How do you land this jet? E-flite Habu 50mm maiden flight 

Landings are tricky on the baby habu. When I had mine what I found worked best was a shallow approach because when these little guys gain speed, they KEEP it. And then of course hold it back till it settles onto the ground. Nice vid!

I have no experience or interests with EDF Jets but you had a very good Maiden Take Off with this EDF Habu. Got to admire those RC Pilots who like to fly High Speed. Congratulations Alex on your maiden flight with your new EDF Jet and Happy RC Flying 😊💯🛩👍

One option, which I like doing, is throwing on thrust reverse rather than flaring or at the time you would flare. Reverse as you may have noticed is very ineffective, and will not cause a crash, it will just negate that twitchy flare and ground effect

Well flown, Alex. I'm sure I've seen these models 'bounce one on' when landing on a hard surface, so it's not anything you're doing wrong. The take off was perfect!

The 50mm Habu is the easiest to fly EDF of any I've flown so far (and in the interest of full disclosure, I haven't flown that many). It has a fairly wide flight envelope, and doesn't need to be kept at near full throttle to fly well. It also seems to be rather forgiving of less than pretty landings. I even bought a second canopy and modded it to hold an FPV camera. Hopefully, you've gotten more flights in with it, and are having a lot of fun with it!

We have very similar taste in birds! My 50mm Habu is also waiting its maiden for months... Need to find a good place to fly! Nice maiden you did!

If it makes you feel any better, your landing looked just like my maiden landing with this bird!😂 I think everyone bounces it in their first time.

Nice maiden flight, maybe a longer approach on landings where you can adjust throttle for the perfect glide slope...jeff..uk.

Oh boy ...im almost done buildind a 70mm (my second try at making a jet) and this video really making me nervous....happy flying to my friend and better landings.......in my opinion let the plane glide down and at the last second give some down elevator thats how i land ...of course small planes are not easy to land

It works 75% of the time if you have some air speed. Motor on landings fair better than motor off. Hope this helps you as well Alex. Good Video. Enjoyed watching as always.
