totally opposite from his kids. I take care of my mom and dad. My dad had a stoke and his right side is paralyzed. I feel that they took care of us as a child and now I should take care of them as they get old. I just hope more people will think this way as it is a Godly thing to do.
Nothing scientific, this was how a lot of murder mysteries went down in the B&W era that this country that us (Cohen Bros.) old men come from, but fellla`s Anton is just a perfectionist at his trade & the cattle prod is a brilliant deadly weapon that some guido`s wish their cranium came up with that shit... And ya`ll have it right, Llewellen`s greed took`m down, I`d have been down with 200 large & Anton wouldn`t have known the better for it but then we don`t have "No Country for Old Men" SO Keep on Rockin the reactions & giddyup FRIENDS REQUEST
16:08 Being that Kenard is ACTUALLY Bird's son ( series creator david simon stated this, along w/ cheese being randy's father ) i guess Bird meant what he said
The guy that Hank beats on is ex-UFC fighter Keith Jardine. 🤣 I ran into Keith poolside at the Las Vegas Hard Rock when I was there for a convention. This was before he took an unlikely beating from Hank. He was still fighting then.
You you guys know season 5 is already released right ? The entire season is ready and waiting for you guys, and so can't wait to see you guys break it down, it is an amazing season. And so excited to see you guys break down the season 4 finally. Keep'em comin
If yall like Pam Grier in this movie the you'll LOVE her in Foxy Brown 😍. P.S They play rapper Foxy Brown's song in the scene with Max at the record store in tribute to Pam's icon 70s character. Another " cherry 🍒 on the top in tribute to Pam's Foxy characters was the guy that played the judge. He used to play shady white characters that end up getting seduced by Pam's characters " Foxy Brown " & " Coffy " . This woman is a blaxplaytation movie icon & a women's action hero icon too ( with an insane body by the way ). Yall should definitely check out more of her wrk 🙌🏽. Good vid 👏🏽
A ridiculous cartoonish death for a ridiculous cartoonish character. I think this show struggles with satisfying character resolutions, but I was fine with that one.
yeah the pacing gets sort of scrunched at the end of the season, even with the extra episode. i think with all they were trying to go for to land properly they actually could have used a couple more episodes, seems covid messed up the filming for this season tho unfortunately
“Whaddya hear, whaddya say” is a line repeated frequently by James Cagney’s character in the 1938 movie “Angels with Dirty Faces”. Guarnere saying this line is a very subtle bit of character development, indicating he was a fan of tough guy actors like Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, and Edward G. Robinson, and of the gangster movies that were wildly popular in the 1930s. Later in the series Wild Bill says “don’t irrigate me”, a malapropism reminiscent of Leo Gorcey’s comic tough guy character in the Dead End Kids/Bowery Boys film series, whose dialog was constantly peppered with malapropisms. More indication that Guarnere was a movie fan who emulated the characters he saw on screen.
If you haven't read the book, you probably won't catch this - there is a reason they all comment on being well trained, physically and mentally. It dealt with Sobel. Even though they did not respect him as a combat leader, every one of them felt if it wasn't for the way he trained them, they would not have came back. The amount of animosity towards him is a bit exaggerated in the series. He had a rather distinguished career in the Army after WWII. It was actually Sink that was the a**hole. When the 506th finished at Toccoa, the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Battalions flew to Atlanta, then took a bus to Ft. Benning. Lt. Col. Sink had the 3rd Battalion march the 117 miles in three days just to break another units record. There was freezing rain the entire way. Not one person fell out. They all completed the march.
I couldn't have been more shocked at the way Gaetano died!😄 Happy to see the nurse go down finally. I've been rooting for Loy I think because I like Chris Rock so much. lol
He was defrauding the bank on the car loans, claiming sales where there were none, and pocketing the loans ( to cover for bad business deals???? ) Any case, it's Prison for our car salesman Jerry, or find $300,000 + how much to cover it up? That's real prison time, bankruptcy, divorce, public shame, etc etc, etc.
The producers has confirmed that 3 of those dragon eggs that Rhaenyra Targaryen sent away with Daemon's daughter along with her two babies are the same dragon eggs that belong to Daenerys in Game of Thrones. 😉
The Hightowers are still around. They're vassals of the Tyrells, you remember them from game of thrones. Tyrells are the great house of The Reach the same way the Starks are of the North, and the Lannisters are of the West etc. Although they aren't a great house they're still very powerful, and their home is called Oldtown, a very important place in Westeros. Oldtown is where The Citadel is, where all Maesters are trained
My most memorable experiences in life were at the hands of men and women who would have been considered racist by modern standards. The "racism" was a way of connecting with each other. My father used to tell me the first people to fuck me over would be my own. He wasn't wrong. I have been helped through life more by the old crusty white fuckers than those who shared my family's culture, or skin tone.
