One major difference between Fate worlds and Tsukihime worlds is Kischur Zelretch, in Tsukihime Worlds Zelretch is one of the Dead Apostle Ancestors, however in Fate Worlds he remains Human but has found an alternative method to become immortal
i thought both shikis could exist at the same time because the only real requirement for having those mystic eyes is to be from a demon hunter family. Which Ryougi and Nanaya are apart of; either way this makes explaining stuff to my non nasuverse friends easier
To build on what Tarn said, due to how the multiverse concept works, there are two major time trees that we know about currently in the nasuverse. That being tsukihime and fate. The mahoyo visual novel is essentially considered a direct prequel to tsukihime remake (as tsukhime has changed its setting from the original to remake) so it takes place in tsukihimeverse. Whereas kara no kyoukai is implied now to be part of the fate universe as case files and adventures of El melloi feature characters directly from Kara no kyoukai after those events have transpired. It gets a bit more complicated when you consider the possibility that the events of mahou tsukai no yoru and Kara no kyoukai can happen despite not being in the same world (ie Kara no kyoukai can exist in it's own world tree but similar events happen in fate timelines, whereas mahoyo itself takes place in tsukihime timelines but a version of those events also can take place in both fate and knk timelines ect) But as of right now the easiest way to think about it is the first explanation where one mahoyo = tsuki and knk = fate
To clarify further. Mahoyo CT2015 and Tsukihime take place in a single world. Some version of events of KnK appear to take place in Fate. As you probably know, Nasuverse is primarily split into Tsukihime worlds and fate worlds depending on the activity of the Crimson Moon. Perhaps some version of the Mahoyo events take place in Fate... but they could be somewhat different given Nasu previously saying things like Aoko would have still been in training during KnK events and such. Fate/SF takes place in a weird mix simply because it was being written by the poor author before Nasu came out of nowhere and said that the settings were now split lol.
It's not Narita's fault that the original April Fools in '08 and '09 (and thus the original concept he had for the current LNs in 2015) was made before Mahoyo and FGO were ever published and in production respectively. I haven't dug into the topic too much but it seems that FGO's production is what prompted Nasu to propose this "split" and he admits in I think an interview for TsukiRe that TsukiRe, Clocktower 2015 and the OG El Melloi novels were supposed to come out around the same time as two differing contrasting narratives depicting both halves of the 'verse. This only panned out for the latter 2 sadly. As a side-tangent, Nasu also implied that Lev committing suicide is something he's supposed to do in Fate as well (which is one of the many reasons why the FGO timeline is so unusual.)
@@nathan7031 Nasu supposedly had the split in mind since before Fate was a thing since they're incompatible and as the settings expanded he felt the need to reiterate the division and make it more clear. Character material burning up in the process. Sounds more like gaslighting retcons but at the very least he created the church timeline for Tsukihime Remake long ago and then created the Fate Magic Association timeline second which became what Fate follows now. Sanda wanted to write about the church but Nasu stopped him since it's for Tsuki and that's basically where the detailed MA timeline came from iirc. No one but Nasu and I guess his closest bros knew the details.
The strange part of all of this linkage is that for some odd reason an character has the same end, take Waver velvet and Ciel for example: In the Fate/stay night timeline Waver becomes Lord el-melloi II after the ending of the 4th holy grail war of fuyuki, on the Apocrypha he becomes Lord el-melloi II after an random holy grail war and on Fate/Kaleid illya's world he is an case of Idk how it that happened but happened In tsukihime (both the original and remake), ciel get's an higher role in the church after taking down Roa and on Fate worlds she is another case of Idk how it happened but happened, the only piece of evidence that we have an ciel on Fate worlds is that she had given to Shirou emiya/EMIYA (Archer) his Red coat and that's it. It might sound ridiculous, but is true, for some reasons Nasu just invents an lame excuse for an character from other work appear in other (except zelretch, having more than 1 outcome of his fight against the crimson moon does really work)
To clarify one detail, there is no rule that says that there can't be 2 users of MEoDP, if there was literally everyone would have called bullshit on Roa's claim of having them despite Shiki being proved to have them. It's fanon that somehow still shows up every once in a while
Me still wondering how a fate franchise is link to another fate franchise (I just understand that you can have parallel universe so basically the world is not directly link but..., the universe allow it and I have to accept it)
