Lord, thank you for that breeze on a hot Summer day. Amen. when doing labor work outside that breeze is something special. words cannot describe my gratitude at that moment
I'm going through the discipline of God now because I was as a luke warm Christian, after he warned me several times to straighten up, well I will tell anyone that, if God warns you to change and you don't, he WILL allow your secret sins to be exposed, don't let it get to that point.
I’ve discovered, over the course of my life, that the still small voices that are broad and accusatory, are largely the enemy. Ie “you are ALWAYS wrong, you’ll NEVER succeed” etc. However, the Holy Spirit is laser focused ie “ When you said thus and such to your wife, you did so in anger, and that was sinful.” Do not allow Satan, the accuser of your soul, to undermine your relationship with others and the Lord. Conversely, always head the voice of God immediately. The time to act is when you hear His voice.
@@Lazarusrizing just keep truckin, brother. Just know you’re never alone in it. Not everything will make sense in this life. Keep the faith, The prize is worth everything.
@@Lazarusrizing Most often it's through the things we go through. I've been to horrible places growing up, and because of that I've learned to be content with what I have and what I don't have. With an abundance or without. The Lord saved me through great suffering, yet at the same time teaching me lessons. Ultimately the scriptures is what will help us learn these lessons, coupled with opportunities to put them in practice through the Lord's sovereign purposes. And like I always like to remember, with what we go through, when we've passed it, we'll be able to comfort others who are currently going through what we've been through.
Mr. C yeah you know I want to get shot with a real gun. Just to say what wonderful pain im in. Some people like to break there leg so they can say god please break my other leg daddy Ive been a bad boy 😀 lol.
Praise God for you, Pastor John. We've never met but I consider you one of my greatest teachers and encouragers. You preach God's word with so much love and compassion while still being biblically loyal, such a rare combination.
Two days ago I had a little argument with a women. I couldn't argue much as I can't fight. But I was angry with her. Then today I felt guilty. It shouldn't be as I supposed to be. Then the Bible Verse came to my mind. Love your neighbours as you love yourself. And that women was my neighbour. I felt guilty and I asked for forgiveness to God. And now I will try to not hate or be angry with anyone because God doesn't like that. ❤️🙏
Queen Devi Grow a pair and apologize to her personally. Forgiveness from god is a given, forgiveness from her will test her willingness to be gracious and your ability to find humility.
@@mr.c2485 well I met her for the first time. And we didn't fight but small argument for something and she started it. I couldn't argue much. But I was feeling angry because she was humiliating me infront of some workers. But I felt bad and guilty for being angry inside my heart to that women. So I asked forgiveness to God for being hateful to her.
Queen Devi The scriptures tell us to give to those who steal from us. Perhaps you should offer her something...a coffee, nice compliment, etc, be creative. I think you’ll be surprised by her response. Otherwise this may very well continue.
rule of thumb: you are always being disciplined by God because you always have some measure of sin in your heart. if you aren' tbeing disciplined, you're being judged, which is not what you want.
That's true... but we also have moments of obedience and rewards/blessings. If we constantly live with the mindset that God is going to always chasten us, do we ever have the chance to get right? Where is the freedom or joy in living with that mindset? Where is the room for blessings, enjoyment of your labor that Ecclesiastes 5:8 talks about? God relented numerous times when Israelites sinned, so His grace abounds for us even more under the new covenant I think it's important to mentioned maybe we are being tested.
I watch this video with apprehension because ive been in a bit of a funk lately and weird stuff keeps happening, and i was fearful. This video is very encouraging and makes me want to be closer to the Lord.
This is sooo rich!!! Thank God for this precious, so needed message. Whoever Loves discipline Loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. Proverbs 12:1. One time The Lord showed me a rainbow after I had gone somthing sooo wrong. That brought many a Heart ache and tears. We always deserve way more than Our Blessed Father gives us. I would not trade all the hardships and suffering for the rest of My life with Gods Love than one day of plesure without It. The hiding of Gods face Is the worst thing you can ever experience!!! His smile Is The Best Paradise you can have. He wont give us what we cant endure and always gives us The Grace we need to overcome. We may get a thorn in the flesh, but he says" My Grace is suficiente for you, my strength Is perfected in weekness" So Let us take courage, God Is shaping us into the Image of Christ. Its very hard when we doubt Gods Love, it can destroy you and disable you in your close walk with The Lord. Take heart in all your hardships, for He leaves alone those He does"nt Love and often gives them everthing, the things of this world. Keep yourself from idoles!!!
Had to look it up. A good observation about sin. Strangely, the page I read the story on had comments about how trivial a matter it was, demonstrating that some still close their eyes and cover their ears. It's not about the pears it's about the deceitful hearts of men.
My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord Or loathe His reproof, For whom the Lord loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights. Proverbs 3:11-12 NASB
When you described of how you felt kissed by God after how you snapped at your wife. Let me share one of my stories...Last year for few weeks I had been snapping at my kids. I was really impatient, irritated & overwhelmed with them and one day it just got real real bad😫 That night I couldnt even pray with them as we do every night. I walked out of their room went to mine slamed the door behind me threw myself on my bed dug my face in my pillow and sobbed and sobbed. I felt absolutely awful & wretched. In my sobbing Im telling God "Im awful, failure, useless & not good enough!!"😫 After some time I finally composed myself, repented and fall asleep. I slept through the entire night when I woke up next morning as soon as I opened my eyes I heard Him soooo clear as if He was standing next to my bed & leaned over and said "You are good enough"😭 I have others stories where He loves on me & Im expecting a spank. And truth is Ive told Him to please just tell me what I need to correct. I know You love me but what do I need to change? Like Im wanting to be scoulded by Him. HIS LOVE JUST MAKES ME WANT TO LOVE HIM WITH EVERY FIBER OF ME, TO BE OBEDIENT AND GIVE HIM ALL THAT HE WANTS OF ME😭💕His pure love is so undeserving!! I have definently experienced Romans 2:4😭💕

God bless the world, and thank you for sharing.
John Piper look out for a book mailed out to you from Tim Delena of Times Square Church. There are things in it that you need to see. It would be a pleasure to work for and with you and Carter Conlon. I would see you in person soon.
How do I know...we can't read God's mind but all things come under His sovereignty. He is in control and all things have to serve our salvation. In this light, I don't know if we really need an answer to the question. Certainly we can't read God's mind so in that way this person may not get a satisfactory answer.
@@mr.c2485 well it appears you are looking at it with a jaded eye. There is no ace card here. I admitted we can't read God's mind forthright. Sovereignty in this context means both trust and an acknowledgment that God is in control of all of life. Since He is, that nullifies for me any concern over this or that happening being a discipline by God or not.
Augsburg Bible Channel Fair enough. As I stated in the comments, the gauge for beneficial discipline is the “joy” factor. This does require an answer from the disciplinarian.
In sober truth, nearly all the things which men are hanged or imprisoned for doing to one another, are Nature's every day performances. Killing, the most criminal act recognized by human nature, Nature does once to every being that lives; and in a large proportion of cases, after protracted tortures such as the greatest monsters whom we read of ever purposely inflicted on their fellow creatures … All this, Nature does with the most supercilious disregard both of mercy and of justice, emptying her shafts upon the best and noblest indifferently with the meanest and worst; upon those who are engaged in the highest and worthiest enterprises, and often as the direct consequence of the noblest acts … I will call no being good, who is not what I mean when I apply that epithet to my fellow creatures; and if such a being can sentence me to hell for not so calling him, to hell I will go." (John Stuart Mill, "Nature" in Three Essays on Religion (Amherst, N.Y.: Prometheus, 1998) 5
@@mr.c2485 If God who created the trials, takes no responsibility for any of its outcomes, no matter how miserable, then how could that be an all-loving God? How does the test of faith apply to children or animals? If God is all-knowing, then what’s the point of such tests? If God is all-knowing, then the outcomes of such tests are already known. Doesn’t that mean that humans do not actually have free will? Why the victims of murder, theft and rape have to suffer due to others committing evil through their own free will? Why couldn’t God create humans with free will who just never choose to commit evil? If a benevolent God causes or allows moral evil to exist because we are free agents, then what explains the existence of natural evil like disease, earthquakes and floods, which could be prevented without denying humans free will?
ODIUPICKU'S CLONE-1 All great questions! The Christians will simply bale out on the sovereignty he supposedly possesses. Problem: If his sovereignty/wisdom cannot be known, then it is of no value to us as ignorant animals. It’s akin to me having an ant farm where I think for the ants but they simply do what they’re programmed to do. If it’s not to my liking then I just add water.
@@mr.c2485 The invention of purgatory, and of the releasing of souls therefrom by prayers bought of the church with money; the selling of pardons, dispensations, and indulgences, are revenue laws, without bearing that name or carrying that appearance. But the case nevertheless is, that those things derive their origin from the paroxysm of the crucifixion and the theory deduced therefrom, which was that one person could stand in the place of another, and could perform meritorious service for him. The probability, therefore, is that the whole theory or doctrine of what is called the redemption (which is said to have been accomplished by the act of one person in the room of another) was originally fabricated on purpose to bring forward and build all those secondary and pecuniary redemptions upon; and that the passages in the books, upon which the idea or theory of redemption is built, have been manufactured and fabricated for that purpose. Since, then no external evidence can, at this long distance of time, be produced to prove whether the Church fabricated the doctrines called redemption or not (for such evidence, whether for or against, would be subject to the same suspicion of being fabricated), the case can only be referred to the internal evidence which the thing carries within itself; and this affords a very strong presumption of its being a fabrication. For the internal evidence is that the theory or doctrine of redemption bas for its base an idea of pecuniary Justice, and not that of moral Justice. If I owe a person money, and cannot pay him, and he threatens to put me in prison, another person can take the debt upon himself, and pay it for me; but if I have committed a crime, every circumstance of the case is changed; moral Justice cannot take the innocent for the guilty, even if the innocent would offer itself. To suppose Justice to do this, is to destroy the principle of its existence, which is the thing itself; it is then no longer Justice, it is indiscriminate revenge.
This a good video because I get it confused to,like is this discipline or is this just a trial or is this satan attacking me ?it can be confusing to know which issue your going through at a given time, when u have bi polar and a very analytical mind like I do it makes it difficult sometimes to know who’s doing what to you,is the Lord doing it or is Satan and the demons doing that or is it something I’m doing to myself!?real good thought
WHY would anyone put off the most important decision they could ever make in their lives concerning eternal life? If you die today are you going to heaven? In 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 The apostle Paul tells us what the gospel is: "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Gospel means "good news." Your debt has been paid, the death penalty has been paid, you are free. Matthew 18:3 - Jesus said: "Unless you become like this little child you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." This is how to be saved, it is simply child like, as simple as ABC: A - Admit that you are a sinner. This is where that godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against a righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out. Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (We are all born sinners which is why we must be born spiritually in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven). Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The wages of sin is death, in other words our sin means that we have been given a death sentence, we have the death penalty hanging over our heads, that's the bad news. But here's the good news: the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith & this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. B - Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was. Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. C - Call upon the name of the Lord. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Romans 14:11 For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God." Don't wait until later, do this now. Romans 10:13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." "O God, I am a sinner. I'm sorry for my sin. I want to turn from my sin. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son; I believe that He died on the cross for my sin and that He was buried and You raised Him to life. I have decided to place my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior, trusting only in His shed blood as sufficient to save my soul and to take me to heaven. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen."
People put it off because they don't believe. As the scripture says, they do not come to the light lest evil deeds be exposed. Not only that, the god of this age blinds the mind of the unbelieving. Most of us, but I'll go ahead and say all of us because it is by grace we are saved, were unbelieving at one point, the same as others.
@@trynafindmytribe5353 You are so right. He disciplined me and let me tell you it really caught my attention. I went back to him and cried like a baby who needs their mothers breast. He sent an Angel, kept telling me with his Word and got messages from Sunday services.. If you ask him to confirm it, he will. He told me to go back to him with obedience. God truly gets heartbroken when you stray and walk away from him. That's how much Our Father loves us! ❤️
I failed during my chastisement... and now. I felt Holy Spirit leave me. and myself too. and I feel no desire for God. I think the gift of Repentance is gone. I just drempt I was in my bed and had a demon push me down and pull and throw me around. I asked God to let a demon bother me for 30mins to know if he would take me back. and to make me afraid enough to care... but I did just look at p0rn.. so demons have an in to mess with my anyways. had my head rocking while praying and awake. so.... it's scary. been without God since 3-15-21... cause I disobeyed Him. went crazy and ignored him
@@mightytattz6752 bible warns of this. hebrews 6:4-6 Im not me anymore. christians are loving and they all say this.. but none can understand. the loophole is that I rejected him.. even though I didn't think I was.. my heart rebelled. and now I'm not me anymore. it's horrifying
I've experienced a very similar thing with sexual sin, demons and feeling I was predestined to hell. It was one of the most scary moments of my life, but God rescued me when before it was too late. And you know when it's already too late? When the person doesn't feel they're wrong anymore. They're totally in peace with themselves and, to them, the wrong one is God. They stop believing the truth. That's what Hebrews 6 is all about. And I've met people like that, unfortunately.
Someone please Help me here....So God disciplines His children. Then did He make the new covenant with children or His bride? He’s not married and in covenant with children but the bride of Christ. Then does Jesus’s (the groom) father discipline His own bride? The groom’s father disciplines the bride? How does this work? I’m kinda confused
For awhile now I was in agreement with you. I just came back to this and listened again. His answer is that, if we are in Christ, we are continually being disciplined. And not necessarily because we've done anything wrong (which was always my assumption), but because our sufferings serve to increase our obedience to his will. Again, the answer as I see it is, if you're going through a struggle (whether brought on by your own sin or otherwise), you're being disciplined.
If christ has taken the curse of the law how can God strike us ? Hebrew says he is the father of our spirit so, he chastize us in the spirit not our flesh. Our earthly father chastise our flesh. We are in the new covt.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them. 1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians? 2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? 3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence. 4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them? 5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it? 6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination? 7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here? 8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die? 9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves? 10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14) I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging
