Wimborne Model Village.🏘 Childhood memories relived as I wandered once again around this captivating miniature world.😍
Located in Wimborne Minster, a small town close to Bournemouth. It was originally built by a group of volunteers (Although, if memory serves me correctly was due to someone starting a hobby that got out of control😅) in the 1950s and shows an exact replica of what the town would have looked like during that period which is a typical market.🏚
As I walked through its streets, not only did I feel like a giant (I believe😁) but it feels like stepping back in time. I loved making comparisons to how the town looked then to how it looks now. I can't help but think that it looked far more appealing back in the day. Kind of more inviting and warm looking.💁♂️
This visit to the Wimborne Model Village brought a lot of magic and wonderment to life, especially, since in the last few years, I've become more aligned with my creative side and a miniature town satisfies that.💫
Take a visit if you can and an added bonus is once you pay, it gives you an annual pass to come and go as you please. So more visits are welcome and helps keep places like these thriving and inspiring future generations.👨👩👧👦
