My boss made fun of me for stimming once and I almost quit my job.

Hi, just wanted to say that I love your channel so much. Am literally writing my first ever comment on RU-vid to tell you this. So this is very serious from a fellow autistic person 🥰

Hi Rachel, first I want to say that I really enjoy your channel and your content. I’m really interested by your thoughts on using or not using person first language. My brother is a man with Down syndrome and that fits some of the same criteria of not being a disease and in that community people are warned away from saying things like ‘the Down syndrome man’ as it leads to people treating every one who has Down syndrome the same and see the DS before anything else. So it’s interesting to hear that you feel the opposite way and I love that you encourage your viewers to seek out the opinion of each person rather than applying the same identity to all. Keep up with the great work 💕

Stimming i would say can be also feelings expression. So not letting somebody to stim is like not letting neurotypical to smile when happy.
