As the kid of rich parents, I agree with Dave on this 100%. My mom had me do tons of gardening, and now I actually know how to take care of my own yard. My sister is 10 years younger and is an entitled brat because she whined hard enough that our mom didn’t make her do gardening. Guess who is happy with a good career and who is not.

A key point not mentioned is that you have to live the example for your kids. You can preach to your kids all you want about what you want them to do, but if you're not actually embodying those principles, your words are going to fall on deaf ears.

tc, you are 1000% right on the money. I feel that "leading by example" is the most underrated and underutilized gift you can instill in your children and in the working world to your subordinates. All of the verbal communication in the world is wasted if one doesent walk the talk. Today's kids are being bombarded from all angles with the wrong messages. Parents in so many cases are creating monsters that they will walk away from but.then the public has to deal with them

That you‘re even concerned about this is already a good sign. On top of what was said in the video, it might be a good idea to keep people in all financial states in their social circles and yours as much as possible.
