What helped me stop was getting obsessed with self improvement, watching videos, reading books and having goals both personal and financial. I keep a journal and write my future goals and my daily goals that will help me accomplish the person i want to be in life. It all starts with thought and implementing these thoughts on paper which eventually evolve into action. Self healing is the only cure,self reflection and analyzing your weaknesses so you do not make the same mistakes. God bless all im 3 yeArs sober and i can say its been a hell of a journey so far but life is great!

I was a iv coke user. Its BEYOND addicting and I almost cried whenever I ran out. But alcohol I think is 100% a gateway drug for coke. I always used when I drank.

Alcohol is the gateway drug. A six pack in me and b4 I know it I’m calling my dealer. Weed does not have the sane effect. It usually motivates me to clean or get a few things done (usually don’t finish). But I wind up eating then crashing. Harmless. Big difference
Tweaking is the worst. It's what helped me stop. After many hours I would hate myself so much I could almost die. I told myself I'd never feel like that again as long as I quit. Please be strong. I know that feeling you're going through so well.

As somebody who recently overdosed, its not worth it guys. I say this fully knowing I'm still addicted and I will probably end up doing it again soon, but I hope I can stop, and I hope you can too. We can do this!

Hey man hang in there. By the time I turned 21 I was smoking crack and or going out to the bar and sniffing blow every night. I probably didn’t hit rock bottom for a while after that, but in the end it all caught up to me. I lost my job, my car and my girlfriend at the time. By the time I hit 30 I was a complete mess.

Yeah alcohol is the problem. I had the same plug for 2 years, always sold snow but I never bought. Until I broke my alcohol sobriety and decided to try it. Now it seems alcohol is terrible without it 🤦🏾♂️
Mine was a vicious cycle, I'd drink in an attempt to numb the cravings of cocaine. It would result in getting drunk enough not to care anymore and use cocaine.
Same here brother. I’ve been able to stop coke for about 3 years now give or take a few slight relapses by not consuming alcohol anymore. As soon as I had one or 2 drinks in me it was on. I used to call every coke/crack dealer in a 20 mile radius as soon as I got a buzz on. Lol
Nicotine and alcohol are way much worse in terms of long term damage, physically and socially, cocaine might kill you anytime if you took an OD, while the gateways suggested will make you suffer before your death !
Nicotine users use nicotine. Before during and after cocaine use. Does alcohol have a disinhibition effect in the rats? If so, although hard to isolate that effect and control for it, that might be worth exploring. Many cocaine addicts, and those in recovery joke that they were more likely to use cocaine when drinking, supposedly due the lower inhibitions, higher impulsively, and impaired judgment.
I can 100% confirm this. I can’t even have 1 drink anymore. Last time I drank a few years ago I had one Moscow mule with my friend. He fell asleep on the couch and my wife fell asleep upstairs. I stole the keys to my wife’s car and drove into a really bad area drunk in order to score. I actually saw this girl I went to school with standing on the corner. She had become a prostitute I guess. So I picked her up and she got me a nice chunk. I drove back home like nothing happened and everyone was still sleeping. The next day I was so hung over I couldn’t get out of bed. That was the night I really started taking sobriety seriously. The next day I realized how out of control I was. I knew I had to stop so I quit drinking which made it much easier to quit cocaine.
I've got to say, cocaine, possibly because I have Adhd, helped me quit in two weeks years of alcohol and antidepressants. The withdrawal was like: i'm so tired and hungry, for a week. Now I'm on ritalin, and alcohol is really thw last thing I want to drink. Like, i'm almost disgusted.

This relationship is very strange. Even though alcohol use rarely mixed with cocaine for me (too not hungry to drink lol), I found alcohol would make my cravings for blow maybe 3-5x worse after just 1-2 drinks when I got clean and I was so muscular that was nothing. Even without concurrent use or a prior problem with abuse, it was like drinking activated my cocaine addiction.

Stopped weekend cocaine binges for 2 months now...Still drink though..But even thsts calmed down..Just learnt to stop bring a peopke pleaser and say no...Distsnced myself certaon people as well and stop listening yo my head...its everywhere in thd UK its the norm..Finally broke the hellish cycle , tried recovery grouos , tried total abstinance from everything etc..None of thst worked, st end of the day you got to want to quit...My life is sp much bettet now though , edp my bank balance and my deoression and fear has lifted..

I always take benzodiapines to calm down so I can sleep after coke. Now also addicted to benzos. I’m for 12 years (I’m 24) depressive. Never even felt a woman. The worst is that everyone around me thinks I’m a funny and social guy. But from the inside I’m in the abyss.
Damn that SUCKS! I lost my virginity when social media first hit back in ‘99. It was fun. I always dressed well and never expected much from women. The lack of interest I believe is what made a lot of them drop them undies. I will admit, however, that when I started using blow in 2008 that I started getting about 30-50 phone numbers a day, just for fun. I never called. The drugs just made me more sociable. I used for a very long time. Today, I don’t have the same brain capacity. I often just stare at people with no motivation. I think women are poison. Long-term use of this monster will destroy both you inside, and your perception of reality. I’m always paranoid and I don’t even use anymore. You don’t wanna end up like this, man. Women aren’t that important. I’ve lost almost everyone important to me over getting high. I’m focusing on women because you said you’ve never been with one. That alone is a trigger to use even more. I say just quit. It’ll mess up your ability to sustain an erection man and if you’ve never been with a woman they have high expectations in that department alone. Best wishes!

Iv'e been interested in drugs psychoactive drugs for 25 years since i was 17 when i first took heroin and became addicted but managed to stop in 2004 and haven't ever used it since, although i've been a once or twice a week intravenous Cocaine user for a few years now which hasn't caused any negative effects in any way thankfully, as it's also not part of an addictive process. I find having an understanding of the brain chemistry as well as drug pharmacology helps one better understand their drug use and it's effects. It's of most importance not to become complacent tho obviously, as anyone can slip into problematic use.
I always do this to myself I don't know why I always say I'm going to just have 2 drinks and a little smoke but literally as soon as even a droplet of alcohol touches my tounge I'm one a bender for 24 hours atleast non stop few lines every hour I hate it I can't even look myself in the mirror but definitely alcohol gateway too other drugs.

The guy I was talking to becomes a different person when he does coke and drinks. He does coke almost every day. At least 5 days a week. Then becomes really really mean. Doesn’t remember what he says and he lies.

Makes sense even for me if it's not a drink up or a sexual thing it really isn't worth it better stimulants out there for fun. Cocaine isn't fun by my definition but rather practical due to short duration( unlike amphetamines 4-8hr ride) lack of major comedown when reasonable amounts are taken.

It literally has the most euphoric, hedonistic and satisfying rush of any stim. You're way off. But yes, I agree the coke crash is more dramatic and unpleasant than with amps; in high doses. In low doses though the coke crash is somehow more tolerable than other stims.

It doesn't really start out that way but that's what it tends to eventually become; just straight up sex powder. Because at a certain point with stimulants you get too 'fetishy' for normal standard porn to cut it anymore so you start paying for stuff that is highly specific. I recently got hooked on coke and it's no joke. It will make you feel like superman but costs a lot. I currently snort about 1.5-2g a day atleast and thats not even bad. Luckily I have a good paying job so I can afford it. But remember it's addictive as hell because it makes you fell invincible but will slowly dry your life away. It's not just a 1 kind of party deal. You'll want to feel that rush again. If its for 1 night remind yourself that. It makes you crave liquor as well. I'm 19 years old snorting 2g a day and drinking 1.75ml of vodka a day. It's taking 1/2 my check atleast just for coke. Maybe do it 1 time and do it. Fuck coke. Please be safe bc the only reason i tried it is bc I want to kms.

I feel you. Adderall and coke destroyed my life. Then after getting sober I thought I could just drink cause I never liked alcohol. 3 months later full blown alcoholic. The only thing that helped me get out of it was physical separation from the substances- treatment or hospital (nearly died several times). I’m 22 and have been to treatment 4 times, but I have seen 19 year olds stay sober long term
I'm 26 the very first time I tried cocaine I was 15 ND ever since then its been around al.oat every single weekend. I can Get it whenever I want without an issue after work I come home and relax but Friday and Saturday are totally different. I'll go get drunk get a bag and won't go to sleep until Sunday. I hate it. I don't even think about using on any other day but once the weekend hits its time to party. 8 just wanna be sober but idk how to even approach it
