I came across this playback rig rundown for Twenty One Pilots on Sweetwater’s channel, and I wanted to watch and share my thoughts.
They talk gear, redundancy, Ableton views, and sending timecode to lighting/video, cameras, and pyro. I share a few takeaways and how you can even take what their doing on a massive stadium tour and apply it to your own context - no matter how small.

Awesome, nice to see a professional react to this. Ofc I barely understand what's being said but I love tøp and their live shows and I can watch them talk about their behind the scenes and playback setup for eternity. I belive neat audio also worked on Tyler Joseph's home studio

This is a nutty setup. I'm currently building a backing tracks rig, and just trying to work out the redundant laptop part right now...

MOTU interesting. It some rugged and the software is intuitive, but man every device I have owned has randomly dropped connecting. IConnectivity is way more reliable. But I get it MOTU certainly has a lot of different types of connections.

Nice video will, always a pleasure to see you explaining stuff. Is this the only option to go, to have all that redundancy and gear to run track live safe. Looks like this rig costs 20k. How often does a pc go down, every show or what is the frequency of that?

PlayAUDIO12 is the best way to do this. Search for my podcast on if redundancy is worth it to see if it’s worth it for you

FYI, you need a Madi Input for clock, even if you don't use any inputs...

I do playback on large orchestra and film shows. While I can count on my fingers the number of times it has happened, every time it has, I've been super grateful to have a backup.
